Part 14:
As he drove off, changing brakes with quick movements,
speeding up by the second Arnav was fuming with rage. Why the hell was he getting so effected by this girl and the things she said and did.. while he was yelling at her all the while, somewhere deep inside his heart he always felt she perhaps meant no harm and whatever she said and did was not wrong after all.. but the conflicting thoughts in his mind, where suddenly his heart was beginning to play havoc messed him up even more ... Her laughter annoyed him, but the way her sister smiled while she was with this girl seemed to stop him ... she free spirit made him feel liberated, but he was too scared of living that life ... and before he would have to think more, he jerk stopped the car since he had reached office in her thoughts ... no woman was allowed to over power Arnav Singh Raizada and his thoughts ... No one had done it so far... No one would even now .. and then his phone rang again... and as he saw Lavanya's number flashing he looked at it and allowed it to ring as he put his fone back in the pocket.
Delhi:
Bua ji had told Payal that the boy would meet her at a coffee shop and also told her she would have accompanied had it not been for a pooja she had to attend. She also told her in Delhi, she would have to get used to the idea of travelling by herself, and besides this was a close family friend ... and their son, there was actually no need for her to get worried...
Payal had made up her mind, as to what she would talk to the guy! Since she had gotten to Delhi though it had just been a day she had been missing Khushi, and felt her sisters being around would help her. Khushi had always found solutions to her problems even without her having to say it. Such is the bond the sisters shared.
And just as they say, when you wish for something with all your heart it actually comes true the phone begins to ring... and Payal has just a few lines to say ...
Khushi ... kaisi ho ... tumhari baahut yaad aa rahi hai ... she tells her what her plans for the day are ... and khushi hurriedly hangs up ...
A few minutes later... Khushi calls up Payal and tells her... " jeeji aap ek kaam karo ... aap uss jaga pe jaldi chali jao, taake aapke wahan pe shaanti se baith ke sab dekh sako ... woh kaise chalte hai, logo se kaise baat karte hai, uthe baithe hai ... iss sab se aapko pata toh chalega na woh kaise insaan hai ..."
Payal: mujhe yeh sab nahi jana Khushi ...issey koi farak nahi padta ke main kissey shaadi karoon .. ab main tang aa chuki hoon amma aur babuji ko bar bar na kehke...
Khu: aapko farak nahi padta lekin hume toh padhta hai na ... aap humare liye yeh kardo jeeji ... please ... aur kya pata jaldi jaane se aapko kya dekhne ko mil jaaye .. ( thrilled)
On the other side Anjali also is finishing her conversation : jee 4 baje .. sharp ... aap wahan jayiye toh sahi ... aapko sab pata chal jayega ...aur haan .. hume khush khabri ka intezaar rahega ...
Anjali hangs up thrilled as both the girls shake hands excitedly ... they now anxiously await the next step of their effort ...
a while later...
Sham thankfully had not been around since Anjali tells Khushi he had set off on one of his tours. he travels alot she had told Khushi and solves people's problems everywhere ... But this problem is wherever he oes people get so attached to him, he ends up spending a little extra time with them.. thats his way of adding a personal touch to his work ... she had told him... for Khushi it was a little hard to listen to such ncie things about a man like him, but she had hoped he may have changed as a man. May be had realised his mistake which was why he was pretending to not know her ...she decided as long as they didnt cross paths, and she would get help for her sister she was not bothered about anything else ...
looking around, Khushi lands up in Arnavs room, clean, stylishly done, with minimal things around unlike her own, where she had things right from her childhood...she had grown up with those memories that had very much been a part of her life and had made her what she was today ... the brick brown of her room with rangoli designs carved on the walls looked gaudy when compared to the shades of pure white and grey.. there was something terribly depressing about that room ... there had been some pictures hanging on the wall, very deep meaningful ones, but she was pretty sure it was he who may have picked them ... it may have been Anjali ..since, the idea of giving that kind of importance to things around him didnt seem like the ASR she had met at all ... however in the midst of all the pictures there was one black and white picture of a slightly younger looking Arnav, and a girl who was kissing him on his cheek and she instantly closed her eyes embarrassed ...
"mere ghar se jaano ko kaha tha, tum toh mere kamre main hi ghus gayi..."
Khushi turns around to see no one around .. she peeps to see if Arnav is anywhere in sight and realises she had been dreaming and even in her dream he had been telling her things ... she instantly ran outta the room ...
Anjali who had just then made pakodas served some to Khushi and looked a the clock nervously .. kya ho raha hoga wahan?
Delhi:
An anxious Payal cant believe her eyes when she see's Akash walk into the coffee shop.. she thinks she could be dreaming.. But the moment Akash see's Payal he realises why his sister had sent him there .. At that moment he is in half mind to just turn around and leave since he doesnt know how to react ... He decides to go make casual conversation with her ... He walks up to her...
Hello Payal ji ...
Kaise hai aap.. she asks nervously ...
Main accha hoon ... aur aap ... ( kicking himself for asking her such a boring mundane question) as she merely shakes her head meaning to say she is okay... she cant barely meet his eyes and he notices she has turned all red in her face ...
Payal gets nostalgic as Akash has worn a lemon yellow shirt, and has a notebook in is hand, as she remembered him always carrying that book with him always in college too ...
Aap aaj tak yeh kitab apne saath leke ghoomte hai ... She asks him and then realises what a blunder she had made ...
Kya matlab hai aapka ... Akash asks her suprised ...
Mera matlab hai ... ke yeh kitab toh kitna purana lagta hai na ...
Main yeh kitaab humesha apne paas rakhta hoon, taake jab bhi mujhe likhne ka mann kare main, wahin pe baith ke likh doon...
jaanti hoon, she says under her breath ...
Ji ... he asks her .. she shakes her head ...
With a few casual and formal lines here and there, Akash and Payal finally feel at ease with their conversation, and thats when Payal tells him where she had studied...
"arey... main bhi woh wahin se padha hoo"...
Jaanti hoon says Payal ...
Ak: Matlab aap mujhe pehle se jaanti hai ...
Payal: Lamhe Lamhe ka Intezaar, Dhadkan ki Shor aur ...
Ak: Baap re ...aap ko toh woh choti choti kahaniya bhi yaad hai ...kamal hai hum college main kabhi miley kyun nahi ? ( a little amused yet intrigued)
Just then a voice calls out ... "excuse me, aap hi payal ho na, main Vikrant, aapki bua ji ne bataya hi hoga na ... "
Akash is confused, Payal is also lost for words, and the man standing in between the of them isnt giving an approving look either !!
As the clock strikes 6, Khushi tells Anjali she will now have to leave since her parents would get worried. She tells her, she is glad they met and she hopes they will meet again ... Anjali offers to drop her, but there is no car available ... Just as they get out of the house...Arnav drives back into the house and is annoyed to see Khushi still there ... but before he can say anything ... Anjali opens her mouth and says ...
"chaliye na chote, Khushi ko ghar tak chod ke aate hai ... warna andhera ho jayega ... "
he knows there is no car around, his jeejaji may have taken it, and Akhah had droven to delhi this morning as well, so he knows the only option he has is to listen to his di, atleast he would get rid of this girl and make sure she isnt in front of his eyes ...
Anjali gets onto the front seat ... Khushi sits behind while Arnav starts to drive rash as usual. As they drive on much to Anjali's shock she see's a known face on the road... and she reacts ... " yeh yahan kya kar rahey hai " ... Arnav turns around to look at Shyam, who is getting into a tent with a young village girl, in a camp sort of a place where there are loads of other tents ... All of them including Khushi stare in shock.
