Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein (New MG FF) Note on Page 7

Hello again! First, I would like to apologise for leaving Speak of the Devil unfinished. I couldn't carry on because my mind is all scrambled. Sorry if you were looking forward to the updates. However, I am sure this FF won't go down the same route (I hope).

This FF is called Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein and is the story of two individuals, Maan and Geet.  Geet wants to go travelling but is short on funds. When her friend Sahil asks her to pretend to be his best friend Maan's girlfriend for two months, Geet agreed. Will they be just that or does fate have other plans? Will Geet realise that it's not easy money after all and she's losing much more in the process? Will they realise their love for each other and most of all will they accept it themselves?

Dedicated to lil.mizz.smexii, shah10 and MaanKiGeet.. who were looking forward to Speak of the Devil. I'm so sorry girls and hope this makes up for it.

Part 1:

Maan:

Maan looked at his watch which read 7:20. There was twenty minutes till Geet's flight landed and he was exactly twenty minutes away from the airport. 'Damn, didn't know that meeting would run long,' he thought to himself. Maan got into his car and sped away. He also shot a small prayer to babaji hoping he would make it. He had to, if he was to make a good first impression. He still hadn't figured out why it mattered. 'Because I am Maan Singh Khurana and don't want anyone to have one up on me,' he said to himself.

Twenty one minutes later Maan was sat at the airport cafe, Chai Latte in hand, waiting. Her flight had landed before time but she wasn't out yet. He took a deep breath and looked at Gate no 8. The passengers were starting to shuffle out now. He saw a mother wrestling with her kid, a teenage couple laughing over some secret joke and Geet. She was dressed in blue straight legged jeans, a baby pink vest and gold ballet flats. Her outfit was simple and yet she managed to have so many eyes on her. She seemed oblivious to this or didn't care; Maan didn't know which one it was. She looked around searching for someone and he moved forward till he was facing her back. 'Geet,' ' On hearing her name she turned around... 'Hello Maan,' she said with a sincere smile on her face.

Geet:

Geet checked her face in the mirror for the fourth time. She wasn't checking for signs of fatigue but to see if her nervousness showed and it did a little bit but that could be due to the jet lag, no?

'Okay time to go,' She took a deep breath and made her way toward the gate. How could she miss someone so handsome? 'He must not be here yet,' she thought and that's when she heard a sexy voice calling her name. Her face lit up and she turned around to greet her 'Boyfriend.'

'Shall we?' said Maan, taking her trolley. On the way out Geet bumped into someone... 'I'm -,' 'Geet?' Geet looked shocked, then happy and squealed 'Vicky!!! Long time no see. Oh this' my bf 'Maan Singh Khurana,' they both said in unison '-and Maan this is 'Vicky,' Maan and Geet said in unison. The three of them laughed and it took Geet a while to figure out they were brothers. 'Anyway got to go, see you later ...Geet Bhabhi,' Vicky teased. He then hugged them and went to join a man in departures.

Geet:

They walked in silence towards the car. Maan loaded Geet's luggage while she stood there awkwardly. She decided to make conversation with the man whose girlfriend she was to be for the next two months... 'Soo I'm Geet,' she said, playing with her tote. 'Maan was the reply that followed as he gestured for her to get into the car as he walked to the driver's side.

Five minutes into the journey and neither said a word. Geet decided to try again and was thinking of topics when Maan said 'how do you know Vicky?' 'MMM we went to University together - in Amsterdam,' she added, in case Vicky too like her had gone to more than one University. 'Interesting, He will have rang the Mansion by now so I'm afraid, we have less time to prepare.' Mansion? Geet thought; did he just say Mansion? Maybe it's just a name, like ours 'Manchanda Mansion. 'Manchanda Mansion, oh I should go visit Dad,' Geet thought. 'Maan,'

Maan:

He instantly looked up. Like her voice was pulling him towards her, commanding his attention. His name had never sounded so good, as it did when leaving Geet's lips. He somehow remembered to talk and said, 'Yes Geet?'

'I would want to visit my Dad, if that's okay with you?'

'Yeah sure, I'll take you now, where does he live?'

Geet told him the addressed and they were on their way to Poonam Nagar.

Geet:

Geet was about to close the door when she ran out and told him, 'I shan't be long, a quick hi and that's it.'

'Please don't as you have to check in before 8:30.'

Maan saw her disappearing into the house and decided to carry on with his train of thoughts. Geet was attractive, there was no doubt about this but there was something else about her that attracted him. How is that possible as he knew nothing about her other than her name and that she wanted to travel. Yet this unknown girl who he'd met an hour back made him feel at ease. Something he must look into he said and waited for her to come back out.
