Gulaal returns home and flashbacks to Kesar's words about knowing that Dushyant killed Vasant and why she wants him to marry Talli. She goes to Mota Bha's room, he tells her that looking at her it seems as if she did not sleep the entire night, he asks her what happened. Gulaal tries to explain or evade the topic, Kesar comes there and tells him that he wants to talk to him about something important. Gulaal gets worried thinking that he will spill the beans about Vasant's death. She looks worried at Kesar. Kesar continues that he wants to tell Mota Bha about his decision, he wants to get married. Gulaal looks shocked, Kesar looks at her defiantly and then at Mota Bha, and says he wants to get married to Talli, Gulaal continues looking shocked, Kesar again looks at her coldly, but I see some pain in him. Mota Bha looks surprised and asks him whether he knows what he is saying, marriage is not a joke. Kesar laughs sarcastically and tells him that he knows that marriage is not a joke, and he looks right at Gulaal while saying this. He continues that he has reached that decision after a lot of thought, and he wants to marry Talli as soon as possible, he wants to forget everything and start a new life with Talli.
Gulaal hears this and smiles (I hate this, how can she smile, just because her fantasy world is coming to life she is smiling that Kesar has come around. Ugh). He looks hurtfully at Gulaal and smiles through his tears and turns around to leave. Mota Bhs is confused. Gulaal is clearly too blind to see Kesar's pain and happily calls out to Kesar, and expresses her happiness with his decision and his thought about Talli. Kesar tells her that she asked him to, how could he say no, whatever she says is right, it was her word so he had to listen, how could he refuse. Gulaal moves between confusion and happiness, but clearly she is trying to remain in denial about Kesar's true intention and pain. Gulaal says he did the right thing. Mota Bha asks Gulaal why Kesar took such a big decision so soon, Gulaal says he has taken it soon but the decision is right. Mota Bha asks her what she had come to tell him, she says that she wanted to discuss Talli and Kesar's marriage and since Kesar has said it she has nothing more to say.
Paan Baa and Sudha are making pickle, Talli is distracted. Sudha tries to console Talli, Gulaal comes there and says that Talli's happiness is in Gulaal's hands. Gulaal teases Talli a bit and then tells her that Kesar just told Mota Bha about his heart's desire. Gulaal then says that Kesar told Mota Bha that he wants to marry Talli soon. Sudha is crazy with happiness but Talli is confused. Sudha tells Gulaal that she knew this would happen one day since Gulaal promised her, Gulaal sees Talli's confused expression and tells her that all her dreams are going to get fulfilled, she should forget everything and grab all the happiness. Talli has tears in her eyes. Paan Baa hears this, sees Gulaal's happy face, but is unhappy with the decision.
Talli enters Kesar's room and sees him sitting on a chair, and asks him why he took the decision, if he is doing this out of pity for her or under pressure then not to do so, she heard his conversation that he doesn't want to marry her, so what happened suddenly. Kesar doesn't respond. She sees that Kesar is fast asleep. She thinks that she hopes something happens to make her believe that he really wants to marry her, and leaves.
Gulaal's mother returns home and her husband asks where she went. Mota Bha comes there, they are surprised to see him. Mota Bha tells them that their family situation is not good, he lost his older son and his younger son has gone out of hand, he doesn't have the strength to fight it, and on the other hand Gulaal's worry is eating at him. Gulaal's father says that there is no need to worry as long as Mota Bha is there, Mota Bha says what will happen after him, they cannot place the strength of Gulaal's future on a relationship that is itself unsteady. Gulaal decided to do deeyarvattu in a brisk of emotions and today Kesar doesn't even listen to her and neither does Gulaal give him importance.
Gulaal's mother loses it and asks him if he is trying to say that everything is Gulaal's fault, she made a mistake by marrying Kesar, did he forget why she did it, she did not want to leave his family and village which is why she took that step, she spent her whole life for his family and village, and now he is blaming her. Mota Bha says that he is not trying to say that it is Gulaal's fault, he will never forget what Gulaal has done. All he is trying to say that had she asked Mota Bha once before marrying Kesar they would not have to see this day. Kesar does not uphold the relationship and Gulaal has made another plan for Kesar, Gulaal wants Kesar to marry someone his own age.
Poonam Baa gets furious and says Gulaal wants and they agreed. She understands that Gulaal did not ask them before doing deeyarvattu so they could not stop her, but what about today, today she told them everything why can they not stop her. Mota Bha says that he spoke to Gulaal but she wants... Poonam Baa tells him to stop, the family is run by Gulaal's wants or their mind has changed, as long as Gulaal was useful to them it was fine, now Kesar is grown up and wants to marry someone his age and give her Gulaal's position in the family. She continues that 10 years back Gulaal, in her innocence, did deeyarvattu, today she is doing something else in her innocence so why can't they stop her, or they don't want to stop her, which is why he has come there to make a decision about Gulaal so that somehow the burden named Gulaal is off their chest, if so why do they pretend to care about Gulaal, the truth is that they never cared about Gulaal, they only cared about themselves, all these years Gulaal kept toiling away for them without paying heed to her own dreams and desires, she kept sharing with everyone all these years and did not realize when her own reservoir became empty. Mota Bha nods his head in agreement.
Paan Baa and Gulaal are cooking. Gulaal expresses happiness at Kesar's marrying Talli. Paan Baa asks if Kesar himself said this, Gulaal says yes. Paan Baa tells her that she never looked at Talli that way or thought of making her a daughter-in-law. Gulaal tells her that Talli loves everyone, has grown up in the family and knows their ways of living, she loves Kesar, what more do they need, if a stranger comes as Kesar's wife how will they deal with it. Kesar passes by and Paan Baa calls him. Paan Baa tells him that he took such a big decision without asking or telling Paan Baa. Kesar looks at Gulaal, Gulaal cannot meet his eyes and looks away. (Clearly Gulaal knows that something is wrong about this decision which is why she is avoiding Kesar and her happiness feels hollow, yet she will continue to live in her fantasy world / comfort zone. I am so annoyed with her). Paan Baa tells him that the decision will be his. Talli comes there and starts overhearing.
Paan Baa continues that it is not about 2-3 months, it is about his entire life. Kesar says that who has seen the whole life, he has stopped thinking about the past and future. Gulaal looks at him on hearing this. Kesar continues that who has seen tomorrow, which is why he has decided that he will live not tomorrow but today, and his today makes sense that he should marry Talli. Talli hears this and feels happy (the girl's brain is full of grass). Gulaal has no expression but tries to avoid his eyes, as if realizing that somehow Kesar is not doing this for the right reasons, but of course the martyr will continue to remain in denial because regardless of his intentions according to her his decision is correct. Kesar looks at Gulaal and asks if he is right, Gulaal says yes hesitatingly, Kesar tells Paan Baa that see Gulaal also agrees, now she should get ready to get him married. Paan Baa smiles, Kesar smiles as well and sees Talli listening in happily, his smile fades when he looks at Gulaal who cannot meet his eyes and looks uncomfortable. Kesar glares at Gulaal and thinks to himself that Gulaal has started this game but Kesar will finish it.
Precap: Jamna says angrily that in front of the whole village Gulaal did deeyarvattu with Kesar, how can he marry another girl, this marriage cannot happen, never ever. Gulaal looks confused, Sudha looks hurt. (Time for a reality check for everyone. Mota Bha has become nothing but a puppet in Gulaal's hands. I feel bad for Talli who is caught in between, but I lay that blame entirely on Gulaal's shoulders. What is Kesar to do? She does not accept his love or see him as her husband, he might as well take a drastic step. If Talli had an ounce of intelligence she would look beyond and try to understand the situation better, but all she can think of is Kesar marrying her regardless of whether he loves someone else or doesn't like her).
