At Dawn

...In Durdhara's room Kalyani and Subhadra  were sitting tensed and were praying to God that Chandragupta returns by curing Durdhara back..Shashank declared that Durdhara is sleeping and none should disturb her..and he in guest house is waiting with his friends for Chandragupta's return..Dakshita went to Maya and Chitra to make them aware of the situation..Chitra got unhappy...

Chitra : kintu Chandragupt ne aisa kyun kiya??aur tum logone use aisa karne kaise diya??

Dakshita : iske atirikt rajkumari k jeevan bachane ka koi aur upay nahin tha Chitra

Chitra : kintu yadi Chandragupt ko kuch ho gaya to??rakumari k liye use apne pran sankat mein dalne k avashyakta kya  tha??

Dakshita : Chitra sabkuch gyat hone k paschad bhi tum yeh keh rahe ho?? mat bhulo k ye wahi rajkumari hai jo tumhare raksha k liye apne pran sankat mein dale the...

Maya : hamein to ab bhi biswas nahin ho raha hai..pratiyogita mein bhrata k sath yudh karne wali yodha Rajkumari Durdhara thi..vo satya mein hi veerangana hai..

Chitra : hamein is samay keval Chandragupt ki chinta hai..bas vo shighratishighra laut aye..

Dakshita : prarthana karte hain k Maharaj aur yuvraj ko kuch bhi gyat hone se purv hi vo laut aye.anyatha anarth ho jayega...

Chitra : chalo sab milke prarthana karte hai

      after hours of running in mountainous ways at last Chandragupta reached near his destination..but Rangini was unable to cross the rest of the path as it was too high, narrow and slippery for a horse to run..so Chandragupt had to come down from Rangini's back..and he tied Durdhara with himself tightly..and started climbing up carrying Durdhara on his back..till date he never faced such a situation..carrying heave weight ..even heavier than own body weight is part of a warrior's training..and Chandragupt also had to carry his unconscious friend and companions ..but for first time he is carrying a girl..or rather can be said a grown up girl..the intimate existence of a girl's only few inches shorter than him and who had kept her 1st step towards womanhood created some strange feelings of embarrassment and awkwardness even in this situation of life and death..
          with every passing moment Durdhara seems heavier to Chandragupt..and he started to feel more and more difficulties as his feet started slipping..now where he has reached there is no ways only sharp rocks..whose edge hurted his feet and palms and it started shedding bloods..but determined Chandragupta didn't care to his pain..his only goal was to reach to the tree before Sunrise..he kept climbing up remembering his acharya...suddenly his feet slipped ..and he started falling from the hill..he grabbed a rock..but the knot of the cloth with which he tied Durdhara with himself suddenly got torn and Durdhara's was about fall but Chandragupt grabbed her in one hand and with other hand he held the rock..all his energy seemed to have gone..he was also in verge of losing sense..and then only a voice was heard...

                utho Chandragupt..tum itni shighra parajay sweekar nahin kar sakte...
bhag mat kar prayas..kar prayas bhag mat...

as if from aother world of consciousness acharya's voice reached to Chandragupta's years and he opens his eyes..with all effort he managed to clutch Durdhara gain..and tied her with him..and started climbing up...
                    when he reached to the peak the eastern sky started turning red ..Chandragupta feels he has no time to lose..he hurriedly located the flowers as described by Shashank which was just started to blossom ..Chandragupt keeps Durdhara under the tree..on the peak the mountain had some wide place..so there was not any fear to fall any more..then Chandragupt climbed up the tree and took the flowers ..then he came near to Durdhara and with intense fierce he noticed Durdhara's body started becoming cold..and her breath has gone more slower..without wasting time he took her head on his arm..and opened her lips slightly .ad pressed the flower on her lips..and poured the honey from the flower  i her mouthdrop by drop the ..Chandragupt then started rubbing Durdhara's hands..

Chandragupt : Rajkumari ankhein kholiye rajkumari...

he started becoming impatient seeing no result ..he took out his knife..

Chandragupt : yadi Durdhara k murcha bhang na huye to unke mrityu k mulya hum apne rakt se chukayenge...

he clutched Durdhara ightly so that Durdhara could get the warmth.The Sun rises and the flowers got dried.but still there was no response in her unconscious body...Chandragupt lost his all hope.

Chandragupt : acharya hamein kshama karna..hum aapka sapna pura karne mein asamarth rahein..

and he brought the knife to stab himself...and only then the ray of the morning Sun reached to them with a new ray of hope..Chandragupt felt Durdhara's warm breath..he saw her closed eyes started moving...

Chandragupt (with all his hope and effort) : Durdhara

In The Palace Guesthouse


Shashank and other friends spent a sleepless night praying to the God for Chandragupta and Durdhara's safety...

Sukant : prabhat ho chuka hai...pata nhi Chandragupt ne apna karya kar paya ya nahin??

Ghanghor : chinta to is baat k ho raha hai k Digvijay raj mandir mein yaggya samapt karke Rajvaidya ko lene gaya hai..vo kisi bhi samay pohuchtahi hoga..tab hum kya karenge??

Aditya : aur yadi Chandragupta rajvaidya k ane se purv rajkumari ko leke nahin lauta to anarth ho jayega..

Airavat : aur jab Digvijay ko ye gyat hoga k hum sab Chandragupt ka sahayata kiya to vo hum sab ko nahin chodega..

Shashank : hum to bas yeh prarthana karte hain k rajkumari thik ho..Digvijayne hum pr viswas karke Rajkumari k chikitsa k dayitta saupa tha ..yadi Chandragupt apne karya mein safal na hua to hum Digvijay ka samna nahin kar payenge...

...kis karya mein safalta prapti k charcha ho raha hai???...

all the boys got stunned to see the person who asked the question..they din't notice when Ambhik entered into the room...they literally got frightened whether Ambhik listened to all their words... they couldn't understand what to say..

Ambhik : mujhe dekhke aisa ascharya chakit kyun ho gaye??kahin koi shadyantra to nahin ho raha tha??aur tumhare neta vo tuchha vanvasi kahan gaya..kahin dikhai nahin de raha hai..

Shashank : tumhe Chandragupt k itna chinta kabse hone laga??

Ambhik : murkh hamein chinta us tuchha vanvasi ka nahin us pr viswas karne wale logo ka hai..kintu tum yahan kya kar rahe ho??tumhe to rajkumari k nikat hona chahiye..unke chikitsak jo ho..

Akshay : Shashank  rajkumari k nikat kaise rahenge vo to yahin nahin hai..aaahhh

Aditya pressed Akshay's foot with that of his to stop him...

Ambhik : kya kaha Akshay ?? kaun yahan nahin hai???

Shashank : uska kehne ka arth ye hai k rajkumari apne chetna mein nahin hai..vo nidrit hai aur unke nidrabhang hone tak hum unke nikat nahin ja sakte...

Ambhik (doubtful voice) : acha Akshay keval yahi keh raha tha???

Sukant : aur nahin to kya?? tum saralta se kabhi chinta kyun nahin kar sakte???

Ghanghor : yadi tumhare prashnaparv samapt ho gaye to kya kripaya hamein akele chor sakte ho??

Ambhik gave an angry gaze to all of them and left that place..as soon as he leaves everyone burst on Akshay..

Aditya : Akshay jab kuvch bolne ka samajh na hoto chup rehne mein kya samasya hai???

Airavat : aaj yadi tere karan Ambhik ko sandeh ho gaye aur use satya ka gyan ho gaye to???

Sukant : yadi aisa hua to hum Akshay ka tyag kar denge..

Akshay started crying...

Shashank (impatiently) : bas bhi karo tum sab..ab hum rajkumari k mahal jake sabko satark krte hai..hamein viswas hai Ambhik rajkumari k mahal avashya jayega...

and he left...


In Durdhara's Mahal

Ambhik and Shashank almost at the same time reached to Durdhara's mahal..

Shashank : Ambhik tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?? gyat nahin kya rajkumari k mahal mein purushon k pravesh nishedh hai??

Ambhik : hum to jante hai kintu kadachit tum bhul chuke ho..ke apne mitra us vanvasi k sahayata karke tum sab ne kitne bada sankat ko amantrit kiya..

Shashank : arthat??

Ambhik : hamein nirbudhhi samjha hai k Akshay k baton ka arth hum samajh nahin payenge??ab hamre sammukh se hat jao aur dekhne do Rajkumari apne kaksha mein hain ya nahin

Shashank : tum aise rajkumari k kaksha mein pravesh nahin kar sakte

Ambhik : avashya kar sakte hain..karan yahan sab jante hain k rajkumari aur hamara vivah hone wala hai...ab hat jao hamare samne se...

   he pushed Shashank  and knocked the closed door ...Shashank tried to stop him but the door got opened ...and Subhadra comes out...

Ambhik : kahan hai rajkumari??

Subhadra : vo ab nidrit hai..aap unse nahin mil sakte..

Ambhik : avashya mil sakte hai..hamein janne ka adhikar hai rajkumari k sath kya ho raha hai..and he entered into the room..and goes near the bed and found princess sleeping with her back towards them..

Shashank : kya hua ab to dekh liya na rajkumari yahin hai aur nidrit hai..ab kripaya jao yahanse..

Ambhik was really confused..because the girl sleeping on the bed was looking as only princess Durdhara..but her face was not clear due to lack of light in the room

Ambhik : hamein rajkumari k chehra dekhna hai..

Subhadra : Gandhar naresh Ambhik..aap apne seema ka ullanghan kar rahe hai..rajkumari k kaksha mein pita aur bhrata k atirikt keval chikitsak pravesh kar sakte..phir bhi aapke samman karte huye aapko pravesh k anumati diya gaya hain.. nidrit rajkumari k chehra darshan karna ek raja k liye ashobhaniya hain..kripaya smaran rakhein...

Shashank : dekho Ambhik tumhara jid tumne nivaya ..ab hamein chikitsak dayitta k palan karne do..hum tumherajkumari k nidra mein byaghat utpann nahin karne denge..aur tum jante ho tumhare ye acharan  nato maharaj Abhisar aur nahi yuvraj Digvijay ko sweekar hoga..to apne rajpad k samman karte huye yahan se chale jao..

suddenly Ambhik's gaze fell on the legs of sleeping princess..and a mysterious smile was seen on his lips...

Ambhik : kaun apne maryada ullanghan kar rahe hain vo to ab shighra hi gyat ho jayega..

and he leaves...Shashank closed the door...

Shashank : Subhadra rajkumari Durdhara k vastra aur abhushan paridhan karke ye kaun unke shajya pr shayit hai??

before Subhadra could answer..the girl woke up

"hum hain"

Shashank : rajkumari Kalyani aap???

Kalyani : jaise hi Ambhik k ane k suchna mila hum rajkumari Durdhara k chadmavesh grahan kar li..Gadhar naresh ko sandeh to nahin hua na??

Subhadra : sayad nahin..kintu aise adhik samay tak hum satya ko gopan nahin rakhsakte...

Kalyani : chalo prarthana karte hain k Chandragupt Durdhara ko leke shghra laut aye..

they closed their eyes and started prayer to God..


Hindukush

after coming into sense Durdhara at first couldn't realize what exactly happened to her happened to her..she thought why her room is flooded with Sun Rays ..which she had never seen before..she tried to call Subhadra to draw the curtain of window..but her voice was chocked..then she saw two big , curious innocent eyes bending on his face..it can't be of Subhadra's...and then she realized that the place where she is lying not soft as her bed but hard as rock..gradually she could remember about the incidents of the days before she lost her sense...and at last she realized she is alive and she is at a non familiar open place.

"Durdhara tum thik ho??"

the voice made it clear whose eyes were watching her...the all reason of her problems..Chandragupta...Durdhara tried to sit but her head turned round and she had to lye again..and much of her embarrassment she discovered she is sleeping on Chandragupta's lap...

"sambhalke rajkumari tum abhi durbal ho"

at last Duradhara gained energy to talk...

"yeh kaunsi sthan hai?? "

Chandragupt : yeh Hindukush parvat hai Durdhara...

Durdhara at last succeed to sit up ..Chandragupttried to help her...but she removed his hand...

Durdhara : Hindukush parvat?? ye to rajdhani se baht dur hai..hum yahan kya kar rahe hai??? aur woh bhi tumhare sath?? Subhadra aur hamare sare rakshiyan kahan hai??

she tried to stand up but couldn't succeed..again Chandragupt held her...

Durdhara : hath mat lagana hamein...hamare prashna ke uttar do..aise veeranein sthan pr tum hamein kyun leke aye??

Chandragupt  : hum tumhare sare prashna ka uttar denge..kintu tum kuch samay vishram to kar lo..tab tak hum apne baki karya samapt kar lete hai...

Durdhara : hum ek kshan bhi yahan nahin rukenge...hum abhi is samay rajmahal jayenge aur hamein yahan lane k duhsahas karne k liye tumhare dand ka vyavastha karenge...

she tried to walk but her feet couldn't bear her weight and she lost balance ans was about to fall when Chandragupt held her tightly ...

Chandragupt : is samay ek kadam chalne ke bhi kshamta nahin hain tumme...Rajmahal chalna to baht dur ki baat hai...

he made her sit under the sanjibani tree...

Durdhara : akher tum hamein yahan laye hi kyun??

Chandragupt : kyunki tumhare pran raksha karne ka yehi ek marg tha..ye sanjibani pusp ...

Dudhara : sanjivani pusp..pran raksha ye sab tum kya keh rahe ho hamein kuch samajh mein nahin a raha hai...

Chandragupt : krodh k atirikt tumhare mastishk k kuch aur vishay k liye sthan bacha ho to samjhogi na...aur hum jante hai dhairya se tumhara koi sambandh nahin kintu kuch samay tak tumhe pratiksha to karnahi padega.tum chaho aur na chaho..

Chandragupt walked towards other trees and kept collecting the flowers that Shashank described..Durdhara again tried to stand up but she couldn't..she kept observing Chandragupta's activities with all her queries ...

after a while Chandragupt came to her with some flowers and some honey..he offered the honey to Durdhara

Chandragupt : ye madhu pan kar lo..tumhe shakti milenge..

Durdhara : hum tumhare hath se amrit bhi grahan nahin karenge..

Chandragupt : thik hai tumhare ichha...kintu phir tum pure din bhar chl nhi paogi...chesta karke dekh lo..

Durdhara tried to walk and again fell down

Chandragupt : hum pr viswas nahin kamse kam apne sharirik dasha pr to viswas karo..pan kar lo ye madhu...krodh k sath bal na ho to kroth ka koi arth nahin hai..

Durdhara : yadi ye vish hua to??

Chandragupt (in mind) : ye lo apne pran sankat mein dalke iska pran bachaya aur ab ise lagta hai k hum iske pran haran karna chahte hai..ye Rajkanya satya mein unmad hai...

(to Durdhara) : acha ye sandeh bhi dur kar dete hai..he drinks few drop of the honey...ho gaya viswas??ab to kripaya ise pan kar lo

Durdhara relactantly drank the honey ..and surprisingly she started feeling better...

Durdhara : hamne man li tumhari baat..ab to uttar do hamare prashna ki...

Chandragupt : achha to suno...


In Rajpur

Digvijay on the capital's gate was waiting for Rajvaid to reach and suddenly he heard his name..and looked back and saw Ambhik was calling him

Ambhik : Digvijay..shighra rajmahal chalo..

Digvijay : hum rajvaid ko leke ate hai..

Ambhik : itna samay nahin hai tumhare pass

Digvijay (frightened)  : kyun kya hua?? Durdhara thik to hai??

Ambhik : tum swayam chalke dekh lo...

Digvijay ran towards the palace..Ambhik smiles and followed him...


In Durdhara's Mahal

like a storm Digvijay entered into Durdhara's room...Subhadra was so shocked that she couldn't say anything...

Digvijay : Durdhara ko kya hua??

Subhadra : kuch bhi..kuch bh to nahin yuvraj..vo nidrit hai..

Digvijay : hamein usse milna hai...

Subhadra : kintu...unke nidra mein byaghat karna anuchit hoga...

Digvijay got confused what to do..

aur bhrata ko bhagini se milne se badha dena anuchit nahin hai???

Digvijay turned to Ambhik...

Digvijay : Ambhik ye sab kya hai?? kyun hamein yahan ane k liye kaha yadi Durdhara nidrit hai to??

Ambhik : iska uttar tumhe hum nahin Durdhara denge..jao aur milo usse

Subhadra : nahin yuvraj vo abhi so rahi hai...

Subhadra's frightened voice created doubt in Digvijay's mind..he stepped towards the bed

Digvijay : Dhara..Dhara...

but there is no response...impatient Digvijay tried to remove the cover of her face..Subhadra tried to stop him and Kalyani also forced to keep her cover

Digvijay : Dhara yeh kya kar rahi ho..apne bhrata ko apna chehra kyun nahin dikha rahi ho??

Ambhik : kyunki yeh chuni k piche ka chehra tumhare bhgini Durdhara k nahin hai..

Digvijay : arthat??

Ambhik : swayam hi dekh lo..

Digvijay forcibly removed the cover and then just got speechless to see Kalyani in the place of Durdhara..he bluntly looked at Subhadra and Kalyani but both of them kept standing with benting head..his brain stopped working for some moments to see no trace of Durdhara in the room..Ambhik smiled out of satisfaction

Ambhik : Durdhara k vastro se apne aap ko to chupa liya rajkumari Kalyani kintu apne payel ko humare ankh se chupana bhul gayi...

Kalyani nervously looked at her anklets...she forgot to take them off...

after listening to each and every incident after she became unconscious Durdhara kept quiet for a while..

Chandragupt : kya hua Durdhara..tum chup kyun ho gayi???

Durdhara : bas soch rahi hun k tum hamein to pasand nahin karte ho..to phir hamare pran o k raksha k liye apne pran sankat mein kyun sdala??

Chandragupt : pasand to tum bhi hamein nahin karte ho..phir bhi hamare ma ke akhri nishani ko bachane k liye ..apne pran sankat mein kyun dale the??

Durdhara : ohh to usika rin parishodh kiya tumne??

Chandragupt : rin to avashya parishodh kiya kintu tumhara nahin apne yodhri dharam ka..thik usi tarah jis tarah tumne apne yodhri dharam ka raksha kiya tha...

Durdhara : chahe jitna bhi uddand kyun na ho tum manna padega ke tum ek prakrit yodha ho..ab to hamein bhi viswas ho gaya k akhand bharat k sapna pura karne k yogyata keval tumme hi hai

Chandragupt : hum bhi jan gaye ke tum unmad to ho kintu dusro ko hani pohuchane k liye nahin..apne aapko hani pohuchake sabke upkar karne k liye..

Durdhara : rajmahal mein sab chinta kar rahe honge na??pitashree , mata aur bhrata ko to kuch gyat bhi nahin..

Chandragupt : han unse anumati lene ka samay nahin tha hamare pass..

Durdhara : tab to hamein shighra pohuchna hoga..kintu hum baht hi parishrant bodh kar rahe hainn..

Chandragupt : chinta mat karo..tum kuch samay vishram kar lo..hum suryast ke purv hi pohuch jayenge...

with Chandragupt's assurance Durdhara agreed to take rest for a while..she placed her head on Chandragupt's shoulder and lost in sleep...Chandragupt felt very much embarrassed..because the beautifull smell made him benumbed again..but he couldn't move as Durdhara's much needed sleep would be disturbed then...he looked at Durdhara's innocently beautiful face ..and for the first time an unnatural feeling comes to his mind...beauty what people says does it look like her??his face unknowingly gets more closer to Dhara..and his warm breath made her wake up..

Durdhara (confusingly) : kya hua?? kuch kehna chahte ho??

Chandragupt : nahin bas vo..tum thik ho??

Durdhara : han purv se swastha bodh kar rahi hun...

Chandragupt : to aur vilamb karne k avashyakta nahin hai..chalo chalte hai...

Durdhara : han chalo..

both of them climbed down from the peak...where Chandragupt tied Rangini with trees..but they couldn't find the horses

Durdhara : Chandragupt Rangini kahan hai??tumne to kaha tha k use yahin choda tha??

Chandragupt : han kintu vo kahan chali gayi??

Durdhara : ab hum samay pr mahal kaise pohuchenge??

and only then some soldiers surrounded them..and both of them noticed with surprise that ..their attire says they are not from the soil of India...

Durdhara : Yavan ??????

Chandragupt : Sikandar ka sena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
