Here's Chapter 3:
Dear Diary,
I am so excited today. I'm going to audition for singing today. People say that I'm the best singer in the whole wide world, as if! Anyway, I am already running late and I have just reached the studio. As soon as I got in, I ran to the desk and signed my name. Quickly as a fly, I rushed to the stage.
Man: Who are you?
Me: I'm Taani Banerjee. I've come to audition.
Man: Too late Miss Banerjee. Auditions have finished.
Me: But Sir, just give me one more chance. Please.
He shook his head as I went off the stage. I was just about to open the door when I tripped over a wire and nearly fell. Arms were wrapped around me. I felt so secure and safe.
Me: Tha...Thank you.
Stranger: Whatever. Now, go quickly audition before you waste any of my time.
I nodded my head and sang 'O Bekhabar'. The judges looked impressed with my voice. They accepted me. I jumped up in the air, as tears rolled down my cheeks.
Me: Thank you Sir.
Stranger: Call me Anurag Ganguly. Don't think I did this just because I liked you or I felt sad for you. It's because that you are a good singer and it will make profit for our company.
I was outraged. 😡 He smirked at me and went off.
Me in my head: Aakroo kahi ka.
Oh well, atleast I was in!
I reached home and told my brother Arjun about my auditions.
Arjun: Shall I match you up with him?
Me: Me and him? No way. He's one of the ugliest people in the world!
Arjun: Anyway, I'm going to college to see Arohi. You comin?
Me: Sure!
We drove Arjun's college and saw Arohi.
Me: Arohi!!!!!!
Arohi: Taani!!!!!!
We hugged each other and smiled.
Arohi: Guys, I want you to meet my best friend, Anurag.
A man came in front of us, black shirt, blue jeans with dark coloured shades. He took off his sunglasses. I stared at him. He was the stranger who told me to audition and made me angry!!!
Me and him: Tum???
Arjun: Di, do you know him?
Me: I know him very well. 😡
Arohi: Anyway, want to have some coffee?
We all nodded as we sat down at a small table and waited for the coffee.
Anu: Hey, you. What's your name?
Me: Taani. No need to show attitude, know it all.
Anu: Me, showing attitude? Go and look at yourself in the mirror! 😡
Me: STUPID, IDIOT, FOOL!!!! ARJUN LETS GO!!!!!! 😡
Anu: Thank you for doing me this small favour! 😆
Me: Yeah, yeah.
I pulled Arjun. I turned back to him.
Anu: And you Miss Banerjee, I'll see you tomorrow at the studio. I hope you're not late as I am very punctual.
Me: We'll see about that.
I pushed the handle when I was supposed to pull it. Anurag burst out laughing. 😆
Me: 😡 😡 😡!!!!
Next day
He was late. I was standing outside his office door for atleast about half an hour. Hmm, he's very punctual. Two hours went by, still no sign of him. The clock was ticking. It was 7 in the evening and I had to prepare dinner for Arjun as my parents had passed away. I was just about to go when Anurag came in front of me.
Me: Very late Sir. Shall I remind you the time? It's 7pm! That's exactly 8 hours late!!! 😡
Before he could say a word, I stormed off.

Taani: Tania, what are you doing?
Tania stopped. She closed the book and hid it behind her back.
Tania: Kuch nahi mum. I was just looking for my school clothes.
Taani: That's in your room, not mine. Now hurry up and do all your homework. I'll be checking it in the afternoon.
Tania hid the book under her dupatta and walked to her room.
