Indian Planning commission has come up with the newest definition of Middle class, so if you earn Rs. 32/day, you are a middle class. A country where a mineral water bottle cost you Rs 12, and Petrol is reached Rs. 70 avg per city, its difficult to even have a moderate meal for your family of 4 in Rs 32. What is govt thinks when it come up with such rotten definitions. I am ashamed and shattered by such indifference.

It's not earning but spending Rs.32/- per day per family member. Or rather spending Rs.965/- per month per family member in urban area and Rs.781/- per month per family member in rural area.

yes, thats the cut off for isuing the BPL certificate. Do people spending more than the BPL cut off get termed as middle class? I have my doubts about that.

This is all clear bullshit what does the government and d planning commission think that by just giving any data they can change anything the supreme court has given orders to re-evaluate this statistics and to get fresh once they poor people are the once who will suffer from this today getting education is itself so costly what does d planning commission want do they want that poor people shouldnt be educated instead of giving such clumpsy data they should try to improve the standard of living of poor people
