One of the vows of marriage is "Taking the responsibilty for safeguarding all the members of the family - youngest to the oldest member in the family."

Radhika for tweleve long years has firmly believed in her marriage and waited for KK to return and accept his bride. Dev on the other hand tries to dismiss the act as child's play. His DG was perfect, but to him Radhika was selfish because he thought, she tried to cause anguish and pain to his family for her gain. But slowly, he is able to see the "real" Radhika - the Radhika - the wife who can challenge her husband when he tries to stop her from doing puja/vrat, the Radhika - daughter-in-law who is concerned for Dadaji and prays from well being of the family and who is ready to do 100 pere in temple  and who hides bad behavior of  her MIL from her father and finally Radhika - the daughter - who has such beautiful relationship with her father(confides everything in him) and finally Radhika - the orphan - who has been ill- treated by her mother.

When Radhika has come for PagPhere, her mother is demanding money from her and Radhika does not want to part with her jewellery because the jewellery technically does not belong to her. Dev has heard the conversation and sees the "real" Radhika and will realize how wrong he  was about her and how she is a mirror image of him. Both have been made to realize that they are orphans and how they have obligation towards their families as return for the care that has been provided to them.

Now, slowly the difficulties faced by Radhika and also the "real" Radhika is cooming in front of Dev. Radhika's family is in trouble and he will offer financial help to come out of the trouble. May be he might offer a job to Chenu in one of the Mutt (similar to Keshav)...Radhika not taking money from the sasuraal makes sense, but it is perfectly okay, to take money from her husband, her KK...

He may say that he is doing this because RP parivaar's izzat is at stake, since in the eyes of society, she is cb of RP parivaar...but in Radhika's eyes (and of course CB audience'e eyes), by saving her  younger brother and her family from distress, he has just fulfilled the responsibility of  safeguarding all the members of the family - youngest to the oldest member in the family and hence completing one the vachan he gave to his bride while taking the phereas with Agni as Sakshi to their wedding... This is a first big step from the groom who considers the wedding as bachpan ka kel...

Journey has just begun...It would be lovely to see Dev fulfilling all the vows he took during the wedding...

Thanks Anukapoor.

That was an extremely great perspective and a valid point in the journey of Radhika and Dev together.  Dev needed to realise that radhika sails in the same boat as him, the only difference being her father's unconditional love.

This journey of radhika and Dev is definitely going to redefine the beauty of love and take it to the higher level.

Wow! Excellent analysis of the situation. Never thought of connecting it in such a manner. Absolutely, now Dev is fulfilling his one promise unknowingly...

Now he has witnessed thru his eyes as to how badly Rads has been treated in her house...not just him, but she too has had to face such harshness in her life...yet she never let him realize it. He came to know of the fact that the belief of she being married to a boy named KK, was not just her childish belief for all these years...but even her father believed in this...and waited along for her KK to return. And despite all these bad conditions in her home, she didnt let her faith waver regarding KK...and kept waiting for him relentlessly! Now he would understand as to why it was so so important for her to make him realize that they are married! He couldnt understand that earlier, because he hadnt lived that truth for 12 yrs! For anyone in this world it would seem like a child play... and so for Dev too...but not for Rads because she lived with this truth! Thus he always got angry at her as to why is she holding on to a simple game so madly and coming after him? But i guess, now he would realize as to how deep rooted this belief is inside her.

In a way, even Radhika doesnt know how Dev is treated in that house...until now everyone has been good to him...but someday she might witness as how Dev gets insulted at that house...probably that would make her understand him of his staunch obligations...as to why was he so against accepting her. The main reason was the fact that he was always treated as an outsider in the family (almost like a servant by everyone, except Dadajee and Daima) Their show of love was selfish. Although the rest of the family were all sweet to him, it was because he obeyed them, did their work etc. She might understand a little more from him. That is what is needed here. Slow and gradual understanding of each other.

They never had this moment to understand each other nicely...first they got attracted and then all this fuss happened, hearts broke and everything went loose...but now they would fall in love with the other person. Till now Radhika has always kept the image of KK (little Dev) in her mind as her husband, because for her this was the only image she had! She felt attracted towards this grown up Dev unknowingly... but love? She doesnt even know this man properly...how can she love him then? However, now she would start knowing him...and thus fall in love with Dev...and not with KK.

A great post Anu and nice to see you back-----you put meaning around today's episode

As you have said, Dev's journey towards accepting the childhood marriage has now begun and dev is fulfilling his responsibilities. This was well done in today's episode ..

Radhika's obligations are his obligations and her pain is his pain...without saying anything, Avinash conveyed a lot about Dev's feelings------

The vows taken during saptapadi are very meaningful and outlines all the responsibilities... Radhika has been fulfilling her vow by taking care of the PH family and now it is Dev's turn to fulfill his side...
