At Shanthinikethan a heavily pregnant Nandini is helped down the stairs by karan. Damini & Ganga welcome her to sit on the sofa, urging Mohini to make way for her. Mohini is angered and walks away.
At Payal's residence, Punditji decides the name of the newborn as "Pushkar". Payal, Shobha, Abhishek, Savitha and Gayathri present there are happy.
There is some pooja shown with basically 3 bahus united against Mohini.
Nandini also experiences pains and is hospitalised. Tanya gets the information too and arrives at the City Hospital. Nurses run in and out of the Operation Theater as karan tries to get quick updates. Tanya suggests different names to cool him off…Khushi, Shivala and Bhoomi. Karan agrees Bhoomi should suit.
As Savitha is a bit tensed, Mohini says that there is not much in common between herself and nandini, then why is Savitha worried. Savitha says that Nandini is still the daughter in law of the house.
The doctor comes out of the room with an apology and explains that as the child was not in a convenient position, they had to operate and due to overdose of anaesthesia, nandini is in coma. (Since when did doctors accept and announce their faults ??)
A worried karan rushes into the room. He asks nandini to wake up. He screams and shakes her. A doctor explains that there is nothing definitive about coma. She may come out of that state in 10 days and may not come back even after 10 years. Karan says that it is all because of doctor's negligence and he would take revenge. Mihir asks the doctor to leave and consoles karan. As a nurse gets the child to him, he asks her to take it away and never show it to him again. He says first it was Karan and now it is his kid.
Tanya is tearful and goes out to meet the kid. She says that it is Karan's love for her mother that he is angry with her. But she would not worry. She will take care of the child.
Damini & Ganga give the news to Thulsi. They say that Karan has refused to even look at the child. He is not ready to listen to anybody and does not speak or eat. Thulsi wants to meet karan and console him. What was the child's fault? She asks who is taking care of the child. They say it is Tanya. (Why not Ganga or Damini??) She feels helpless as she can't go to meet karan.
Harsh comes back from office. As he walks in, there is a great welcome by Mohini. She says that she misses him so much that she will join the office and work with him. Harsh agrees.
Tanya announces that Bhoomi is asleep and she will go home. But the baby cries. Damini asks Tanya to leave, volunteering to take care of the child. But Tanya is a little hesitant and says that she will leave once Bhoomi is asleep. Baa invites Tanya to stay in the Guest house and Tanya agrees. Savitha opposes, but Baa silences her without an explanation.
Harsh and Mohini enter the office. Mohini is amazed at the grandeur. But she sees Meera walking down the corridor. They have an exchange of words.
