After being brought on-board to essay the Southern siren Silk Smitha in Dirty Picture, it seems that Vidya Balan is not too keen on playing a daayan (witch) anymore. Reportedly, the actress has opted out of the Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj project, Daayan.

A source informed Mumbai Mirror that Vidya did not find the role challenging enough. "She felt she had very little to do in the film because it centres around Emraan Hashmi's character and his relationship with three women," said the source.

And so, now Vishal and Ekta are scouting for a replacement for their blue-eyed girl. The source added, "They already have a shortlist of names they are considering and should finalise an actress very soon."

Vidya, however, has not been the only actress to turn down the role. Previously, her co-star in No One Killed Jessica, Rani Mukherjee, was also approached to play the lead role but she turned it down because of Emraan Hashmi.

Despite repeated attempts, both Vidya and Vishal remained unavailable for comment.

GAH! I was rooting for her.
But I just want this movie made. Too many talks about who is going to play the girl. Gahh...just make the darn movie. Don't even care who it is now.
