In Dwaraka, Daruka enters Krishna's chamber. Krishna describes to him the importance of a charioteer, and praises him for both his wartime & peacetime activities, like finding out about the wellbeing of the subjects. He tells Daruka that today is his most important journey, and asks him to take him to Kundinpur so that he can make Rukmini queen of Dwarka. He asks that it be kept secret from Balaram.
In Sishupala's room, 2 of his maids, while applying haldi on him, are busy buttering his fiancee as well π Sishupala asks what they were discussing, and they tell him that he was nowhere near as beautiful as his queen π This makes Sishupala curious and impatient about seeing Rukmini.
Krishna mounts his chariot and asks Daruka to take the chariot faster than the wind, so that they arrive @ Kindinpur tomorrow
In Rukmini's room, one of her attendents asks her how can she have so much faith in someone she's never met? Rukmini asks Vishaka whether she's ever prayed? Vishaka tells her that everyone does, and Rukmini asks her whether she's ever met GOD? She tells her that it's a matter of faith, and everybody has that in their hearts that keep them going. Vishaka tells her she understands, but can't see any signals of him coming. Rukmini is confident that he will.
At night, an intruder - male, but disguised as a woman π - enters Rukmini's palace. He tries to slip in, and Rukmini, and in another room, Jarasandha, too get alert. The guards surround him and confront him w/ their spears, but the intruder grabs one guard's spear and blocks the others. In the meantime, Jarasandha arrives @ the spot and knocks the intruder down. He then raises his sword against him, saying that such a coward who disguises himself as a woman had to be Krishna, and uncovered his face.
It was Sishupala ππ€£ Jarasandha is shocked to see him, and slaps him π€£ He tells Sishupala that had he been discovered, he'd have sullied the fair name of both Chedi & Magadha! He tells him that he's unworthy to be a ruler, and that people are great by their karma, not by their birth or relationships. Sishupala apologizes, and Jarasandha warns him not to repeat it. Rukmini asks Lata about it, and Lata tells her it's Sishupala π Rukmini is tense.
Daruka asks Krishna the same question as Vishaka - having never seen Rukmini and doesn't know whether she's worthy to be the princess of Dwarka, how did he decide to accept her appeal? Krishna talks about the honor and importance of women in life, and the duty of men to respond to their appeals for help, and protect them. Daruka is impressed ππΌ
An attendant tells Balaram about the arrival of Vasudev & Devaki. Balaram and Revathy welcome them. Devaki asks about Krishna, and Balaram sends Revathy to get him. Devaki is surprised that Krishna wasn't there to welcome her and maybe his love for her has decreased. Balaram tells her that all Krishna knows to do is love. π Revathy returns and tells them that Krishna is not in Dwarka, and gives him Rukmini's letter. Balaram reads it, and tells Devaki that Krishna has gone to Kundinpur. Vasudev tells Balaram that he should have stopped Krishna, and Devaki is concerned that Jarasandha and all his allies are in Kundinpur. Balaram tells them that he would have stopped Krishna had he known about it, but Krishna is capable of defeating them all, provided he was willing to fight in the first place. π He tells them that he'd set off for Kundinpur right away w/ his army. π
Krishna arrives @ Kundinpur's borders, and Daruka tells him that it would be unwise to move beyond the borders w/o any troops. Krishna tells him that he's out to fight a battle for love, there are no borders for love π€ and so they'd continue. Krishna tells Daruka to proceed, as Rukmini is waiting for them. Daruka obeys. Krishna takes a leaf from a nearby tree and blows it, and it floats through the woods until it enters Rukmini's chamber and lands on her shoulder. She looks @ it and is relieved.
