Hey,

I am posting a snippet of a story idea that came to my mind! I don't know how OS's are received on the BALH forum so if people seem interested in the first couple of paragraphs i'd love to continue it :D

The Beginning

He was waiting. She infuriated him. Pacing up and down he looked down at his watch, time was running out. He didn't even want to go in the first place. Didn't she know how busy he was? Handling a business, providing for his family and their standards was not something that happened while one was at the movies. It had been years since he had been to a theatre and even the last time had been because it was a client organizing a screening. How had she managed to get him to agree to this he wondered, bewildered.

Ram Kapoor, the reputation preceded the man himself. In his 40's no one thought he would find any semblance of a personal life except maybe his best friend. He had made peace with it very early on that his purpose was to make his father's company the biggest there is and do as much as he could to make his family live comfortably. And then came Priya.

How had his paths crossed Priya's he had no idea. From being the random girl on the streets he got into an argument with to now being his wife it had been a strange journey. He looked back on the days he couldn't stand the mere sight of her and then there was today when he caught himself stealing glances, gazing at her while she laughed at a joke made on him, smiled when he was reacting just the way she said he would.

He was waiting in the living room, he had gotten back right on time, just as she had requested. Though she never directly asked him for anything, she had a knack for making sure it happened. And though he retaliated, somewhere he knew he wanted to be doing things for her. Both wouldn't dare admit it, it would put the entire status of their relationship into a jeopardy and make the 'sacrifice' look like a farce. Yes, they were becoming comfortable in each other's company, yes, they were understanding of what the other meant but by no means were they ready to admit to more than what met the eye.

Where was she he wondered? Dadi had begun asking for her as well. It was a family outing, hers and his. Maybe he should go check in on her? Or maybe not. What if she was getting dressed? It would just call for another awkward moment. Awkward moments that he had begun cherishing. Maybe he would wait for five more minutes before going upstairs.
