Ranbir, Imran promote their favourites

Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to clash once again in the most unlikely manner. It's a proxy war with the two promoting two rival Pakistani pop stars.

While Imran has been bonding with his Mere Brother Ki Dulhan co-star Ali Zafar, Ranbir is all set to bring down Atif Aslam for a Rockstar concert close to the release.

Ali and Atif are the most popular pop stars in Pakistan and hard core rivals. While Ali has already made his acting debut with Tere Bin Laden, buzz is that Atif too has now signed up with a big production house and will shortly make the announcement. Imran and Ranbir promoting the singers is being viewed as just another chapter in their 'enmity.'

A source says, "Ranbir is fond of Atif, who has given him one of his most memorable song (Tu jaane na from Ajab prem ki ghazab kahani) Now that the singer is about to make his acting debut in Bollywood, RK has become his mentor and is guiding him. Similarly, Imran helped his co-star Ali break the ice with leading lady Katrina Kaif, and supporting him in every which way. There is a feeling in the industry that the two young actors of B-town want to promote their respective 'friends'."

A source says, "Ranbir plans to work closely with Atif on the musical concert when they will tour the country. Also, since Aslam is immensely popular with the girls, the two of them coming together on stage will only work wonders."

Imran too isn't far behind. There is talk of him doing a similar promotional tour with Ali for MBKD. Even though it won't be on the scale of the Rockstar concert the concept is quite similar. With both Ranbir and Imran using similar strategies to promote their releases, we can expect more fireworks than music in the coming months.
