Here is the song 'Shadajne Paya', sung by K.J. Yesudas for the movie 'Tansen'. No other singer was bold enough to take up this song at that time! Such was the composition! The song was first given to Rafi Sahab, but he refused and said that he wont be able to sing the song in this life..

K.S. Chitra won maximum number of Nationnal awards in the category of Best Female Playback Singer(6 times), overtaking legends like P. Susheela, Lata Mangeshkar and S. Janaki.
