While returning home, Kartik and Lovely meet Shanti, Chhenu and Chanda outside their house. They invite them to meet the Kaushik family. Lovely gets confused when she notices Lucky sneaking inside the house.
Utkarsh complains to Satydev regarding Bittu's generous nature of giving away things on credit because of which they were suffering losses in their business.
Satyadev realizes the intensity of the situation and changes the topic. He asks Gehna to give him the shira which she has prepared. Just then Bindeshwari enters and asks Gehna to not give Satyadev more sweets as he had already eaten gujiya in the afternoon.
Lucky talks about his evening studying habits in front of Lovely and his siblings. Lovely recalls the incident wherein she saw Lucky sneaking inside the house. Lovely begins to question Lucky about what he studied that evening. However, her questioning is left incomplete when Nimmi tells the children to sleep.
Concerned about Bindeshwari, Lovely takes a plate full of food for her. Bindeshwari asks Lovely to take the plate away as she wanted to punish herself since Anu fell ill because of her punishment.
Lovely tells Bindeshwari that humans are bound to commit mistakes and she must not punish herself. Bindeshwari dismisses Lovely and states that their views differed and hence she did not want to argue over it further.
Bindeshwari takes her daughters-in-law to the market for Diwali shopping. Lovely gets apprehensive thinking about Lucky and his lie that he wanted to study between 7 to 8 in the evening.
When Ria asks Lovely to concentrate on the shopping, Lovely feigns sickness. She seeks permission from Bindeshwari to return home. Bindeshwari asks Nimmi to accompany Lovely. However, Lovely refuses her company and decides to go home alone.
The children get irritated when Lucky asks permission from Satyadev to leave from the hall as it was time for him to go to his room and study.
Lovely feels bad for lying to Bindeshwari. She calms herself thinking that she had to lie as she wanted to find out about Lucky's truth.
