Welcome!

As you can tell by the title, this Chat Club is dedicated to the ardent and loyal fans of Gurmeet and Debina Choudhary, and if you wish to be a part of it, please quickly run by the rules below and join us in our fun and lively discussions!😃 Anyone is welcome, so this is not an "Invite Only" chat club like many here.

Rules:

You must be a fan of both Gurmeet and Debina to be a member here. If you dislike either, please do not create a negative atmosphere in this thread by bashing them.

You can only discuss Gurmeet and Debina here, including any of the shows they acted in together (Mayavi, Ramayan, and Pati Patni aur Woh). Mentions of Drashti Dhami, GurTi, and any other co-star of Gurmeet or Debina's will not be allowed if the purpose is to pair them together and offend Gurmina. This rule is not to insult Drashti or GurTi fans, but merely to ensure that no arguments or childish bashing break out, as has happened many times in the past.

Bashing of any sort is not allowed. If you wish to constructively criticize the acting of either Gurmeet or Debina in a particular show/episode, fine, but once you resort to name-calling and use abusive language, you and your post will be reported.

Do not make up news or false interviews of Gurmeet and/or Debina. If you do, we will know. Also, do not use pictures posted here to merge photos of Gurmeet with Drashti or Debina with someone else. That is against IF rules and if we see it anywhere on this site, we will report it.

This is a fan club, not a forum where you may receive some agreement with a criticism you make. So if you simply do not like Gurmeet and/or Debina, please do not post here even if it is to "constructively criticize" them. We will know the difference between someone who criticizes a particular aspect of a person (which is not a bad thing) and someone who merely dislikes that person but hides it (which is a bad thing).

So that's that for the rules! They are not too hard to follow if you are a genuine fan and know how to converse in a courteous manner, so we hope any Gurminian out there who has been looking for a place to vent their love will join us here.🤗

Gurmeet and Debina's first ever television show (and that too together) was the tamil 3D fantasy/thriller Mayavi. It was half science-fiction and half action-oriented, and its target audience was 7-17 year olds. The story of Mayavi centered around current social events and its main characters were mostly female, and when it aired from 2006-2007, it received a very positive response and became an instant hit all over South India, including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala. While Debina played varied roles in the show, Gurmeet was the main villain. Both were received very well by the audience and Mayavi became the first stepping stone of Gurmeet and Debina's television career.

Summary of Mayavi given by the CVs:

"Being a fantasy/thriller based on a legendary comic book hero, we had to build an aura around the main character Mayavi. Mayavi is a mysterious character whose right hand is made of steel and endowed with magical powers. When he comes into contact with electricity his whole body disappears and only the steel hand is seen by the subjects. Mayavi's steel hand embodies special powers with each of the five fingers capable of drawing from one of the five basic elements: fire, wind, water, earth, ether. This scenario called for creating highly stylized, hi-tech looking locales, backdrops and props for the Hero Mayavi to evolve into a larger than life character achieving the utmost impossible tasks. His opposite character, the villain (Hiranyan - Gurmeet Choudhary) is an even more possessed character with a dark past, who embodies devilish powers and is extremely powerful. This clash of the titans is the central theme with each character coming from extreme varied backgrounds that needed clever handling of interplay. The entire serial is shot in a magnum opus cinema feel..."
