NJ, didn't understand. Can you explain on what basic theme we should write?

You just have to write the story of a day. Such that all the events that take place in the story happen in the span of a single day. Hope that explains? Btw, it can be fictional or non fictional =)

Awesome post.. but here's something.
For everyone in the Southern Hemisphere, it's the coldest & the shortest of the year. ;)

So can I write a Winter story instead? :P
If not, it's all good.. Summer Interactions are fun. ;)

Hi!

Great contest! Will try to participate.

Just wanted to verify something though- is there any forbidden theme? I mean, are we free to chose anything- romance, horror, sci-fi, anything? Is there a 'no' to any theme?

Sure Sabiha, make it a winter day if that helps! (I did mention somewhere you might be in the other half, eh?! ) SO when I say longest day, I mean it more in the metaphorical sense. You know? How you come back one of those evenings and claim the day was so long, it seemed like it would never end?! The eventfully long kind! Winter is fine too - although I was trying to stick to summer, I wont make it mandatory =) Good luck with participation!

It's mentioned in the post hun- 20th June upto midnight, eastern time, which is same as 9:30AM IST.

There's no forbidden genre. However, that said, please make sure you adhere to IF rules in general, especially in the romantic genre.
