Preeto goes to talk to Bani who is crying, and tries to make her understand that from her point of view and tells her to think of her parents when she does anything and to think of all that they've sacrificed. She tells Bani that being big doesn't making your own decisions but deciding between the right and wrong.
Bani says she won't do anything like that again and disappoint Kanwal and Gagan or the family. Kanwal comes and wonder what Bani did. Bani goes to explain but Preeto says that Bani did poorly on her exam papers again. Kanwal scolds Bani and Bani looks at Preeto and asks for forgiveness. Kanwal forgives Bani and ask her to come down and eat as Meeta is making pakodas. Preeto and Bani cheer up and both head down.
Dhruv is downstairs but Rajbeer isn't and Preeto goes to call Rajbeer. When she goes to call him she overhears him talking to his father about not wanting his money. He hangs up on his father and is surprised to see Preeto. Preeto tells him that she came to call him in. When Rajbeer goes in she wonders why he talks to his father like that.
Inside when they eat, Kanwal comments that Rajbeer talks less but also eats less. She tells him to eat up but he says he's not used to eating such oily things. He asks for a fork and Preeto tells him to eat it with hand, just dipping it in some chutney. Preeto spills some chutney on Rajbeer and he pulls backward and apologizes profusely.
She helps him clean it up and as she tries to run lemon on it, she tells Rajbeer to hold still and then both feel awkward. Rajbeer says he'll handle the rest and goes to open the tap and Preeto tries to warn him but is too late as the tap showers Rajbeer all over.
Kanwal rubs Rajbeer's head dry and scolds Preeto and tells Rajbeer to hold still as she will have him dry. Rajbeer remembers his childhood and his mother scolding him when he got wet in the rain and telling him to dry himself. The memory jars him and he pulls away suddenly startling Kanwal and everyone else. He realises what he has done then apologizes and heads out saying he has work to take care of.
Kanwal is confused and so is Preeto and Dhruv makes excuses and says he will leave too. In private he tells Ishu he will await her answer.
Later in the night Preeto can't sleep thinking of Rajbeer and his strange behavior. Ishu comes and talks to Preeto wanting to talk about Dhruv. Preeto voices her concern about Rajbeer and wonders if there is something from his childhood that bothers him or has caused him to be this way. Ishu agrees it is a possibility. She says events in people's life changes them and they talk about Meeta and Bobby Singh. The topic moves to marriage and Ishu insists that she won't marry before Meeta. Preeto says if there is a good boy like Dhruv then there's no harm in saying yes but Ishu is adamant that she will tell Dhruv no. Preeto is confused and says she meant a boy like Dhruv not Dhruv himself. Ishu shrugs it and Preeto tries to make her understand that if she finds someone good then it isn't a big deal since it's hard to form alliances. Ishu nods but seems hesitant and changes the topic to asks if Preeto has finished the clothes for the marriage. Preeto says not yet but she will soon.
