M&G'Lambi Judaai'Part 20
As soon as geet got home she ran to her room, locked the door and fell down crying her eyes out. As much she told herself and others that she was happy deep down she was breaking down, she felt as if her soul had been ripped apart from her.
Mohinder noticed all the way home from the airport geet sat quietly as if she had no life left in her, he really couldn't meet eyes with her anymore. When he saw geet lock herself in her room he knew that geet couldn't hold in her sorrow anymore so he decided not to bother her and told Rano the same.
Even Rano was worried now, she could tell that geet was not happy about maan going to London, she thought of course she would be unhappy as her best friend was leaving her, she was bound to feel upset, but she didn't understand the depth of the situation then, but now seeing geet locking herself in her room and crying so much, she started to sense there was more to what she thought. She wanted to go and comfort her child she couldn't see her breaking like this but mohinder clearly told her not to, saying she needed time by herself and that she would be fine by the morning.
Geet opened the door sometime in the night to go outside and get some fresh air, she felt suffocated in her room, as if she was slowly getting closed in.
When she got outside in the garden she felt a little better but the pain she was going through was still there and she knew that wouldn't go until she saw her maan. She sat down on the swing and thought about the sweet memories she had with maan.

Flash back: 1 year ago
It was quite late at night but neither could Maan sleep nor geet, so geet decided to call up maan and see if he was awake, to her luck maan picked up the phone in the first few bells
Maan: hello... geet?
Geet: hi, sorry maine tumhe disturb toh nahi kiya?
Maan: nahi, actually mujhe toh neendh hi nahi aarahi
Geet: acha? Mujhe bhi nahi, toh socha tumhe phone kar leti hoon
Maan: acha kiya, waise pata nahi kyun mann nahi kar raha sone ka
Geet: haan, aise karte hain kai kahin chalte hai. Walk par?
Maan: kya?! Tumhara dimagh toh teekh hai na, itne raat gaye tumhe walk ki soojh rahi hai
Geet: kya maan, tum bhi kitne boring ho chalte hai na maza aaye ga, ya phir tum dar gaaye?
Geet knew maans weakness; he would never refuse a challenge.
Maan: tum mujhe challenge deh rahi ho, Maan Singh Khurana ko?
Geet: aise hi samajh lo
Maan: toh teekh hai, abhi 5 minutes main mujhe neeche apne ghar saamne milo
Geet: kya 5 mins main?!, itne jaldi main kaise tyaar hoon gi?
Maan: oh god, tum larkiyaan bhi na, hello miss geet hum walk par jaa rahe hain kisi party par nahi
Geet: haan haan pata hai. Ok I'll meet you in five minutes.
Maan: ok see you.
With that geet and maan disconnected the call and got up to meet each other.
Geet tiptoed down the stairs and made extra care that she made no noise what so ever otherwise she would be in big trouble. Geet opened the door and went outside to find maan pacing up and down the side walk.
Maan: uff, what took you so long?
Geet: woh I couldn't decide what to wear
Geet looked at him with a baby face while maan just rolled his eyes.
Maan: geet tum bilkul pagal ho
Geet and maan started walking down the street, talking well mostly geet talking and maan listening, then suddenly something caught geets eyes it was a gol gappa stall.
Geet: MAAN! Woh dekho!
Maan got startled by geet's shout and feared something bad was there, and worriedly started looking here and there.
Maan: kya hua geet? Why are you shouting?
Geet: uff ho maan wahan dekho, gol gappe, chaliye mujhe khane hain
Maan: geet iss liye tum chilaa rahi thi, god I thought it was something serious
Geet: maan it is serious, I want to eat gol gappe
Maan: are you crazy? So you really think im going to let you eat that kind of stuff, pata nahi saaf hai bhi ya nahi.
Maan looked at the stall with disgust.
Geet sternly this time said: maan main sach keh rahi hoon agar tumne mujhe woh nahi khilaaye toh'toh main chilaaongi
Maan: oh really, go on then
Geet looked at maan for a second and then started screaming really loudly, maan didn't really expect geet to actually scream he looked around luckily there weren't many people but still the ones that were present were giving him weird looks.
Maan put his hand over geet's mouth to stop her from screaming.
Maan: chup bilkul chup
Geet looked at maan and got lost in maans deep brown eyes, she didn't know why but she would always loose herself to maan and this was one of her biggest weakness. When maan covered her mouth geet felt a current go through her by the contact his hands made with her lips, somewhere it was tempting her to kiss his hand, but she controlled herself from that urge knowing that maan probably didn't feel the same towards her. She snapped out of her thoughts as she remembered she wanted to eat gol gappe and she was obstinate on that decision.
Maan: tum pagal ho gaaye ho, log kya sochein gaye
Geet: mmm'mmm
Maan: kya?
Maan looked down to where her eyes were leading him, and realized he was still covering her mouth, he immediately let go allowing her to speak.
Geet: uff kya hai maan, main kaise boloongi agar tum aise mere muh par haath rakhe baithe rahoge.
Maan: sorry, I forgot
Geet: anyways, about me screaming, toh main woh phir kar sakti hoon agar tumne mujhe gol gappe nahi khilaaye
Maan knew she wasn't going to listen to him as he knew how stubborn geet could be so he reluctantly agreed.
Maan: fine, tum toh apni baat mava ki rahogi ofcourse
Geet jumped with happiness, she just loved gol gappe and she wouldn't listen to anyone when it came to eating them
Geet dragged him to the stall and asked the man standing there to make to plates of yummy spicy gol gappe, geets mouth was just watering seeing them.
Maan: nahi geet I don't want to eat any gol gappe
Geet: maan, you have to eat warna main tumhare muh main toos doongi, and dont take my words lightly
The man prepared the gol gappe and handed the two plates to geet.
Geet: yeh lijiye
Maan: geet im serious I don't want it
Geet: fine
Maan was shocked hearing geet give up so easily, but on one hand he was glad she did otherwise he would have end up having some 'road side stuff'.
Obviously geet wasn't going to give uo that easily so decided she was going to have to stuff the gol gappe in his mouth.
When maan least expected I geet brought the gol gappa toward maans mouth and stepped on his foot making maan open his mouth and geet took the chance and stuffed gol gappa in maans mouth.
Maan did not expect geet to do such, he was so angry with her act, he could eat her alive right now.
Geet saw maans anger filled eyes and made a run for it, with maan running behind him. Geet was running towards her house with maan chasing after her.

Geet was smiling thinking about how much fun they had that night, then thinking maan was here no more made tears brim out of geet's eyes endlessly making her break down again.
Then all of a sudden it started to rain, geet sat there in the rain as her tears mixed with the rain and soon it was hard to differentiate the tears from the rain.
Geet looked up at the sky and cried: kyun babaji, kyun? Kyun mujhe maan se door kar diya aapne? jab aap jaante the kai main maan se pyaar karti hoon, jab aap jaante the kai main maan kai bina nahi reh sakti, kyun ki apne hamari itni lambi judaai? KYUN?
Geet was now crying bitterly, tears were nowhere near ending.
In the distance stood someone observing all this, and was shocked with what they heard from geets mouth.
