Chat Clubs

Why do you guys have *invites only* threads?

This is a message board that can be read by the public aka anyone with internet access.

To create threads that say, "invite only" is just silly and makes no sense.

In real life, lets say you throw a party...you INVITE certain people...if you are not invited and want to attend this party... you would have to ask to be invited.

This is a Internet forum for the PUBLIC.

You guys need to separate the cyber world from the real world.

Another issue I had here.

I wrote "Hi" in one of the chats...one the users responded, "do I know you?"

-This is a Internet forum, 99% of the users do not know each other.  I didn't send you a friend request on facebook/orkut, it says "chat club" on a message board.

What is wrong with some of you people?  If you people know each other in real life and create "invite only" threads...you can do this through facebook, orkut, linked in and many other social networking sites.

This is a internet forum, NOT a social networking site.

This deserves its own thread.

No one is going to bother to respond.  I give up.
