@ sohn, lets wait and watch what is gonna happen next. at this point i don't think that we have to be depressed or disappointed. i strongly think that Anant won't let this engagement happen. remember how he has tackled his Grandfather to get permission for Picnic. so i strongly believe that something will happen.
and as @ nureat01 said first Anant-Navya themselves must realize that they both are in love and are inseparable. so Rama Bhabi unknowingly will help Anant to realize whom he loves and what he wants...
lets wait ...

I don't think there is cause for this much disappointment with the show yet...
I loved the traffic scene for it's subtle detailing as well but I don't think anything has been ruined yet either.
They are not showing that falling in love is only about hugging and kissing but they are being realistic in showing the high of young love...young romance which will obviously be more about impulse...the fact that they aren't always able to think with their heads and keep their emotions in control is what proves that they are young, confused teenagers experiencing the rush of new feelings they've never felt before.
Obstacles are bound to come up...for now, I don't see any obstacle that has killed the story so I won't write off the show as of yet. I actually am intrigued to see how this turning point is handled cuz this is what will deepen their bond ultimately...
And the word 'love' is our interpretation...AN themselves don't know fully if they are in love yet or not...they have to discover a lot more about their feelings...it is not so black and white as to say...first they will realize they are in love...then they will verbalize it for some epis and then move towards intimacy...these things are very unpredictable...for now, I find the way their interactions have progressed to be generally quite realistic and natural.
No one can predict at this time what Anant will say to Navya so let's not write him off just yet either...he's not turned into a full on wussy...yetπ

Nicely said. Whatever explanation Anant gives, it will be heartbreak for Navya.
