CHAPTER 4 (b)
Traveling light.
Astonishment, surprise and worry churned inside Geet's mind when they landed. Geet was highly worried, she didn't know for how they were staying and how she was going to manage without any supplies on a single nightie. They took a taxi from the airport to hotel and were checked in quickly to their room, thankfully. Once inside, with Maan's entire luggage, Geet decides that she can act embarrassed all the way to hell but her husband wouldn't lift a finger until she says it loud and clear.
G - Ahem.. I need some medical stuff right now coz of my situation which I explained in the flight.
M - You didn't bring any with you?
Geet pursed her lips into a thin line and replies.
K - I didn't get time to pack.
Maan made a clucking disapproving noise, while Geet quickly wrote what she needed on the hotel stationary, and handed the folded paper to Maan, dying from mortification inside.
Maan took the slip quietly and went out, coming back in 21 minutes with what she required [Geet timed him.], his expressions more harsh and colder than ever.
Grabbing the bag from his hands Geet runs and shuts herself in the bathroom. Repeatedly assuring herself that the whole incidence was not her fault in the least.
After a long bath and strict self counseling, Geet ventures out of bathroom and sees Maan sipping his drink as he lounged in front of the T.V., determined to remove the former uneasiness Geet asks.
G - Why are we here?
When no reply came Geet decides to be more specific. Maybe he was taking her too literally.
G - Why are we here in Mauritius?
Another no comment, infact he didn't pause the slightest while drinking, this was not how Geethad planned the convo, determined to get an answer Geet asks again.
G - Huh? Huh?
Maan slipped his drink again, how difficult is it to make a girl understand that he doesn't want to talk? Very.
Rolling his eyes Maan finally looks at his irrepressible wife, not wanting to reply.
G - Huh?
M - Huh? What? [He asks getting irritated]
G - Why are we here?
M - Honeymoon.
