After conception, a fertilised egg (ovum) implants in your uterus (womb), but, sadly, something goes wrong and the pregnancy fails. It might be that the baby doesn't develop at all and the pregnancy sac is empty, called a blighted ovum, or the baby might have begun to develop, but then failed to progress.
It's called a missed miscarriage, because you don't realise anything has gone wrong. You may not have had any of the usual signs of miscarriage, such as pain or bleeding. Your body may still be giving you signals that you are pregnant, although if your hormone levels are falling, those signs may lessen slightly.hence, it is important to keep up with all the early days doctor appointments to make sure everything is fine..
thanks for the info Lashy...we didn't converse since PRC days 😆
i got the point on silent miscarriage ...cramps may or may not be a sign of MC (i recently googled n got some info on it) , may be bleeding also doesn't occur..but what i understood abt silent MC , the foetus is dead and the mother doesn't come to know right? in that case, the foetus has to come out of the body, that happens automatically , but that should happen only through blood clots and the mother will come to know that baby is aborted (this might take a few weeks or days)...or else, the doc. waits for natural abortion i guess n incase that doesn't happen, they give medicines or perform D&C procedure ! that makes sense n Akshara will surely come to know herself in 1-2 days since she's already experiencing cramps😕
