Heaven in hands

Hi friends being a shamelessley obsessed girl of IPKKND I was just madly reading through all your posts for past few days and have got an idea and worte a short FF/SS or OS whatever you may like to call it'I request you all to read it and let me know you view however critical it may be'

After the drama at dhaba' Arnav had no option but to stay and take her with him and not leave this silly girl'because of whom the whole meeting was sure to be spoilt so he sat down to eat half heartedly. Khushi in the meanwhile happy that her plans had worked orders more food as she feels hungry and explains that Arnav needs to go to Nainital urgently and asks if there is any way to do it, she also requests the dhabawale uncle to arrange for his mobile to be charged.

After charging the mobile Arnav makes the necessary call and arranges for meeting to be rescheduled the next day and as he leaves he notices Khushi once again carrying the hot pack'. and some bag in her hand. He thinks unbelievable man!!!!!'and asks Khushi what is in the box and the bag she is holding. Khushi replies that she has packed more food for them on the way and the aunty has given her a saree and a few salwars of her daughters as Khsui does not have anything to change to once they reach. She has also borrowed the uncle's scooter..and says come on lets go!!!! But Arnav is like "I don't know to drive any scooter or bike!!!!" Khushi now says so what I know to drive it and we just have to leave the scooter in dhaba just near the hotel where your meeting and our staying is arranged as it is uncle's brothers dhaba.

Now Arnav is hesitant to sit behind this little chit of girl and go but then he doesn't seem to have an option as if he tired to get a car arranged from Nainital but it couldn't happen. So he sits behind her'feeling awkward every growing minute.

Khushi now starts driving the scooter and is happy that Arnav had food and also she is able to take him out of the soup she landed him in. She thanks her devi maiyya and starts to drive the vehicle. Slowly they reach a place where the board says "Nainital 30 Kms" and Khushi feels hungry once again!!! She is unable to forget the tasty paranthas that dhaba aunty had packed for her. She asks Arnav "Agar time hai tho todhi der ruk kar thoda khana kha lethe hain' (if there is time can we stop for while and have some food)"

Arnav is busy thinking about the meeting and checking facts in his mobile and doesn't hear her'.Khushi after repeating twice'completely turns her head around vehicle driving and tries to repeat the question "Arnav ji hum aapse bath kar rahe hain'aapka dhyaan kahan hai (I am trying to talk to you what are you thinking)" and a lorry comes from the opposite direction. The driver seeing the scoter in middle to the road'honks loudly'.The shocked Khushi immediately tries to maneuver out of danger and manages to do so but takes the scooter straight to the muddy roadside and loses balance.

Arnav who was busily'.checking his mobile is so shocked by the sudden honking and roughness in the other wise smooth ride and his hands automatically go for the only support available, around Khushi's waist and Khushi seems to be losing her balance all the more'It all happened in slow motion'Arnav's hands around Khushi's bare waist and the losing of balance and Khushi's silly attempt to jump before the fall. Arnav whose hand were still around her waist tries to protect her by catching her from jumping and balance the scooter at the same time and by Kushi's devi maiyaa's kripa'.Both fall down and Khushi lands on top of him.

The world suddenly seemed to have gone standstill for Arnav'all he can think of was this seemingly weightless wonder, she must be made of just dreams to be so light'and her tightly closed eyes as she waited for the hard fall or push that never came. Khushi slightly opened her eyes as she felt his cool and soothing breath on her. She was directly face to face with Laad governer'.she panicked thinking he will be angry but just for a second as she could see something else more deep, more soothing in his eyes'actually now he didn't look like laad governer at all.

Embarrassed she tries to stand up'.but her pom pom from her plait was entangled in his shirt and the more she tries to get up the more she fell on top of him. Moreover somewhere in her deep heart she felt it was so so right to be in his arms. What was she thinking'giving herself a mental shake!!! She slowly untied the pom pom that securely tied her hair so that her hair became loose. Now she got up though with difficulty, as Arnav's arms seemed a bit reluctant to let her go. However after a minute which seemed too blissful to go on forever Khushi managed to get up and the put her hands forward to help him in getting up.

Arnav realized that something was holding them together when she struggled to get up and fell on him in more comfortable position'why does holding her seem so right he thought and looked in wonder and amusement at her saucer shaped eyes turned from shock to surprise and then became focused as if in concentration somewhere hear his chest'it was then he realized that whatever it was that she ties to her plait daily was struck to his shirt. Then suddenly her hair came loose and a soft breeze blows some of them caressing his neck and face. Arnav closed his eyes to relish the feel of it and when he opened them again he saw something different in her eyes now'a faint blush and embarrassment'only then does he realize that he is still holding her and removes his hold. To his amusement and anger, she immediately got up and he felt as if his world has become empty and dark again. To add to that she held her hands in gesture to help him stand up'I need nobody to help me rise from my fall'I have had downfalls worse than this and he thought angrily and got up!!!!!!

Khushi is shocked to see him ignore her hands and get up angrily'hei devi maiyaa ab humne kya kiya(oh god what did I do now!!!)'she thinks'.Arnav angrily retorts "Tum ne kaha ki tumhe gadi chali aathi hai'tho ab kya (you said you can drive very well now what happened????)".

Khsui thinks look at him he has become Laad governer once again'.it was his fault and now he is blaming me she thought, "Hume gadi chalani acchi tarah se aathi hai'agar aap hamara bath pae dhyan dete toh naa hum mudthe aur na yeh hota (I know to drive well'but if you had paid attention I would not have turned to talk to you this accident would not have happened)" Even while she answered back'she felt a bit foolish,  she could always have stopped the vehicle and spoken to him'..

I should not let his anger break my mood and immediate adds "Accha chodiyae hume bahut bhook lagi hai hum khane wale hain kya aap bhi kayange (I am terribly hungry I am going to eat'would you join me???)" she asks and without even bothering to lift the fallen scooter'She picks up the bag and is happy to see that the contents of the bag have not fallen down or become soiled!!!!

She sits down near a tree and says "ayyiyae na khana kha lete hain phirl chalenge (come we'll eat the food and then again start off)". Arnav just looks at her and thinks'oh god what do I do stuck up with this mad girl here and now I have to oblige'

"Nahi main theek hun'mujhe nahi khana'kuch phone calls karne hain who lar letha hoo(I am not hungry'I have to make few phone calla let me do that)" and he walked a bit away to catch the signal and started making the phone calls to check up on Aakash and Delhi office and also to reconfirm the Nainital arrangements and contract.

Suddenly a big drop of water fell on his nose and he thinking it was some prank of Khushi and turns to look but she is nowhere in sight'.just as he is about to scold her and look for her'He sees two ruffians pulling her away towards a jeep and one of them heads towards him with a big and heavy rod. All his senses immediately became alert and as soon as the man came near him he neatly ducked the aim of the man and caught the rod in his arm jerking it away from the man.

Very few, not even Lavanya knew that he was well trained in self defense and boxing. He hit the man with all his might and the man reeled in shock and fell with dull thud'the other two guys who were roughly pulling Khushi hesitated for moment and Arnav the man of few words didn't even need to verbally threaten them one look of pure anger was enough. They loosened the grip on Khushi's hands.

Khushi still couldn't make sense of anything; there she was trying to ignore her laad governer and eat. 'her laad governer' she gave herself a mental shake for even thinking like that, there she was ignoring him and happily munching the food when two guys came up to her she wanted to ask if the were hungry and wanted food when one of them brought his hands to her mouth and covered it tightly and both of them pulled her towards the jeep'oh god I think they are thieves and have come because of this nice dress which another thief left for me'I have to tell them I don't have much to give them'she thought and struggled to open her mouth as the continued pulling her'Suddenly the man covering her mouth removed it and other slackened his grip. She immediately told bhaiyya hume chod dijiyae hamare paas bilkul paise nayi hain'bus yeh shadi ka joda hai jo ek chor hame us dhabba ke pas waale shouchaly main chod kar hamare kapadon ko cura ke lay gaye..aap chahe toh ye waali kangan le jayae'par bus ek hi hai doosri humne girvi rakh di thi'vo paodhe kharidhene key liye..Arnav ji ke liye Lavanya ji ke taraf se" (Please leave me brother'this dress doesn't belong to me I got them when from the thief when she took away mine in that toilet I only have this bangle but even that only one as other one was pawned for buying plants for Arnav to pacify him on Lavanya's behalf) she blabbered in one breath. Meanwhile the men who already were retreating seeing Arnav realized this was not the girl or the guy they were looking for and quickly climbed into the jeep the other one unsteadily got up climbed into the jeep as they stopped near him and the jeep drove off.

Arnav thought wait wait wait !!! why is she mentioning my name and Lavanya's to these guys especially when I am handling everything. Khushi turned to see Arnav in angry stare and thought now I am goner as I am sure he has heard everything'She comes to him and blabbers "Dekhiyae aap gussa math kijiyae bus humne bus who paudhe laye they aur uske liye hamare pass paise nahi thae tho humne apni kangan to girvi rakh diya'Lavanyaji sacchi main aapse'.(see please don not be angry we just bought the plants '.I did not have money so I had to pawn my bangles..Lavnya')" Khushi stopped in mid sentence as she realized she had spoke too much already'then suddenly another big droplet fell this time on Khushi'

Arnav looked at Khushi in irritation and wonder'he had somehow known that the plants were Khushi's idea and had gone to bring back La more for his Di's and Khushi sake rather that for his own sake but he had assumed that Khushi must have given the idea to La and La would have brought them'he never realized that La knew nothing about it Khushi has gone to this lengths to make him happy'.his thoughts were interrupted when not one but two droplets fell on his arm and in his face.

Khushi and Arnav looked up at the same time to see clouds gathering and cool and romantic breeze blew and caressed their face'while making Khushi look more divine with all her hair blowing away from her face with just one single strand blowing across her face teasing her and disturbing her. Without realizing what he was doing he came forward and softly with his hands tucked the strand behind her ears the way he had done when she had fainted in his arms in the old guest house building the other day.

Khushi who was enjoying the breeze with closed eyes froze when she felt his fingers touching her face.

Both were staring at each other lost n each other eyes when the down pour started. Big and cool drops fell on both of them breaking them out of their reverie. Arnav immediately took shelter near the tree'and was like what the'why all this had to happen only to him. Only after rushing to the shelter of a tree did he realize that she has not joined him. He was about to call her name when he spotted her closing her eyes and face up as if surrendering herself to mother nature in the rain enjoying each every droplet that fell on her. Wow now she is going to stand in the rain'huh he thought mildly irritated at the same time having a strange contentment in watching her. "Khushi" he called out. Khushi heard her name correctly pronounced (which was rare as even her amma and babuji called her only Khusi) in the voice that she was so used and could probably get used to for the rest of her life'.Khushi what are you thinking, she chided herself. Ignoring his calls she continued to enjoy the rain. Standing and getting wet in the rain was something she enjoyed even in the narrow lanes of Lucknow and in dusty Delhi. But now here in open, isolated road and that too with thick forest on both sides, rain was bliss and she enjoyed standing there.

Suddenly she heard loud honking and Khushi felt someone pull her into his arms the place which felt so right place to be at the moment but the magic was soon broken as with a load swoosh lots mud and water fell on both of them. Arnav was watching this impossible girl who has come knocking into his world and invaded his most personal feeling and thoughts and was now breaking all the layers of glass wall he has built around himself one by one. He couldn't believe that this was the girl who had reluctantly stood in the parking lot in the rain helping people park their car during her tenure in his office. Little did he imagine that she loved rain then, but she was on duty especially given the circumstances and agreement and the way we felt about each other then it would have been difficult for her enjoy the rain. Do I feel any different about her now? He wondered but immediately shook those thoughts away. Just then he saw a car coming with full speed round the corner and instinctively went to her and pulled her to safety'in his arms. Her soft body against him especially when she cringed in fear and snuggled protectively felt so right'gave him strange protective instinct he has never felt for any one other than his di. All the sensations and comfort he felt was broken when dirt and mud was sprayed over them by the car.

He sensed Khushi removing herself from him and was shouting at the top of her voice "kitni himmat aapki ki hamare updar aapne kichad dal diya, gadi rokiyae dikshate hain aapko (how dare you spray mud over us)" and before he could realize what was happening she she ran behind the car bending down picking some dirt and mud in her hand Ewww!!! and throwing them in the direction of the car. After a few futile attempts she came back muttering to herself and saying "pata nahi ye badi gadi wale log samjathe kya hain apne aap ko (don't know what these people with big cars think about themselves)" She came there breathing heavily and in an attempt to wipe of the mud from her face'ended up smearing more on her face from what she had in hand. Arnav looked at her and then tried to stifle the laughter, when Khushi looked at him and saw that his shirt was all smeared with mud. Instinctively in an attempt to clean it'she tried to wipe off the mud with her hands but ended up smearing the mud that was in her hand also. Arnav who was about to stop her from smearing herself with mud saw that now she smeared it all on his shirt. He looked up at her angrily and saw that she was closing her eyes tightly and chanting "devi maiyya hume iss laad governer se bachao'devi maiyya raksha karma (god save me god help me from this laad governer)". He now couldn't help it and burst out laughing. Kushi waited for the famous "what the" to come, but to her surprise heard deep laughter from him and she opened one of her eyes and peeped to see Arnav laughing whole heartedly. She pinched herself to check whether she was hallucinating or dreaming and gave a yelp when she pinched herself a bit too hard. He saw that in amusement and laughed all the more while the rain poured down hard on both of them.

Khushi was pleased that she didn't get scolding and was also happy to see him laughing so whole heartedly'She said "Aap haste waqt bilkul laad governeor nahi lage..aap tho mere favorite Salman Kahn se bhi zyaada smart lagte hain'(you look very handsome while laughing like this')" She bit her lip and stopped abruptly thinking oh god why did I say his nick name in front of him'Arnav who heard this Laad governer for the second time realized that this was some kind of name for him and was about to flare up but soon came the compliment of his being handsome'what do I say of this girl he thought'and said "challo tum jake kapde badal ke aajoo (go and change your cloths and come)'Khushi nods and takes the cloths that aunty has given decides to wear a Salwar she goes into the forest behind cluster of bushes and changes into the Navy blue Salwar which the aunty had given. It was not her usual kind bright and flashy but of pale blue with mild silver border only for sleeves. She also didn't have anything to tie her hair so she run her fingers through the wet tendrils to make it look presentable and came out. Arnav saw her coming out of forests was bowled over to see her looking totally different from how she looked usually. She looked very beautiful in pale blue Salwar with her beautiful hair framing her face. When khushi came near he immediately voiced his feelings "tum roj se alag lag rahi ho". Khushi immediately asked "tho kya haum aaj ache nahi dikh rahe (do I not look good today)". Without thinking he said "Nahi tum achhi lag rahi ho (no no you are looking good)." Khusi who felt elated but was not satisfied asked "tho kya haum roj bure lagthe hain (so do I look bad everyday?)". Arnav was now like what is it with this girl. Arnav replied "Ab main tumhe tumahara jawab deta rahoonga ya kapade badalke chalen (Now shall I keep answering your question or shall I change my cloths and then let make a move)" with that he went behind the bushes and changed into his favorite striped t-shirt and jeans. When he came out he found Khushi dancing in the rain and was mesmerized by it. She was just twirling and turning gracefully and saw him coming and said "Aayiyae na thode der barish mein beegthe hain phir chalege (come lets get wet in rain and then we will go)". This girl is totally mad he thought; are we not already wet that she talks about getting wet in rain he thought.

"Nahi main theek hoon barrish rukte hi hum scooter pae niklege teek hai? (No I am alright here and we will start as soon as the rain stops ok??)" He stated his plan to her. Khushi who was in no mood to think about even the next moment and emboldened by the fact that he has not been in the shouting spree lately put her hands on her hips and said "Arreu aiyae na meri dhaba wali auty sae bath hui thi'ye iss mausam ka pehala barish hai, aur phele barish me bheeg kar jho bhi manga jatta hi who hame jaroor milta hai (oh come on I spoke with that dhaba aunty and this is the season's first rain'get wet in it and make a wish it will surely come true)" with that she came near him and boldly pulled him into the open rain and started dancing and twirling once again this time around him. Arnav felt the cool water directly pouring down on him and he lifted his face to sky felt the drops on his face'He close his eyes and made a wish. "I wish that all my pains and darkness is gone from my life'and everyday is not punishment to be survived with nightmares but full of promises to look forward to with a smile. I wish that all the happiness that I deserve come into my arms this moment".

At that time as if as an answer to his prayers there was loud thunderbolt and being on hill place the rumble of thunder and lightning was even louder and scary'Khushi immediately rushed and hugged Arnav, the only arms where she has found solace till date. She now realized why her heart beat faster when she came near him. It all dawned on her. She now knew why it felt to be so right to be in his arms.

Arnav hesitated only moment before engulfing her into his arms to bring her more close to him. He knew his wish was granted and life would never be the same again for him. He knew that with her by his side all his pains and past nightmares will be gone any new pain would be easier to bear if she is with him. He realized that not only all the happiness but heaven itself was in his arms now and life would be nothing but bliss if she was with him.

He bent his head down and placed a kiss on her head. Slowly brought his hands to her face and lifted her face and kissed her forehead. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at him and saw into his deep eyes and knew that he too felt the same love she felt for him. But what about Lavanya'thought Khushi and started to say something but Arnav waved off everything with a shake of head'He just raised his eyebrows and said "Kushi main kuch nahi sunana chahtaha bas bolo ki tum bhi mere maaki tarah mujhe is duniya main akele chod kar chali nahi jaogi'Kal jaisa bhi ho bas chahtha hoon ki who isi tarah ho tum mere saath hogi to mujhe mere kal khoobsurat nazar aathe hain'rahogi na mere har kal main? (Kushi I don't want anything to hear from but please don't leave me and go like my mother did'I want you to be in all my tomorrows will you be there?)"

She just shook her head to imply she will never leave him and also nodded as if to say yes she is ready to be with him through out his life. After all she has found out why her heart beats faster when she went near and him and well of course she has heart had found its home...in his heart. Blushing she once again bend down her head and hugged him. He breathed softly his breath caressing her hair. His heart has also found its home and heaven itself was in his arms.

First let me clarify you that though I have put together this Story the idea have been gathered from what ever I have gathered in past few days in the IF posts. Some of you guys make such excellent analysis and posts that it made me write my expectation which once I started couldn't stop and thus eventually which became this short story.

So guys if this story is good the credit goes of all you guys and of course if is totally rubbish then the fault is purely min for having ruined all you splendid imagination and analysis'What else do I Say'

Please like it comment it, analyze it and like it or hate it also if deserves to be hated'.I want your truthful comments as I  am planning FF on Aakash and Payal and would like to know if I should pen it down throw those thoughts down the bin'.
