(The professor claps her hands)
Professor: I am Professor Young. Welcome to English class. I would like all of you to get into pairs and introduce yourselves to each other
(All the students get up and start getting into pairs)
Payal: Khushi. We should just pair up. I don't know anybody else
Khushi: Okay Jiji
(Payal and Khushi moved their chairs even closer to each other and wait)
(After about 10 minutes the Professor clapped her hands again)
Professor: Okay students. It is time to introduce your partner to the rest of the class. You two go first. (She pointed to Khushi and Payal)
Khushi : Hi. This is my sister Payal Gupta. She is majoring in Chemistry and she loves to read books in her free time
Professor: Lovely. What kind of books do you like Payal?
Payal: I read everything but my favorite books are mysteries
Professor: That's nice
(Payal goes on to introduce Khushi to the class)
Payal: This is my sister Khushi Gupta. She is majoring in Criminal Justice and she likes to relax and watch TV in her free time
(The class laughed at that)
Khushi: (laughing). What? I do
(Arnav's ears perked up after hearing her voice. He steals a glance her way)
Professor: How do you like studying Criminal Justice?
Khushi: I love it. It is very interesting and I think it will be a great career in the long run
Professor: That's wonderful
(After awhile it was Arnav and his partner Ray's turn for introduction)
Ray (pointing at Arnav): This is Arnav Singh Raizada. He is majoring in engineering and enjoys writing in his free time
Professor: It's good that you like writing. This is an English class after all
Arnav ( smiles) : True
(Khushi's ears perk up when he speaks. His voice melts into her ears like warm honey)
Professor: That was the last introduction. I am going to let you guys go early today since it's the first day. Have a great day
Payal : Let's go Khushi
Khushi : Okay Jiji
(Khushi and Payal pick up their things and walk out of the class with everybody else)
Khushi : Jiji. We should go and find out about campus jobs. I really want a job
Payal : Then let's go to Student Life
(After Khushi and Payal come out from Student Life they make their way towards the library. Khushi is walking without looking where she is going and she crashes into someone)
Khushi :(angry) Watch where you are going
Guy: You should watch where you are going too
(Khushi hears the voice and slowly raises her head and stares into the guy's eyes)
