Firstly, Kudos writing it from Arnav, the male perspective.  That it not to say that men don't have feelings similar to women BUT rather that they have their own style of expression and noting things, which I say in the most generalist terms.  Embarrassed  I loved the whole soliloquy style with that hint of dear diary sentiment and touch of heartfelt dua too.

You dropped into my arms,

Like a star from the sky,

I loved the first line, for many search in earnest, scour the east and the west for that which as you say fell into his lap.  I liked that second line's connotations for stars from the sky are shooting stars, those that many make wishes upon, so Khushi is like a prayer answered.  Wonderful!

Didn't know what had hit me,

Didn't want to say goodbye.

I don't know who you are,

I don't know what this means,

The only thing I know is,

I see you in my dreams.

I loved, JUST LOVED, how you twist reality and dreams SO that he finds uncertainty in his reality, unable to make head nor tail of what is before his eyes YET finding surety and convictions in his dreams.  Excellently done. Loved it.

I don't know anything,

Apart from the fact it's you I'm seeing.

What is your name?

Where are you from?

Why does it feel like,

With you I belong?

True, endearment is that which removes alienation.  We begin to belong to a heart not just be in this world.  Wonderful.

I hurt you bad,

Left you so sad,

Didn't know what to do,

These feelings had me in over my head,

My heart was no longer dead.

Anything so rusted will take time to move easily and smoothly.  I like that tweaking of Heart Vs. Mind debate, here where the mind has given up hopes of understanding but only knows that something has within has sprung to life, and life is something to hold on to.

Feeling like a fool for you,

While you just think I'm cruel,

You think I'm all about money,

Well you just don't know honey.

I've been hurt in the past,

Feelings don't last,

I'm afraid, I'm scared,

I liked this detailing, so it is not the fear of the unknown BUT rather fear of the known.  Finely done.

Of what we've shared.

An electric moment,

Seared in my mind,

Burning my heart,

Nice use of heat against that hardness of his heart before, so that we can understand the intensity needed to melt rocks!  Excellent.

Felt so divine.

Confused. Don't want to lose you.

Bruised. From my past too.

I've worked with you,

You've worked for me,

I've treated you mean,

But you were brave I've seen.

Those days were hard for you,

I could tell.

But you didn't know i was suffering too,

It felt like hell.

I loved this circle, that though it is he that treats her so coldly, he wounds himself too.  His heart now entwined with his so that his calm is dependent upon her happiness.

You've turned my world upside-down,

You've caused me strife, made me frown,

I've been angry, you've made me mad,

But deep down, you've got me bad!

I want to love you,

I want to cherish you,

Want to comfort and hug,

I want to marry you.

I loved, just loved, how you illuminate those nuances of his feelings through those nuances of the word want.He wants to love her, so a desire towards a feeling in the first two lines, THEN that subtle movement towards obtaining that through more direct means, as well as the physical manifestation of love, by expressing it in a hug THEN that final ultimate sign of commitment to that feeling that now resides in his heart and marriage.  Excellently done.

Just right now,

You're making me frustrated,

You're in my house,

I know I should feel elated.

The thing is,

Right now in my life,

You're training my girlfriend,

To be my wife.

You're there everyday,

Such a beautiful being,

I just can't stay away.

What do you want me to do?

What do you want me to say?

That I'm in love with you,

And it's ok?

I had the biggest smile when I read this line.  Just excellently done, the manner that you twist the meaning of these words.  It is OK, for him to love her, as though he is asking himself, that struggle within himself, BUT also upon another glance, it is almost as though he is asking her permission, may I love you?  Just beautiful.

Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon?

Seriously, it's making me mad,

I just wish you were,

My girlfriend instead.

These little moments where we bump and meet,

Scorching my heart,

I can feel the heat.

When you fall into my arms,

It's just too much for me,

Ah, that note to the first lines of this poem, for though like that wish fulfilled so easily, it still is out of reach.  She is close, but not close enough, that sting in knowing that it is he, himself that stands in his own way.

What I want most in the world,

Is to hold on forever, Khushi.

Yes you! With eyes so bright,

I can't help staring,

Such a wonderful sight.

Yes you! With a beautiful smile,

Ugh!

My heart's still in denial.

One day soon,

I'm going to realise,

That for Arnav Singh Raizada,

It can only be Khushi guys!

LOL Cute end.  Farah, loved it!  Thanks for sharing, with love, Sabah
