mayank got up. Nupur wasnt next to him, for a second he panicked but then smiled as he heard the water running in the bathroom. He smiled as he thought of the night before. Nupur came out , fresh from her bath and looked to see him awake. She smiled .
"good morning"
"itna boring sa good morning? Yahaan aao." he called her . She walked to him and sat .he studied her face and said," kaise ho?" while getting up and leaning on his elbow.
"kyun achhi nahin lagrahi ?" nupur asked back teasing way.
Mayank joined in trying to make things normal. He kissed her on her lips and said,"teek taak ho" ,
ignoring the kiss,she hit him playfully , he held her hands , inhaled deeply and added,"waise tumne kya shampoo ad dena ka faisla kiya hain? Mere sapne tak uska smell aaraha tha "
"mayank tum aur tumhaare chutkule. Ispe hasna tha? Chalo utho." he grinned at her
"nupur...kal raat.. tum kya mujhpe gussa ho? Yeh tho nahin laga na ki maine tumhe force kiya." he asked apprehension in his voice.
Nupur s eyes met his," nahin mayank. Aur agar tum force bhi karthe tho wo bhi mere bhalaayi ke liye hi hotha. Tumhaara haq hain." her trust sent warmth through mayanks heart.
"haan mere haq hain- tumhe khush rakhne ka." he smiled and kissed her this time a little more deeply. Nupur s heart leapt up .
When he drew back, he asked, "waise itni jaldi kyun uthgayi? Mujhe aaj se teen din chutti hain. "
"bhool gayi. Ab uthgaye hain tho chalo kuch special karne ka plan karthe hain.kahin ghoomne chalthe haina"
"haan kahaan?"
"pata nahin kahin bhi. Main gunjan se poochthi hoon. Poochna kya hain, main usko aur samrat ko bhi bhulaleti hoon. Phir jaise kal shaam ko maze kiye the waise hi ..."
"hey bhagwaan! Mrs Sharma, please aap apni pati ke saath kuch plan karne ka sochengi?", mayank put his hands arond her shoulder and looked into her eyes," kabhi kabhi tho mere saath akele mein time spend karo. Un dono ke saath main college mein bhi rehtha hoon." he added complainingly.
She gave a sorry look," main tho nahin rehthi na college mein...okay teek hain. Main unko nahin bholoongi. Ab tum fresh hoke aajao aur phir sochenge." he smiled happily and kissed her again before she left. He looked at his reflection, remembered the marks on nupurs back and told himself seriously - get up mayank. Nupur se aaj bohot kuch baat karni hain. Beetein hue kal ke aur aaanewaale kal ke baare mein bhi.
MN ' kitchen
nupur s trying to get something from the top shelf and cant reach it, she stood on the counter and reached it but fell,losing balance.
"sambhal ke nupur! " mayank caught her just before she fell down on the floor.
"tumhe yahaan circus karne ki kya zaroorat hain? " she had her arms around his neck now.
"mera haath wahaan tak nahin pahunchtha hain mayank."
"tho amba ko nikaalne ke liye bolo. "
"amba? Amba tho mujhse bhi choti hain . Woh kaise nikaalegi?
"stool pe khade hoke nikaal legi.Tum kyun pareshaan hoti ho?"
"ismein pareshaan honewaali kaunsi baat hain mayank? Aur waise bhi maine amba ko kaam se nikaal diya tho woh mujhe shelf se kya nikaal ke degi?"
"KYA?" mayank left nupur abruptly and she was prevented from falling on the floor as she held his neck tightly.
"tumne amba ko nikal diya?" mayank was so much in shock that he didnt notice nupur hanging on his neck . She left him and carefully stood up, frowning.
(Im repeating the serial dialogues between MN about amba as I simply love them)
nupur went frowning to the dining table and started buttering her toast , shaking her head and mumbling to herself, " amba! Bai nahin biwi ho. Mera tho kuch respect hain hi nahin. Yeh mera ghar hain ya uska."
"sorry ," mayank came from behind her and hugged her," sorry nupur. Woh jab se mumbai wapas aaya hoon, tab se amb...uski kuch aadat padgayi hain. Tumhe nahin chahiye tho teek hain par woh kaam achha karthi hain. Kitchen ki safaayi, laundry, aur sometimes khaana banana dusting sab achhi se ..." he stopped as nupur tried to push his hands from her waist," par tumhe nahin pasand hain tho teek hain."
"agar tumhe itna pasand hain tho shaadi kyun nahin ki?"sarcastic nupur
"woh nahin maani na isiliye." he replied seriously. Nupur turned swiftly to look at him and caught his naughty smile .she hit him with the knife in her hand.
"oye careful yeh knife hain."
" ouch laga kya/ sorry sorry sorry."
"nahin. Chot nahin laga bas butter laga haath pe" and before he could wipe it with the napkin, she licked the butter off his fingers.
Mayanks eyebrows went up , he pulled her back, arms around her waist and gave her a teasing look.
"kal raat ka asar hain kya?"
"woh waste hojaatha na isliye." she explained unnecessarily blushing .
But as he opened his mouth to reply , pushed a slice of toast into his mouth and escaped back to the kitchen counter.Mayank followed her, his mouth overflowing with toast and smiles.
"mayank main soch rahi thi aaj kisi movie dekhne chalein?" mayank stood next to her eating the toast and keeping back the bartan," ek arsa hogay hain movie dekhe hue. Phir mall me jaake shopping karthe hain. "
mayank drank the water and said,"phir se shopping?"
"haan. Mereliye nahin, ghar ke liye. Is ghar ka curtains dekha? Kya colours hain! Aur phir sofa pe cushions, cushion covers, carpet- carpet kitna puraana hogaya hain mayank."
he made a face," naya ghar lele?" he asked sarcastically.
the mobile rang. Mayank recieved the call, signalled to her and started talking something which she didnt understand much. He went out to the front room talking while she finished setting the tray and followed him. Sitting next to him, she started to eat, staring at him . He was so confident! he looked so good talking so well to whoever was on the phone! He could impress anyone! Mera hero!
Mayank disconnected and asked her, " itna kya stare kar rahi ho?"
nupur happily pulled his cheeks , saying," tum itne smart ho mayanki. Itne intelligent ho. "
"wo tho main hoon par yeh sudden realisation kyun?"
"kyunki ...pata nahin abhi abhi tum itna confidently baat karrahe the...mayank wo kya projects ke baare mein tha? Tum karna kyun nahin chahthe? "
"maine kahaan na nupur. bohot time spend karna padtha hain. Hamare liye..."
"tho kya mayank? Tumhe mere saath rehna hain tho kya tum kaam karna chodke din raat ghar baithe rahoge? Ghar aaye lakshmi ko aise ..."
"yeh kya nupur hi bolrahi hain? Jahaan tak mujhe yaad hain, nupur ko tho saath rehne ke ilaawa aur kuch nahin chhaiye tha." he replied pulling her leg and running his fingers along her hair suggestively.
she suddenly got up," Main bas yahin keh rahi thi ki jab main nahin thi tab tumne itna kuch kiya hain aur jab hum saath hain tho tum kuch karna nahin chahthe . tumhaare career ko seriously nahin lena chahthe ho. Tum excel ke liye , samrat ke liye wapas aaye the na. Ab sab teek hain tho, kyun na ...mere wajah se tumhaare kaam par bura asar pade yeh mujhe bilkul pasand nahin hain by god!"
she glared at him.
