Part 14

Arohi laughed for the umpteenth time that night.  She couldn't help it.  Arjun's mom and DJ's running commentary on the Singhania household had kept Arohi entertained all evening.  They were such an amazing family.  She was so happy to have had a chance to spend a small time as a part of it.  It's hard to believe this amazing family was Arjun's she thought ruefully.  But as she glanced in his direction and saw him teasing his DJ she knew that for everything Arjun had done to her, one thing she could never say about him was that he wasn't a good son.  His love for his family was always evident.  From day one.  It was one of the characteristics that had endeared him to her.  Big superstar Arjun, ladies mad Arjun, heart breaker Arjun... was scared of his mom.  It was...cute.

"Have some more kheer" Arjun's mom said pushing another bowl towards Arohi.  "Oh no, no more."  "I have eaten so much, I don't think I can ever eat again!"  Arjun's mom smiled.  "I'll pack you some kheer for home so you can have it tomorrow." Arohi smiled and thanked her.  It had been so easy to fall right back into the same spot where they left off 4 months ago.  When she had tried to apologize for leaving without saying goodbye they had both shushed her and told her not to worry about it."  Just like that, she was forgiven.  "Would anyone like some tea?" Arjun's mom asked standing up from the dining room table.  "Yes, and I'll make it."  "I know how you like it." Arohi said smiling as she stood up and headed for the kitchen.  "You know, I should really help her."  "She doesn't know where anything is." Arjun said standing up and winking when he saw his mom and grandmother's raised eyebrows.  "Help huh?"  "I think I know what kind of help you'll be!" DJ said shaking her head and laughing as her grandson followed after Arohi. She'd never thought she'd see the day when her Arjun would fall so hard for a girl.  And she was so proud of the girl he'd chosen.  He had filled his mom and her in on everything that had happened to Arohi in regards to her own family and of the pain he himself had caused her.  The poor sweet girl had been through so much in her short life.  But she was proud of Arjun for wanting to right things with him and her and for wanting to give Arohi every happiness.  He was not only a man in love but a man on a mission.  She knew these two, once together would be perfect for each other.  But she also wanted Arjun to work hard for Arohi so he could realize her true value.  Not that she doubted that he loved her deeply.  She saw that in his eyes.  This was the important time in their relationship, the understanding each other, respecting each other and loving each other.  She wanted them to find it the right way.

Arjun stood at the entrance of his kitchen and watched as Arohi reached up for the cannister of tea.  The higher she reached, the higher her shirt lifted giving him a nice view of her bare torso.  "Damn" Arohi said as she stood up on her toes one more time.  And then she gasped as she felt a hand on her bare midriff.  "I'll get it." Arjun said softly against her ear as he moved his hand along her outstretched arm,  pulling down the cannister.  His other hand still against her midriff.  Arohi felt tingling start up all over her body.  As usual he was standing much to close.  She quickly pushed his hand away and stepped to the side.  Grabbing a pot for the water.  Arjun watched as she turned on the stove and placed the pot on top of the element.  Finally turning towards him she took a deep breath and said "Thanks"  "Thanks for bringing me over to meet DJ and your mom."  "I always regretted not saying goodbye."  "I'm so glad I was able to see them again."  "They're such amazing women."  she said with a smile. "And along with me, they think you're pretty amazing too." Arjun said softly looking into her eyes.  Arohi looked away, busying herself with staring at the water, willing it to boil.  "Where are the tea cups?" she asked still not looking at him.  Arjun pointed at a cupboard but made no move to get them.  Arohi sighed as she opened it and frowned at the height of the cups.  "Do you think you're a giant that you have everything placed so high?!" she snapped.  Arjun chuckled.  "When you move in you can put everything whereever you want."  Arohi turned towards him.  "What makes you think I'm going to be in the kitchen all the time?!"  And then hearing what just came out of her mouth and seeing the slow smile spread across Arjun's face she felt herself start to blush.  "I meant.."  "I know exactly what you meant and I completely agree."  "When you finally move in, I don't care how much time you spend in the kitchen."  "We have a housekeeper for that."  "The room I plan on keeping you in is our bedroom."  "That'll be the most imporatant room in the apartment."  Arohi quickly turned back around, and closed her eyes against the image of her and Arjun in his bedroom...in his bed.   Throwing in the tea bags she put a separate pot on for the milk.  "Damn!" she snapped as she grabbed a cup quickly and it fumbling out of her hand, falling to the ground.

"Arohi shook her head at her anxiousness as she bent down to pick up the broken glass.   Arjun followed her down to help and almost instantly cut himself.  "Arjun!"  "Are you okay?" she asked, grabbing his hand.  "It's fine..." Arohi stood up, dragging him up to.  Sticking his hand under the tap in the sink.  "Who told you to help?!" she asked angrily.  "See what you've done and that looks like a pretty big cut too."  Arjun coudln't help but smile as Arohi made a fuss over him.  "It does hurt a lot" he lied to see her reaction.  "Does it?" she asked guiltily.  He watched her lean over the tiny cut that he didn't even feel, to make sure it was clean.  "Where's your first aid kit?' she asked.  "First aid?" Arjun wondered for what?  "Oh first aid!" he thought now with a smile.  "It's in there" he repiled, pointing towards the pantry.  Arohi quickly grabbed it and pulled out a huge bandage.  Arjun stared at the size of it and tried not to laugh.  She carefully applied ointment and then the bandage."  "How's that?" she asked softy.  "I'm not sure, I'm feeling a little light headed." he answered. "Do you need something?' she asked worriedly.  "Yeah, maybe some mouth to mouth resuscitation." he said with a straight face.  "Okay I'll just get it..." Arohi began.  And then stopped. Turning suspicious eyes at him she asked "What did you just say?"  Arjun's body started to shake.  Arohi narrowed her eyes.  "That is the last time I'm doing anything to help you!" she snapped.  Arjun doubled over laughing.  But seeing Arohi turn away from him with a glare he grabbed her arms still laughing as he pulled her towards him.  "Come on."  "It could be true,"  "I could pass out and you would need to give me mouth to mouth."  "I just mentioned it for practice sake" he said still laughing.  "You are not funny" she said pulling away her hands and hitting his chest.  "No, what's funny is you applied a bandage big enough to cover my whole hand, for a tiny half inch size cut!" Arohi frowned as he laughed.  "Jerk!" she said hitting him again and again.  Arjun dodged the hits and slowly he backed her up until they hit a wall.  Grabbing her swinging fists he slowly pushed them them down to her sides.  Bringing his body so close that it lightly touched hers, sending shivers up her spine.  She had stopped struggling.  Suddenly all the laughter was gone.  All that was left was awareness.    "Arjun, let me go." Arohi said softly.  "No." Arohi's eyes snapped up to meet his.  "No" she asked trying to struggle out of his grasp.  'You might have no shame but I do!"  "You're grandmother and mom are just 2 rooms over!"  Ignoring her, he instead said.  "I liked having you fuss over me."  "It made me think you care."  "Am I right Arohi, do you care just a little bit?  His lips a whisper away from hers.  Arohi gulped.  "I, I would care this much about anyone." she whispered.  "Would you heart race so fast for just anyone too?" he asked staring into her eyes.  Arohi didn't respond.  "Would your body respond to a mere touch by just anyone?" he asked as his lips grazed her ear.  Arohi squeezed her eyes shut and bit her lip.  She didn't want to feel so much.  How was it possible to feel so much when he'd barely touched her.  "The milk is boiling over Arohi." he whispered as he kissed her neck.  "Hmm..." she answered softly.  Arjun's chuckle brought her back to the present.  As she pushed at his chest he moved out of her way

Lifting up the milk she sighed.  "RUINED!" she snapped to herself.  "Should we start again?" Arjun asked standing behind her.  "NO!"  "I think you should leave Arjun!" she said pushing him out of the kitchen.  "Are you sure, I can help you know!"  Her loud "NO!" was answer enough.  As he walked into the living room he saw his mother shake her head at him.  "At this rate I think we'll have to wait for our morning tea"  "Arjun gave them a boyish dimpled smile.  Making DJ smirk at him.  "Have you been giving those smiles to Arohi?"  "You bet" he answered.  "And she still wants nothing to do with you?"  "She's a keeper" DJ said to Arjun's mom.  Arjun frowned.  "Are you on my side or hers?"  "HERS!" they both said in unison.  Arjun put his best heart broken face on, which only got him laughter from the two women.  Sitting himself down next to his mom and grandmother he asked seriously.  "Do you think there's hope?"  His mom smiled as she touched his face lovingly.  "There's always hope."  "But you need to win her over the right away."  "I saw her looking at you a few times"  "I think she still has feelings for you."  "You need to show her you're worthy of her love."  "I'm glad we came, it's important that she know we love her and want her to be a part of our family."  Arjun smiled.  "Thanks mom."  "Family is everything to her, and I know she feels lonely."  "This visit was important to her."  I want her to know how serious I am about her, if I'm involving my family."  She isn't just any girl, she's the girl."  His mom smiled and then looked up as Arohi brought a tray laden with tea cups.  "Sorry it took so long."  Arjun's knowing smile had her blushing prettily.

"It was so nice to see you again."  "Next time you're here you have to come over to my house."  Arohi said as she hugged DJ.  "Next time I see you I hope you and Arjun have worked out your problems and are together." DJ whispered into Arohi's ear.  Arohi pulled back smiling uncomfortably.  There was no point in telling DJ that was never going to happen.  They would forget her in time, just like her family had forgtten her.  "It was good to see you beta."  "If you ever feel like talking or need something you know we'd love to hear from you." Arjun's mom said hugging Arohi tight.  Arohi felt tears well in her eyes.  Nodding she thanked her.  As they left and walked to the elevator Arjun looked at Arohi.  Who stood deep in thought.  "What are you thinking about?" he asked as they entered the elevator.  "About how much I had missed your mom and DJ." Arohi replied with a soft smile.  "I only spent about 2 weeks with them, but I felt like I learned so much from them." "They give of themselves so quickly."  "So easily." "They're so loving, and caring."  "They just want the best for everyone." "Look at me."  "They barely know me yet they have made me feel like I'm a part of them."   "I hope when I'm a mother I can be so selfless."  Arjun smiled softly, and as the elevator opened he pressed a button to shut it again.  "What are you doing?" Arohi asked hesitantly.  "Just a second" he said moving towards her and brushing his knuckles against the side of her face.  Arohi watched as he stared at her.  "You're incredible you know?"   "You don't even realize that what you described my mom and DJ as, is exactly what you already are?"  "You're so giving of yourself"  "You have so much love."  "You don't have a malicious bone in your body."  "You're caring, and honest, except when you're lieing and forcing yourself in my house pretending to be my girlfriend" he said teasingly.  "But seriously."  "I look at you and I know that no one is perfect but to me you're as close to perfect as any person could ever get."    "And when you do become the mother of my child."  "That child is going to be the luckiest kid in the world!"  "To have someone like you to learn from"  Arohi stared up at him with her mouth open.     Arjun caressed her face lovingly one more time and then pushed the elevator button again, opening the doors.  A shocked Arohi stood rooted to the same spot, still staring back at him.  "Come on" he said grabbing her hand and pulling her out.  Arjun Singhania had a habit of leaving her speechless nowadays.  And she couldn't believe the things he'd said about her.  Her and perfect...she was far from it.  But when he had spoken there had been sincerity in his words.  Like he really believed them.  More then even the words that had touched her and she had felt her heart squeeze

"I checked with security and the coast is clear"  "No paparazzi to take our photos" he said with a smile.  Arohi nodded as she got into the car.  They drove in silence until Arjun asked "When can I see you again?"  Arohi glanced his way and then taking a deep breath replied "Arjun, this was a one time thing."  "It was very sweet of you to bring me to see your mom and DJ but I'm not going on another date with you."  Arjun frowned.  "I didn't ask you out on a date."  "I'm asking when am I going to see you again for interviews for the next article." Arohi felt herself start to turn red.  "Ofcourse, the interviews" she muttered softly.   "This time you're focusing on my movies right."  "Maybe you should meet me on set."  "I'll be filming non stop for the next few days."  "Going between two different locations."  Arjun hid his smile as he watched her nervously bite her lip.  "Um, yeah I should start the next article."  And here Arohi had been thinking that some time away from Arjun would be good for her sanity.  The more time she had spent with him lately, the more she was getting sucked in by him.  But ofcourse one article done just means it's time to start on the next one.  Sighing she asked.  "When do you want me to come meet you and where?"  "Day after next, come meet me at Filmcity."  "I'll text you the exact location."  "I'll be their early and you may have to wait around, so before you get mad I apologize in advance."  "In between shots I can sit down with you."  "Besides being on set you can get a better feel of the behind the scenes."  Arohi nodded.  That would be good she thought.  But that would also mean she'd end up spending most of the day with Arjun.  Which would not be so good.  As they pulled up to her building Arjun got out to open her door for her.  "Invite me up Arohi" he said softly.  His hands behind his back.   Invite him up, a voice inside her head repeated.  The devil's voice!  "Good night Arjun" Arohi said softly before she turned away from him.  Practically running so that she didn't turn around and do what she really wanted to do...which was invite him up.

The set was buzzing when Arohi arrived.  It takes a lot of people to make a movie she thought as people rushed every which way, doing this and that.  "Arjun, sir is in his trailer."  said the security guard who had escorted her onto the set.  She nodded as he pointed out Arjun's tralier, starting to walk towards it.  But her steps slowed as she saw Sarai walk out of Arjun's trailer, laughing with Arjun standing at the door behind her."  "You're crazy Sarai" he was saying as he shook his head and chuckled at her.  Arohi felt the ugly green monster start to show it's head!  Red hot jealousy as Sarai turned back around and moving up the steps she leaned her body against Arjun's and whispered something in his ear, giggling as she stepped away.  Arjun's eyes had widened and he shook his head giving her one of those dimpled boyish smiles.  Sarai blew him a kiss and headed off to what Arohi thought must be her trailer.  "How cheap!" Arohi muttered to herself furiously.  How cozy and convenient.  Have some time between shots, what better way to pass time but in each other's trailers.  And knowing Arjun Singhania she knew exactly how he passed time!  Marching up to his trailer she knocked loudly on the door.  "Come in" Arjun called.  Arohi opened the door to find a shirt less Arjun.   "Hi" Arjun said smiling as he reached for a t-shirt.  "Just changing for the next shot."  Arohi couldn't help but glare at him.  "Do you have time right now or should I go sit outside on a bench like a good little doggy waiting until you have a couple of minutes for me?!" she asked furiously.   Arjun stared at her like she'd grown two heads.  "Arohi, I mentioned you might have to wait." he said slowly.  Arohi didn't answer. Instead she turned around and made a move to leave.  Arjun caught her arm just as she reached the door.  "What's wrong?" he asked.  "Why would something be wrong?" she answered stubbornly.  "I don't know."  "I thought we'd called a truce and I don't think I've done anything in the last 36 hours or so to make you mad."  "Have I?" he asked. "No," she finally replied.  And he hadn't.  He couldn't help who he was.  And why the hell was she jealous about what he did with Sarai.   She had no right over him.  "Well, somethings got you all mad"  "I'm not mad!" she snapped instantly regretting it.  Arjun stared at her.  "Sarai just left my trailer." he said staring at her.  "Is that what made you mad?"  Arohi stared at him.  "No!"  "Why, why would that make me mad." "I told you before I don't care who you spend time with!"  Arjun stared at her and then smiled.  "You're jealous."  "And a liar."  "But definitely jealous."  "I am not!" Arohi said forcefully.  "Why would I be jealous?!"  "Because you're in love with me and can't see me with another woman." Arjun replied nonchalantly.  Arohi stared at him open mouthed.  "You, you are, you're crazy and self absorbed..and..and crazy if you think that!" she stammered.  Arjun smiled, his arms folded across his chest.  "Am I?" he asked.  "That night in Goa you were jealous of Sarai too."  "I was drunk!" she snapped.  "It's okay Arohi, you're allowed to be jealous."  "I'm yours after all and seeing another attractive woman wanting my attention would obviously make you angry."  Arohi stared at him speechless.  "Gotta go" "Will be back soon."  "Make yourself at home" he said giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.  "No, wait Arjun." she half yelled.  "I am NOT jeal..."  She never got to finish because he was already gone.  She felt like stomping her feet.  He was the most irritating man!  Why would she be jealous..no she wasn't jealous.  Opening the door she saw Sarai run up to Arjun and loop her arm through his.  "Damn!"  "I'm jealous!" Arohi thought furiously to herself.

The rest of the afternoon Arohi saw Arjun for a total of 25 minutes.  But she did see a whole lot of Arjun and Sarai.  A whole lot!  Why the hell do you care she asked herself for the 10th time.  This was ridiculous.  Her feelings of jealousy were ridiculous and the last thing she wanted to do was analyze them.  While she waited for Arjun she did manage to accomplish quite a bit so thankfully the whole 4 hours weren't spent seething with jealousy.  She got to speak to people on the set who talked about Arjun being amazing to work with.  A prankster, super friendly with everyone, complete professional and perfectionist when it came to his work.  They couldn't say enough good things.  Hearing people complimenting Arjun she felt a grudging sense of admiration.  But she still didn't like him!  But she didn't hate him either.  She was kidding herself but it was easier to do that then think the alternative.  That she had fallen for him again.  She refused to ever believe that.

Arohi stood near the exit of the set, texting Anjali when she heard "Arohi, come grab some dinner with me." as Arjun grabbed her hand and pulled her a long.  "Was that you asking or demanding?" she snapped as she tried pulling her hand out of his grasp.  Looking around to make sure no one saw her.  Smiling Arjun replied  "The answer is...whatever makes you have dinner with me."  Arohi sighed.  She never won with him!  But atleast he let go of her hand."  "I was just about to leave." Arohi replied.  "Okay, but just have dinner with me."  "I hate eating alone."  he said putting on a puppy dog face.  "10 minutes!" She snapped and then I'm gone.  "I'll eat fast" he promised as he grabbed a plate and started piling food from the buffet that was laid out for the crew.  When he saw she hadn't taken anything he started asking.  "Do you like this?"  "Do you want this?"  Arohi looked at the delicious food, but said nothing.  She was NOT having dinner with him again.  Even if it was on the set of his movie with 100's of people around them.  Her mouth watered as she saw him grab a piece of chocolate cake.  "We can eat in my trailer" he said already walking ahead of her.  Arohi tell him you have to leave, tell him you have to leave! But did she listen to her brain.  Nope...she walked in after Arjun into his trailer.  That was her first mistake.

"Did you get some of your other research done?" he asked in between bites.  Arohi watched as he bit into his delicious looking sandwich.  "Huh?"  "Um yes got lots done."  Arjun hid a smile.  Stubborn Arohi would rather starve then have dinner with him.  Well, we'll see about that! he thought.  "Oh this is so good." he said bringing the sandwich close to her face.  "You gotta try it." he said.  "No, no thank you" Arohi muttered.  Oh it smelled so good she thought.  Shrugging he brought it back to his mouth.  Arohi frowned.  "I think I should get going." she said about to stand up.  "Okay, just hold my chocolate cake for a second,  while I grab a fork."  He rushed out of his trailer before she could say anything.  Hold his cake!  Why did she need to hold this yummy drool worthy chocolate cake.  Taking her finger she took off some icing, closing her eyes in joy at the first taste.  "Oh my god!"  "That is so good." she mumbled breaking off another piece.  He won't notice, she thought as she took another small bite.  Hearing the door open and close behind her, Arohi froze, another big piece in her mouth.  Staring down at the half finished cake.  How was she going to explain that?  "Thanks." Arjun said coming up and grabbing the cake out of her hands.  Arohi stared back at him with a guilty expression on her face.  Waiting for Arjun to say something about the missing cake.  But he didn't say a word.  Instead he started talking about some scene he was working on and how it was so intense.  All the while he'd shoved the cake towards her with the fork.  Not even looking at her as he ate.  Arohi waited and then picking up the plate, she finished offf the cake. When she noticed a sandwich appear on her plate, she ate that too.  Taking a sip of his drink without even thinking, as he described a particularly suspenseful scene.  "If done right it will be something Indian cinema has never tried before." he said looking up at Arohi as she finished off her cake.  Leaning back in his chair he gave her a slow knowing smile.  His arms folded across his chest. "How was the cake?" he asked with a straight face.  Arohi gulped.  "Delicious" she answered. "The sandwich?"  "Yummy" "My drink." "Refreshing."  she replied, suddenly trying not to laugh.  Arjun watched her lips twitch.  "You could have saved me a bite of cake." he said.  "No, the camera adds 10 lbs."  "You're giggling fans don't want to see a fat Arjun."  "That sandwich you consumed alone with all the other food probably already added a couple of pounds."  "Believe me, the last thing you need is cake." she said.  Arjun stared at her open mouthed.  And Arohi not being able to help herself, burst out laughing.  Finally she had left Arjun speechless.  Arjun stared at Arohi as she stood up and with her hands on her hips laughing and laughing.  A smile spread across his face.  He hadn't seen that kind of open full of life laugh from her...ever.  "I'll show you fat!" he said grabbing her as she laughed harder.  "You're so in denial!"  "I think those 6 pack abs have been photo shopped in!" she said giggling as he tickled her.  "That's a challenge if I ever heard one." he said grabbing her to him."  "I have a reputation to uphold and you're going to need to take those words back!" he said grabbing her hands and slowly sliding them up his t-shirt to his rock hard stomach.  Arohi instantly stopped laughing.  Infact she stopped breathing too.  Her hands traveled up his abs to his chest of their own violation.  Oh my god she thought to herself and as she looked up at him she paused.  His eyes were hot with desire.  And she didn't have time to think because all of a sudden his lips were on hers and her hands were slipping out from under his shirt and moving to his hair, pulling him closer.  He couldn't seem to get close enough to her he thought, as they tumbled onto his sofa.  He was kisisng her everywhere.  His mouth traveleling from her lips to her shoulder, to her neck.  She tugged at his t-shirt pulling it off and quickly pressing her hands against his chest.  He was so warm.  "I want you so badly Arohi." he said hoarsely as he pushed her, off the shoulder sun dress down until is pooled around her waist. Bringing his lips back to hers making her moan.  Banging on the door forced them to pull apart.  "Coming" Arjun called trying to get his breathing under control.  Arohi lay under him completely dazed.  Had she just done this AGAIN!?  Sitting up he looked down at her.  "Come over tomorrow night Arohi."  "I want to see you."  "Not for an interview."  "Not to see my family."   "Not for any other pretenses.  Just because I want to spend time with you."  "Just you and me."  "Please Arohi." he asked softly.

She stared up at him.  Hating herself for even thinking yes.  "I'm seeing Samir tomorrow night." she said softly as she too sat up.  Arjun's eyes flashed with anger.  "Even after what's happening between us you're going to continue to see Samir?"  "I just don't understand you!"  "There is nothing happening between us" she said quietly as she stood up pulling her dress up aswell.  Arjun gave a cold laugh.  "Says the girl I almost made love too!"  "What you're doing to Samir is wrong" he said softly.  Arohi turned towards him furiously.  "Since when has Arjun Singhania cared about anyone other then himself?!"  "My relationship with Samir is none of your business!"  "Have you kissed him?" Arjun asked staring at her.  Arohi stared stubbornly back at him.  "Yes!" she snapped.  "And he's a great kisser!"  "Liar!" Arjun chided.  "You're full of it!"  "You two haven't kissed and neither will you because you won't respond to anyone like you respond to me!"  "You know why, because you're in love with me!"   "Fine, lie to me!"  "But atleast don't lie to yourself!" Arohi stared at him as he grabbed his t-shirt roughly pulling it back on and striding to the door, yanked it open, and banging it shut behind him.  Arohi sat down heavily on to the soda.  What was she doing?  Why had she allowed herself to fall in love with him again?  She so wanted to believe him.  She wanted to believe in the fairy tale happy ending.  But she knew that, that kinda stuff only happened in the movies.  In real life Heart breaker movie stars didn't convert their player ways for small time journalists.  No matter how much that journalist might want it to be true.  Arohi knew that Arjun and her couldn't be happy together.  He thought he could commit to her, but really his track record showed otherwise.  Arohi you're headed towards heartbreak...Again she muttered to herself.  And this time it would be much worse.  Because this time she'd fallen much harder.    What was she going to do she thought to herself.  What was she going to do?

Arohi didn't see or hear from Arjun the next day.  She kept looking over at her door thinking he might just show up.  Stupid, stupid, stupid she called herself as she shoved another spoonful of ice cream into her mouth.  First she didn't want him just dropping by and now when he hadn't it was bothering her.  Moping awhile longer she finally just went to bed.  Ofcourse dreaming about him.  The next day she spent in her office spending the better part of her day working on a non Arjun Singhania article.  "What does he think of himself!" she muttered to herself as she worked.  Like I care he hasn't called!  Like I care!  That night she got home late and exhausted.  Between her Arjun filled dreams and her own listlessness, she got zilch sleep. She just wanted to take a long hot shower and crawl into bed.  But someone had other plans.  As she slipped out of her heals and tugged off her earrings she heard a knock on her door.  She felt her heart rate start to accelerate.  Arjun...she thought walking quickly to the door.  Opening the door she saw that indeed it was Arjun.  Trying to push down the happiness that she suddenly felt she kept her face emotionless.  That is until she really looked him.  "You don't look good." she said frowning.  "Thanks!" Arjun said with a cough.  Walking in he whined "I don't feel well."   Arohi looked at him worriedly.  "What's wrong?" she said shutting the door behind him.  "I don't feel well." he repeated laying down on her sofa and closing his eyes.  Arohi shook her head.  "I got that!"  "But what's bothering you?"  Arjun didn't answer.  Arohi walked over and put a hand onto his forehead.  He was burning up.  She quickly walked into her kitchen to get a cold compress and some medication she had on hand.

"Arjun, sit up."  'You need to take this" she said holding out a spoonful of liquid medication.  Arjun shook his head and turned to the side. He was starting to shiver.   Grabbing a blanket she pulled it over him. "Arjun, come on, this will help."  "No, I don't need it." he said softly.  "Arjun, stop being stubborn!"  'You're not well, you need this."  "If I take that, it's going to make me  physically sick."  "No, I promise it won't."  "And it's cherry flavored." "It's not bitter."  Arjun turned back around and looked up at her with a sad defeated pout.  "Promise?" he asked.  "I promise."  "Now get up.  He looked at the spoon with the red liquid and frowned but opened his mouth so that she could shove the spoon in.  Making a face as the liquid went down.  "You promised!" he said glaring at her.  Arohi smiled. "I crossed my fingers."  She said applying the compress.  And grabbing her thermometer she saw his temperature was way too high.  "It's really cold." he said burrowing into the blanket.  Arohi looked at him worriedly.  Grabbing two more blankets she piled them on top of him.  "Is that better?" she asked.  He didn't answer.  His fever was the problem now.  It needed to break.  She sat next to him applying the compress until she saw him start to shiver uncontrollably.  "It's so cold" he whispered.  "Arjun, come on get up."  "We're moving into my bedroom."  Arjun didn't move."  'Come on, it's warmer in there" she said tugging at his arm.  He finally sat up and as he slowly stood up, he leaned on Arohi.  She wrapped one arm around his waist as they walked.  "Wait here" Arohi ordered as she quickly got her bed ready for Arjun.  As she turned around to grab more pillows she saw him already laying on the bed.  Poor Arjun she thought worriedly.  She tucked her warm duvet around him and took a step to leave the room to make him some tea.  "Stay with me Arohi." he whispered.  Arohi sighed as she sat down next to him and brushed his hair from his pale face.  Leaning down she couldn't help but kiss his forehead.  "I'm going to get you something to drink." she whispered.  "You need fluids."  "I need you" he said softly opening his eyes and looking up at her.  Arohi almost melted.  "I promise I'll be right back" she whispered.   "You close your eyes and rest."

Arohi quickly hurried away, putting tea on and grabbing a fresh of glass of water.  Walking back to the bedroom she stared worriedly at Arjun who seemed to be fast asleep now.   Then she let her gaze drift over her bed.  Arjun was in her bed.  It was such an odd feeling.  And the way he was sprawled out he looked like he belonged there.  Stop your stupid thoughts Arohi, she told herself sternly as she returned to her kitchen.  Why are you taking care of a man you supposedly have no feelings for?" said a little voice in her head.  Arohi ignored it.  "Why are you worrying so much about a guy who caused you so much heartbreak."  Arohi poured the light tea into a mug for Arjun and walked over to her bedroom.  "Why not just have told him to go home."  "Have one of his "women" take care of him."  Arohi closed her eyes against the stupid voice.  Checking Arjun's forehead again she could tell he still had a fever.  "Arjun, drink something." she said soothingly.  "Arohi, come closer" Arjun said pulling at her arm.  "it's so cold.  Arohi paused and then pushed any silly doubts from her head, he's sick she thought to herself as she got under the duvet with him.  Instantly he was burrowing into her.  "Better." she asked as she wrapped her arms around him.  His head rested against her chest.  He was asleep again.  "Why are you..." started that little voice in her head again.  "Because I love him!" Arohi snapped and then slower...because I'm in love with him.   Throughout the night she applied cold compresses and tried to keep him hydrated, he was uncomfortable, restless, tossing and turning.  But she noticed when he was snuggled against her, he slept soundly. So she slept against him the whole night.  Listening to his steady breathing.  Feeling his warm, hard body rested against her.  It felt so right she thought to herself.  His hand rested lightly against her own.  His fever had broken sometime in the middle of the night.  As she stared  down into his handsome face she felt tears form in her eyes.  Yup, this time it was going to be a lot harder.

Okay there's the next part.  thanks for reading and please comment! Thanks and take care

First again 😊

i've read this entire update with a smile on my face... and a laughter here and there 😉

finally arohi laughed, thanks to DJ and arjuns mom...loved the way DJ analysed their situation... arjun needs to work hard to get her to realise her value! how sweet is that... loved the way arohi was fussing over arjuns cut and getting jealous about sarai😆

alongwith arohi im falling real hard for this arjun too 😍 the way he is trying to woo her is amazing... he is lucky to have such an family to support him, thats what is giving him confidence that he can win her over again i guess!!!

the part where he goes to her when hes sick and the way she takes care of him is endearing ❤️

Raman- im just loving the way this story is progressing... you' re an amazing writer! Kudos to you for the part where DJ is thinking about arjun and arohi 👏 shes just like the cool DJ of kmh2... aah memories!
