Hey everyone! This is Lizzy, your regular Mohanday - oops, sorry, Monday 😳 - updater! I'm here to give you the update for today's epi, which is completely a filler episode, so I guess we can hope for a better, more substantial one tomorrow! Supriyaji rocks this epi though 😃
Recap:
Mohan is angry that Baapji won't allow him the finances, but Bhanu suggests he ask Pradeep for help. When he goes to the Desai house he runs into Kastur and falls into a puddle of mud, thus dirtying his shirt. Kastur offers to clean it and accidentally drenches him instead. In the meantime, Pradeep and Mohan discuss the offer Mohan comes up with, and Baa and Kastur feed him snacks. He returns home, and meets Pradeep at the Ganesh pooja, where the latter gives him the file for the contract. He is about to read it when he gets a phone call from his friend, at which point he pushes the file into her mother's hands and leaves. Saroj reads it and sees that the company Mohan is starting, is called Kastur-Mohan, and fumes.
Short Update:
1. Natu shows Kastur a picture of MohUr that he had clicked at the party.
2. Saroj confronts Bhanu about the company, and Bhanu thinks she is talking about the match. Soon it becomes obvious that she knows nothing and is about to argue with Pradeep about the name of the company, so Bhanu almost tells her when suddenly Reena tells them to come for the pooja.
3. After the pooja is over, Baapji announces the MohUr engagement.
4. Mohan's friend warns him that the loan sharks have already figured out addresses and may just turn up to talk them. Mohan assures him that he'll catch hold of the money soon.
5. Saroj argues with Bhanu about the rishta - she clearly doesn't want to have anything to do with the Desai family - and Bhanu tells her the truth about how it came about. She is confident that Mohan will refuse the match altogether.
7. Mohan turns up at the Desai house to talk to Pradeep, who is still outside, and encounters Baa and Kastur instead. Baa makes up an excuse of Kastur needing to go to a friend's place and asks Mohan to drop her.

Part I
The episode begins with Kastur doing what she usually does: stare at Champu's photograph! 😆 Natu snaps her out of her reverie by snatching the picture from her, and she complains that he shouldn't tease her so much. Natu retorts that he wasn't teasing at all, in fact he was trying to help her by giving her a better photo. Kastur, confused, says nothing, and Natu pretends that she isn't interested and leaves. Kastur stops him in time, and he shows her a picture he took of Mohan and Kastur at the party (the Handshake scene...even in the photo Kastur is having an intense eyelock with the floor 🤣) She instantly likes it and compliments Natu on his photography skills and asks him what he'd like in return for the photo. Natu tells her he wants to have something that smells like Mohan's perfume and Kastur agrees. Kastur then runs to spend a moment alone with the new photo 😆
Part II
Saroj takes Bhanu aside to ask him whether there's something going on between Mohan and Kastur. Bhanu wonders for a moment whether Saroj knows, when Saroj reveals that a company has been opened in their name. She tells Bhanu that Pradeep can inaugurate whichever company he likes in his sister's name but there is no need to drag Mohan into it. She tells him that she does not approve of their names being taken together at all.
In the meantime, Baapji tells the Desais that he didn't like the act of having Sonal's seemant in her maayka at all. He complains that it goes against tradition. Baa disagrees and tells him that the children, when older, should be allowed to make decisions on their own. Baapji retorts that they should be bound within discipline and talks of his own family as an example.
The scene shifts to Bhanu and Saroj who are still arguing. Bhanu tells her that he didn't know about the company name, but Saroj doesn't believe him. Bhanu is about to tell her the truth about the MohUr rishta when Reena enters the room to tell them that Baapji is calling everyone for the aarti. Saroj turns to Bhanu and tells him that he'll have to tell her the truth once the pooja is over.
Ganesh Pooja goes well. At the end Baapji tells Bhanu to call for a priest. Surprised, Saroj informs him that they don't need the priest because the pooja is over. Baapji tells Saroj that the priest is needed to select an auspicious date for Mohan and Kastur's marriage to take place. Saroj is left in a state of shock.
Mohan is searching for his friend and finds him in an auto. The friend looks extremely worried and Mohan tells him to calm down. The friend tells him that's impossible because now the loan sharks have access to their houses so nothing is really safe anymore. Mohan tells him not to worry because things will be fine once the contract is signed. The friend tells him they don't have much time left, as the loan sharks have asked for a deadline. Mohan tries out for Pradeep's number but it's unreachable, so he calls up Reena instead and asks her where he is. He is informed that they have already left the house. Mohan turns to the friend and informs him that in one hour he'll be able to give him an exact date.
Saroj questions Bhanu about the MohUr rishta and Bhanu tells her it had been made four years ago. Saroj fumes at the fact that this had been kept a secret from her for so many years. Bhanu defends himself by telling Saroj that Baapji had made them promise not to tell anyone. She tells him that THEY have a right over their son first and foremost so the decision was upto them. At this point, Bhanu reveals to her the truth that he didn't get the loan from the market, as she'd assumed earlier, but from Jitu.
Saroj weeps, railing at Bhanu for selling Mohan. Bhanu tells her there is nothing to worry about because they are family friends and Kastur is a sanskaari ladki, at which Saroj lashes out completely against the Desais. She complains that Kastur was barely able to pass 9th grade and therefore unsuitable for an MBA-pass Mohan, Jassuben is singing Salman's praises at an age when she should be praising the gods, Natu is incompetent in studies, Pradeep and Sonal end up being more a part of Sonal's maayka than their own house and hardly even leaves out Jitu and Shardha. She then breaks down and tells Bhanu about the dreams she had about the bahu she would bring to the household, and how those dreams are now shattered. She is confident, however, that Mohan will refuse the match.
Part III
The scene shifts to Kastur, who is taking a printout and filing it away, when she hears the doorbell ring. She opens the door and blushes when she sees that it's Mohan in front of her. He asks Kastur if Pradeep is inside. Kastur tells him that Pradeep is still out, and when Mohan makes a move to leave Kastur tries to get him in. Mohan thanks her and refuses, and Jassuben - who has just returned home from the Galla house - ushers him inside, telling him that staying at the threshold of a house and not entering is not a good thing. Jassuben explains that Pradeep is with the family and all of them are visiting other houses now, and that she returned because she was tired. Kastur calls her bluff and tells her that she knows Baa really returned because a Salman Khan movie was on TV.
Baa then asks Kastur to get Mohan some sweets and makes small talk with him in the meantime. Later, Mohan is about to make a move when Jassuben cooks up an excuse for the two of them to be out alone together, by pretending that Kastur has to meet a friend called Sunita. Kastur, confused, almost refuses but Baa presses on. When the two are alone, Baa explains to Kastur that this will be a good chance for her to notice and view Mohan's likes and his personality. Kastur is still reluctant about going out with Mohan alone but is persuaded finally by Baa.
In the meantime, Natu sees Mohan and tries to make conversation about cricket with him, only to find out that Mohan's a football fan. Mohan is still impatiently waiting for Kastur because he has to urgently meet Pradeep. Kastur finally emerges and Baa gives her another reminder to call her as soon as she meets 'Sunita'. Natu asks Baa who Sunita is, and Baa tells him that 'Sunita' is an excuse she cooked up for Kastur to be able to go out with Mohan.
On the other hand, Saroj is still fuming, and swears that she will never allow Mohan and Kastur to get married.
Precap: Mohan is in a bus and Kastur almost misses it, so Mohan holds out his hand, DDLJ style, to help her get in (all those running classes Kastur, and you STILL couldn't reach the bus?? 🤣)
Episode Rating: 7/10. Mainly filler but still pretty okay. Saroj was stellar today!
