Although the actress has taken up the role as a challenge, she admits that doing a historical is not a cakewalk.
Reshmi reveals, "I began shooting for Shobha Somanth Ki yesterday and my first episode will air tonight. I have done a mythology Mata Ki Chowki
but this is my first historical show. So speaking chaste Hindi is a challenge as I have never done it before. Wearing a heavy getup will be tough too. This role was offered to me when the serial started but I was busy with Tere Liye. I was offered another part and once again I could not do it. Finally, I am playing Indumati. I think I had to do this role as it was in my destiny. The role may be difficult but as an artist it is a challenge for me. To top it, the show is being produced by Swastik. With Balaji and Swastik productions, I can never say no."
Talking about her other projects, the actress says, "I have just done the Bengali film Uro Chithi which was a superhit. I am getting a lot of offers for Bangla films but I don't know if I will be able to manage it along with my TV show."
Reshmi is also on cloud nine after the response that she received at the Kolkata fashion week where she walked the ramp as the showstopper for designer Nisha Sagar. Sharing the experience, Reshmi says, "The experience was very good. I loved the way I was applauded. I have walked as showstopper for many designers but when I receive appreciation in my hometown Kolkata I am the happiest. I looked like a goddess in the attire Nisha gave me. I walked on the current hit number Chamak Challo. My friend choreographer and stylist Ritesh Narayan handled everything fantastically."
