Slowly with the passing of a year, Gopi had actually become literate in both English and Hindi. Since she knew how to speak Hindi, learning how to read and write was easier in Hindi. As a matter of fact, she learnt reading and writing Hindi in just two months. Sister Maggie had her fully immersed in language and sciences. Seeing Gopi's rapid progress, Sister Maggie was able to get Gopi to clear the 3rd grade in just one year. Along with becoming literate, Gopi had begun to get street smart as well. She had begun to realize that the intentions of Rashi and Urmila when she was in MM, but she then usually turned a blind eye to it. Probably it was due to feeling gratitude towards her Mama who sheltered her. However, she slowly realized that being gratuitous did not mean that she should allow to be treated in the manner that she was. She had already done her fair share of being used as a voiceless maid and scapegoat by the mother-daughter duo of Urmi mami ji and Rashi Ben. This change however had not come easily. Sister Maggie had instilled slowly in Gopi a sense of pride, never to let anyone trample of one's dignity and to stand up for what was wrong. Gopi too being given the freedom to do as she pleases began to understand that she also is a human being.
Passing time with Sumit Bhaiya the caretaker godson of Sister Maggie, Gopi began to also understand the effects of herbs. Sumit himself had knowledge of ayurvedic medicine, and he was more than pleased to pass on the knowledge to his eager student Gopi. Gopi with her knowledge of home remedies began to implement the information she shared with Sumit. She came up with a brilliant idea and spoke to Sister Maggie about it. Sister Maggie encouraged her, but told her to first experiment a little. By this time in the span of 3 years, Gopi had finished the 8th grade. Sister Maggie knew from the proposition that Gopi had brought forth that it could emerge as a very successful idea, but that idea needed to be marketed properly. Hence, the need of Gopi successfully finishing high school was necessary.
There were times when Gopi would feel alone. She would reminisce about her failed marriage, and her legal husband. Yes, that is what she had reduced him to. He was merely husband in name. Getting educated had helped Gopi see the world for what it was. She had removed Ahem from the pedestal of being a God. He had erred, so how could he be considered a God? He too could have tried to help her, but he never did. Rather he verbally abused her whenever he could. She knew that she could not blame Ahem completely as at times he too was the victim of circumstances that were created by her dearest cousin Rashiben. Gopi wiped her tears away, and firmed her resolve to get justice for herself. It was not like Gopi had no soft corner for any one. She understood her saas Kokila. Kokila was the only one whom she truly respected. She knew the things that Kokila had tried to do to help her, but the gap between Ahem and Gopi was too big to be bridged by simple efforts.
Meanwhile things in MM were dull without the presence of Gopi Vau. Everyone seemed just as if life was stuck out of them. Urmila tried her kalakaris along with rashi, but they were not the same as this time they did not have a scapegoat like Gopi. If Urmila even tried to do something to Kinjal, then chhoti kagdi would get back at her with double the vengeance. Rashi's shopping and beauty parlor trips had also become nillable as she always was caught up with housework. Her married life with Jigar was still at the pace it had been 3 years ago. Jigar too had given up on Rashi after trying so hard to please her.

Six years had passed, yet for MM it seemed as if time stood still. The business was not soaring as Chirag and Ahem had hoped for it. Kokila felt it was the fruit of all the injustices done to Gopi.
Kokila rarely spoke, and Hetal tried her level best to bring some laughter in MM which seemed filled with grimness.
It was the departure anniversary of Gopi from MM, and like the other years, Kokila had set up a special puja for the well being of her Gopi vau from whom she had never heard since. Kinjal's family had also been invited to the puja. All the Modi family members except Ahem were present. Kokila never bothered to even inform Ahem about it, as what was the purpose? He never cared for Gopi when she was residing at MM, then why would he give a damn about a puja that was held for her.
After the puja was over, Urmila and Rashi were discussing the latest beauty products.
Rashi: Mummy, there is a new line of natural cosmetics out. It's called Gia Modiana Collection or GMC for short.
Urmila: Achha haan dikra. That chhoti kagdi spent all the money on getting those cosmetics. But sachhi boloon. uss shampoo se mere baal bhi itne soft ho gaye.
Rashi: Haan sahi mein mummy. Your hair is so silky now! I bought a face wash, and it smelt so good.
Urmila: True dikra, you can afford it, but not me. It's just so expensive. Why don't you get me some?
Rashi who looked a little baffled by this sudden outright shameless demand was brought back to reality by Kokila telling her to ensure that the Prasad was distributed amongst every one, and sent to the neighbors as well.
Ahem happened to come home unexpected, as he had left something at home. He was caught by surprise about the puja. Hetal seeing Koki's indifference, informed Ahem about it.
Ahem after eating the Prasad and collecting his files went off for work. While he drove, he remembered how MM used to be like when Gopi was there. He did regret his mistakes, but then his ego would take over, and he would dismiss it. He could not come to terms that he had acted as a brute.
Parag silently witnessed the cold war that had been going on for six years between his wife and son. He called up his lawyer and decided to do something about this for once.

The Modi lawyer had come with the suggestion to file for divorce on the basis of Gopi's absence. At first, all the Modi elders except for Koki were against it. She had just given up on Ahem as he had broken her heart so badly.Ahem just listened to everything with a stone look on his face. He was unable to comprehend what to do. Yes, I do not want that ganwaar, but why is it bothering me so much. Why do I not feel like wanting this.
Rashi on the other hand was full of glee, and shared the news as soon as she could with Urmila who also was estatic about it. Kinjal when hearing the news from Urmila just gave her condensing look as Urmila had a hard time to even say divorce properly. Instead she called it "Dieeevurshei".In the meanwhile, Gopi who had successfully finished her secondary schooling was in London getting trained in cosmetics. She was finishing up her training, and had successfully launched her very own business. Sister Maggie's influence in London helped her catch the eye of noted socialites who catapulted Gopi to new levels of success.
Sometimes Gopi would reflect upon her past, and how God made her reach her true potential. She had changed, but from the outside only. She wore green contacts, modern western dresses that were not too short, high heels, makeup, curly locks, spoke English with a British accent and always carried sunglasses with her. However, from the inside, she was still the same devout of Kanha who had a heart of gold. She had learnt many lessons in life, and one of them while she was starting her own business was to never show your true self to the world. The more hidden you keep your true self, the farther you will advance.
Soon the year passed by, and by this time GMC became a luxury household name. Its popularity was parallel to Shahnaz Hussain's line of cosmetics. GMC would be opening its first set of boutiques in six places in India; Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta, Bangalore, and Rajkot.
Gopi too was ready to come to India after having spent so much time abroad. She grabbed her prada purse took Sister Maggie's hand, and smiled at Sumit Bhaiya before she went off to board her flight.
Meanwhile at MM, everyone was discussing the issue of the divorce papers. Right then there was a strong gush of wind while knocked the divorce papers from the table to near the Modi's temple area. Suddenly a loud cry was heard at the door: Alaakh Niranjan.
