Why Australia of all places?
There are plenty of other places more suitable for honeymoon if expense is no factor. And this dadi, she is a force to be  reckoned with, not simply puttar and ghee and Karva Chauth and not calling husband by the name. Also, we hear that Ram will meet Apeksha there, whatever her relationship to Ram, and his real mother too. So, it is making me think, perhaps dadi sent them to Australia on purpose.
We don't know anything about the Kapoor's background except Ram's father's deathbed request about his second family and the haar for Ram's wife from his grandpa. Maybe the KApoor have a connections in Australia, maybe dadi guesses, rather knows, Niharika's evil intent, only she could do nothing due to Ram's blindnes. Maybe she was waiting for an ally to uncover all and she got one in Priya.
Now dadi is putting in her own moves for the ultimate good of her Golu.

As Daadi Calls it - STRALIA Smile

Daadi had some relatives there  - Daljeet / Kuljeet who will look after Ram and Priya and also wil act as Spy to RaYa.

This Apeksha anyway is Ram's second sister or something (Certainly mot old love)

And Ram's mom in Australia - thats ok.. people move all over the world so let us think it is just a coincidence that his BIO-MOM is there  the mother of all coincidence they meet here there is trains or in mall

Anyway - we are in for lot of entertainment for sure..

here the reason article why aus
Australia tourism is counting on Indian TV Show to lure more tourists from India. The Balaji Television show Bade Acche Lagte Hain will be shot in Australia. Tourism Officials are counting on the show to help ailing Australian tourism industry.

Bade Acche Lagte Hain
The show that stars Ram Kapoor and Saakshi Tanwar started few months back but immediately grabbed eyeballs in India. Today the show has over 42 million viewers, which makes it one of the top 10 shows in India.

Soon the team of "Bade Acche Lagte Hain" will travel to Australia to shoot some episodes of the show. The stars of the show will be shown taking their honeymoon in Sydney. Australia tourism officials are looking at this opportunity to woo more honeymoon travelers from India. However this would be very difficult job since Switzerland has been Indians preferred honeymoond destination for past couple of decade.

New South Wales tourism in particular is very excited because India is 11th biggest market for the state. Considering the fact that India will become one of the top inbound market for Australia by 2020 worth $2.25 billion, the excitement around the show is understandable.

Some experts believe that such promotional stunt by Australia have more to do with improving image in India. Australia's image in India has taken a beating after series of attacks on Indians students in 2009. Some experts believe that racial attacks are major roadblock for Australian tourism to penetrate deep in the Indian market.

yes, that makes sense.
perhaps ekta kapoor has some kind of ongoing deal with australian tourism; because earlier shows produced by her [such as KGGK] have also used australia as a locale.

And that's why they're faithfully visiting all the major landmarks like Sydney Cricket ground, Blue Mountains, etc.
