Part 2 :
Mayank came home in the evening and was immediately provided with some snacks and tea by his Ma who had come home, from her work, just a few minutes before him. She walked towards him with a smile and Mayank smiled back at his favourite person, his Ma, who was also the only other resident of the house apart from him. He was a strong individual with the virtue of great success in his life and no one was amazed with the fact that he had progressed at his work more than an average person would have and how he continued it at his own relaxed pace. He was smart, intelligent, strongly built, brave, a bit stubborn supported by his strong ways to show arrogance to people at times he wanted to, but all of it were balanced by his looks, his smile, and style quite conviniently because people generally found it hard to find themselves opposing him or not agree with him, though he never intended exactly that but was fine with how things ususally turned out because he knew he was generally right in what he chose or suggested.
His Ma was one complete proud mother, for she absolutely had no regrets from life which had gifted her such a perfect son who only bowed down to her demands, if any and her decisions and teachings were what he considered as his lifetime source of constant teachings and wanted to achieve his goals also to make her rest now, so that she enjoys life just by living it to her hearts' contents without too much painstaking now thay he was there to share her responsibilities and also the pain which she never projected as existent.
Shilpa Sharma came and sat from across the couch on a single adjacent one and took a sip of tea made by her ownself when Mayank asked quickly after taking his tea's sip, "Ma, phir meethi chai...aapko kam shakkar lena chahiye naa...aapki age mein aur specially high BP ke saath toh aapko khud hi koshish karni chahiye!" and stopped her from taking any more sips of her tea by taking away the cup from her hand and said, "Ma...aapko chahiye toh main fresh tea laata hoon aapke liye...bina sugar ke...achcha thodi si sugar...aap rukiye..." and he got up to leave when Shilpa Sharma stopped him holding her cup again and said, "Arrey Mayank...maine sugar free daala hai...ab se main yahi use karoongi...uss phiki chai ko pee pee kar mera mann bhi phika ho jaata hai...aur phir main teri tarah ban jaaoungi..." and laughed at Mayank's irritated expression.
Mayank took his seat back leaving the cup in her hand and said, "Sugar free hai toh theek hai...par chai kuch jyaada hi meethi hai, aur yeh sugar free nahi lag rahi hai Ma..."
Shilpa Sharma smiled and said, "Usme maine sugar add kiya hai...ab ghar ka saara sugar khatam karne ki responsibility ab tujhpar hi hai beta..."making a dramatic face to show the depth of her words.
Mayank laughed shaking his head and Shilpa Sharma joined him in laughing and said, "Aaj mere office mein nayi recruitment hui hai...Nupur ki..."
Mayank repeated, "Nupur!...toh?"
Shilpa Sharma continued speaking, "Puri baat toh sun beta...ussi ne mujhe yeh sugar free ki bottle di thi...woh kissi ke liye ghar le jaa rahi thi par meri baatein sunkar mujhe de diya usne...maine bahut mana kiya par woh maani hi nahi...mere desk par rakh kar chali gayi...bahot pyaari ladki hai..."
Mayank questioned, "Usne aapko yeh gift kiya isliye pyaari hai?"
Shilpa Sharma glared at him and said, "Jee nahi...uski baatein aur harkatein...dil ki ek dum saaf lagti hai..."
Mayank furrowed his brows and said, "Ma...itne jaldi itni achchi opinion...aap usse itne jaldi kaise jaan gayi?"
Shilpa Sharma kept her empty cup down and said with confidence, "Experienced hoon...logon ko samajhti hoon..."
Mayank knew his Ma was right when she said that so he just nodded his head and continued with his snacks and started surfing through his favorite channels Discovery, National geaography, News etc when suddenly he looked at Shilpa Sharma with some recollecting thoughts and said, "Ma...aapke office mein jo ladki aayi hai -"
Shilpa Sharma immediately corrected him, "Nupur"
Mayank repeated, "Haan Nupur...kya usne Red salwar kameez pehna tha...high pony tail aur badi badi aankhen thi uski?"
Shilpa Sharma asked pretending almost shocked, "Hamara office kya news mein telecast hone laga hai?"
Mayank rolled his eyes and told her about the morning incidence and judging her he said, "Ma...aap jaisi opinion meri bilkul nahi hai Nupur ke baare mein...matlab koi office 1 hour late jaata hai?"
Shilpa Sharma defended her, "First day tha bichari ka...aur woh iss shehar mein bhi nayi aayi ha...kuch waqt lagega naa...aur teri opinion toh ladkiyon ke baare mein rehne hi de..."
Mayank retorted back, "Kyun meri opinion kyun rehne doon?...main ladkiyon ke against jaan boojhkar kuch nahi sochta...haan, in general woh kaafi unnecessary cheezon mein reh jaati hain...waise ladko ki bhi kami nahi hai iss category mein...haan, par kuch women aisi hoti hain jo mujh jaise ladko ko achchi upbringing ke saath capable banati hain...par mujhe woh itni sensible nahi lagi Ma" though he did not for once mention how he had noticed her too but for different reasons which were not even clear to himself.
Shilpa Sharma smiled and said, "Achcha, ab mujhe maska mat laga...main teri baaton pe aise agree nahi karoongi...aur 10 minutes mein kissi ke baarein mein opinion banana theek nahi hai...pata nahi mujhe kitni mehnat karni padegi jab teri shadi hogi...tu kahan kissi ki sunta hai...mujhe toh abhi se meri bahu ki chinta ho rahi hai...on second thoughts, kya teri shaadi hogi?...kyunki mere iss demanding bete ko koi ladki jaldi pasand kahan aane waali hai?"
Mayank made an irritated face at her train of thoughts soon shifting into his non-favourite and her favourite topic but forcing a smirk he replied, "Toh, achcha hai naa Ma...tumhe typical saas- bahu shows ki tarah jhagadna nahi padega...tum bhi khush, main bhi khush..."
Shilpa Sharma snapped back saying, "Haan...kyun nahi...itni khushi se toh main mar hi jaaoungi...mere liye thodi kam khushi ki prayer karna haan..."
Mayank shaked his head and concentrated back on discovery channel...
Mayank was again standing in the line for the auto, next rainy morning, when his eyes fell on the girl standing in front of him trying to manage her umbrella, her handbag, some file along with her mobile with great difficulty. Soon her face came into view as the mobile in her hand fell and he was quick enough to catch it and looked up to return it back to her when she said smiling 'Thanks' looking at him and after standing back in his position he asked amazed with a stern face, "Tum, phir 1 ghante late ho?"
