Welcome back friends to read the Second Edition of "Sanwre ke rang rachi….Choti Bahu's" very own Newsletter……….. CB2 Express!!!
Your appreciation and support for our previous edition was really heart warming and the NL Team is really happy to have received such good response. Thank you CBians!
Indeed it helped us a lot and stimulated us to do better this time. We have introduced a few new sections this time…..and hope to ameliorate ourselves at every step possible……but this cannot happen again without your support. We need your immense love!!
So comeon, lets gets started and hope you enjoy reading this as much as we enjoyed making it!!
Love can sometimes be indeed very agonizing rather than being a beautiful feeling. The sweetness once felt can turn in to a bitter feeling, the happiness transforms in to grief and leaves your heart wrenching in pain. Such is the emotion of Love……..that can make you fly in the sky with immense joy and it also has equal power to drown you in darkness.
Why does fate play such cruel games with lovers? Dev, who fell in love with the girl whom he met in the ghat on that night for the first time, was shattered to know the game that destiny played with him! That he would have to sacrifice his love, the girl for his family…….and yet cannot cry, cannot blame anyone and neither can he tell his love about his feelings.
We cannot help but relate the above said lyrics with Dev's condition. Why did his heart love a girl whom he can never get? Why does our fate put us through such agonizing tests? Why?
But we know that it's him and not Rohan that Radhika is destined to marry 😃 Love makes you go through painful phases but the one who comes out strong, unscathed wins the ultimate journey.
So what happened this time in CB? Read on the Summary to know more……..
In the previous edition we'd updated till how Dev and Radhika meet and start getting attracted towards each other only after a single encounter in the boat ride. Sooner, the next day itself, they meet each other again whilst she is going to College in Mathura and they spend together some sweet, funny moments that brings them a little more closer.
However in a little while, a family conversation during the dinnertime tugs Radhika out of her temporary happy world and the reality crashes on her – that she is a married woman and shouldn't be getting attracted to some other man! On realizing her folly, she swears to her Kanha that she would never ever try and meet Dev again. But destiny had some other plans and a day later they are brought across each other again in the Holi Mahautsav. To stick to her resolve, Radhika keeps trying to hide herself from Dev repeatedly and prays to Kanha to show some way out. At this point while praying, she averts a small mishap in the temple but people on the contrary start blaming, accusing her because she'd touched a holy pot despite not being a Brahmin, according to them. Maheshwari, being a RajPurohitain is called at this juncture to give justice……when Mansaram pleads forgiveness, informing her that Radhika is a Brahmin by birth and is only adopted by him. A clever Maheshwari forgives Radhika because in the meek and docile girl, whose poor father was begging for forgiveness, she gets an apt candidate for the youngest daughter in law of the family!!
Dev, who wasn't present at the venue during this small fiasco, chances upon Radhika a little later, and in his elation goes and puts colour on her face swiftly. She is baffled at this and runs away from there, leaving Dev to misconstrue that she got offended because he colored her without her consent. Radhika meanwhile goes to the temple and cries out in front of her Lord thinking that her attraction towards this stranger was wrong!
Next Day, Maheshwari calls Mansaram and informs him that she has chosen Radhika to be the wife of the youngest son of the family, Rohan. Mansaram is left bewildered at this proposal cum order of RPtian and tries refusing her, but in vain. When he reaches back home and tells Shanti about this, she tries persuading him to take up this proposal as this would give their poor family much needed respect and status in the society; she even lies to Radhika very sweetly about the proposal to have come in Chanda's name so that Radhika doesn't create any scene. Mansaram, feeling trapped from all sides, decides to keep quiet for the time being. Meantime, Maheshwari asks Dev to visit Rawal with the Shagun for the girl who has been chosen for Rohan. Hearing this, Dev readily agrees as he is delighted to get another chance to meet his love. On other hand, Rohan, who is least interested to get married now, feels jittery and asks Dev to cancel the wedding if he feels the girl isn't suitable.
Buoyant and Joyous in the heady feel of love, Dev sets out to Rawal, unaware of the fact that he's taking the shagun for the very girl whom he's fallen in love with!! As Dev reaches Mansaram's house a mistaken identity happens. Dev is led to believe by Radhika that the proposal has come for her sister Chanda and this makes him even happier……and later when Dev is greeted by Mansaram's family, they think of him as the groom and Radhika is shocked, disappointed to learn this; she feels confused at her feelings towards this man who is now supposed to be her sister's groom. Chanda in the meantime also starts getting attracted towards Dev. However, soon the confusions clear out for Dev and he comes to know that it is Radhika who is chosen for Rohan. The revelation shocks and shatters him completely! Later after Dev had left, Radhika too gets to know her family's betrayal – that the proposal had come for her and not Chanda……and is deeply hurt!! She refuses to get married to any other man than her Kishan Kanhaiya. On which, Shanti and Chanda taunt her faith which she'd kept alive for 12 years to be useless since the guy hasn't returned back yet. Radhika at this point reveals the small fact about her KK being the Kanha in RaasLeela during that Radhashtami. This gives some hopes to Mansaram and avows that he won't let his daughter's indomitable faith fail; he sets out to find the guy.
On the other side, a shattered Dev on reaching home hears Maheshwari telling Rohan as to how important the CB is for the family, as she would be the cure for Dadajee (RP's) health. Hearing this, Dev decides to step back…..to sacrifice his love for the sake of this family! A jittery Rohan, who has now promised Maheshwari to get married to the girl chosen, comes and asks Dev about the girl, insists him to describe the girl. Dev in a very beautiful, poignant way describes Radhika – the girl whom he loved with all his heart! In turn the soulful description leaves Rohan smiling, making him believe that indeed the girl would be very beautiful!
Meanwhile in Rawal, Mansaram comes back home with good news that the guy who had been the KK was none other that RP's youngest grandson, the very boy for whom Radhika's proposal had come. Hearing this wonderful bit, Radhika is ecstatic with happiness for she was still under the misconception that the guy who'd come with the shagun, Dev, was her supposed groom – her KK!!
A day later as the marriage ceremonies begin, Mansaram and Shanti go for the tilak ceremony in Purohit house. Maheshwari in her own sweet way insults them and informs them that the marriage would be conducted after 12 days. Shanti is puzzled at this urgency and tries taking advantage of the situation; she very cunningly keeps the proposal for Chanda and Dev's marriage as well in front of Maheshwari. Maheshwari who'd to get Rohan married to Radhika within 12 days to get hold of the entire RP property accedes eventually…..and announces the same in front of the entire family. But Dev refuses for the same and doesn't yield from his stand. Maheshwari is stumped by his refusal and insults him. However Padma, Daima and Rohan root for Dev's decision firmly and Maheshwari is forced to bow down to Dev's refusal!
The very next day, the entire Purohit Family comes to Rawal for the chunar ceremony and Rohan gets a first look at his bride – and he is floored by her beauty! Radhika on the other hand had her eyes only for Dev and his pained, confused look perplexed her. However her puzzlement soon transforms in to shock when she sees Rohan performing the ceremony instead of Dev….. and she falls unconscious right there, thereby halting the ceremony! Later, when the Purohit's had left, Radhika gains conscious and mumbles that she cannot get married. The family is aghast and asks her as the reason……..for which she replies as to Rohan cannot be her KK. Mansaram and Shanti try to make her believe that Rohan is indeed her KK as the proofs suggest so……but Radhika wonders as to then why does she feel so inherently connected to Dev instead?
Meanwhile in Mathura, Rohan seems to have fallen head over heels in love with Radhika and makes up his mind to become responsible, mature so that she can love him as well. He joins office and this shocks Maheswari and Virat, because they'd wanted him to stay irresponsible and aimless so that they can take all the RP property! Rohan's changed attitude and love towards Radhika convinces Dev that Rohan is indeed the right man for her, because Rohan can give her the luxuries, love and the status of a RPtian……whereas he can never give her that status!
On her feelings being rebuffed her own family, Radhika turns to Kanha with her strong belief that Dev is only her KK and decides to take matters in her hand – decides to speak to Dev and clarify the situation. But on the day she was about to leave to speak to Dev……Dev and Rohan themselves land up at her home for Rohan had wished to talk to her privately. Mansaram allows Chanda and Radhika to go along with the boys and on reaching the temple, Rohan tries initiating a talk with Radhika. But he feels nervous and asks Dev to help him out, who suggests that they both should be left alone…..so he takes Chanda out near the car to give some privacy to Radhika and Rohan. This leaves Radhika disappointed because she had wanted to speak to Dev only!

Worst Episode of the month is the holi episode as it was poorly edited
There is a tie between two scenes for becoming the Best Scene of the Edition. So which are the two scenes? I am sure you would agree the reason for the tie, as both the scenes were beautifully portrayed and was worth watching repeatedly!!
1. The Scene where Dev expresses his anger and pain in front of Radhika's idol that he'd made, after learning the truth. Absolutely wonderful scene where Avinash showed how his eyes alone can make our heart twinge and bring tears rolling down!
Maheshwari insulting Daima so cruelly when her suggestion of Dev and Chanda's marriage was refused! Daima never crossing her limit, tried keeping her point calmly as to Dev's marriage should be his own decision. But Maheshwari in her greed couldn't see anything and insulted Daima outrightly, and then asked her to leave the house.
Dev describing Rads to Rohan: "jaise koi unsuna sa geeth……..."
Undoubtedly this had to win the first coveted position in this category!!! The beautiful poignant rendition of Radhika's beauty by Dev was so touching and heart wrenching because we could see tears in his eyes…….we can see how he felt so helpless because despite loving this girl so much, he can never have her.
The Dialogue taking the Second position is…….
Dev to Radh: "Jithi bar aap khud ko mujse dur karne ki koshish karthi hai, uthni bar kismath mujhe aapke saamne lakar khada kar dethi hai"😉 😳
The cute interaction between Dev and Radhika in her house where he tells her these words was so lovable. Ofcourse fate has predestined you both together, how can you remain apart!
Sigh. Only Radhika had understood the clues that Kanha was giving her through these repeated accidental meetings with Dev!
And in the third position is……..
Dev to Maheswari: "mein aapka apman karne ke barien mein sapne mein bhi nahi soch sakha, Par meine paisla kar liya hai ki mein yeh shaadi nahi kar saktha "👏
Dev's resounding yet polite declaration was like a slap on Maheshwari's face who thought that she can control Dev always like a toy!! Way to go Dev!!!...was the cheering everywhere!!
Not much Bloopers were seen.
Welcome everyone to the Warms n Fuzzies Section!!!!!
'W'n'F' Section is created to cherish all the touching moments in the Month that made our hearts cringe in pain or smile with sadness as the characters lived those moments.
Interesting? So please read on…….😊
WnF 1: Well, the very first scene to be included here is the very scene that I am sure that tugged our heart strings and brought tears in our eyes. It's the Statue Scene! I am sure you all know which scene I am referring to 😭
Yes, the very scene where Dev stands in front of Radhika's Statue that he'd made and let his pains out silently…..mutely but so very poignantly!! His shattered heart was bleeding in pain every second as he thought about the entire Purohit household joyously waiting for their CB…..their joy that demanded his sacrifice…….sacrifice of the very girl whom he loved more than anything else in his life! Tears of anguish and agony roll down his eyes. The only girl whom he lost his heart to……would soon become someone else's……..worse, would marry his brother and remain in this household as his sister-in-law!! But he cannot do anything as CB's arrival is supposed to cure Dadajee…..bring happiness in this house; even if it drowns him in darkness! He felt angry at his fate for making him fall in love with the very girl whom he can never possess…….felt helpless because destiny had played such a pathetic game with him, throwing him in to crossroads – neither can he stop loving the girl nor can he let his family, who have adopted and sheltered him, suffer!! His family won and he lost everything completely……and worst part he cant reveal his pain to anyone. So he covers the statue with a cloth……covers his Love for the sake of the family!
Excellent acting by Avinash! Truly superb acting where he doesn't mutter a word but his eyes does all the speaking! So cogent were his expressions that it wrenched our hearts and brought tears from our eyes too! Dev's pain, anger, anguish at the game that fate has played…..was very stupendously portrayed by him…….just by Expressions!! Truly what an actor!!👏 👏
Again excellent acting by Avinash Sachdev!! Applauses to the man who can emote so beautifully……and even though the scene looked slightly filmy, the actor stood apart!! 👏
Nice acting by Rubina……she showed varied expressions on her face…….hurt when she felt cheated by her mother…….pain when her sister taunted her……and smile remembering her KK and ultimately happiness when her father promises to bring info about her KK!! Excellent!!👏 👏
WnF 10: When everyone in the house disbelieved Radhika's faith – that Rohan isn't her KK, including Mansaram she was left alone and kept asking Kanha as to why does her mind tell that Dev is her KK. Seeing this Shanti comes and tries convincing her cleverly about Rohan being the KK. Radhika tries telling her point, but Shanti doesn't allow her to and Radhika merely shakes her head as tears of sorrow kept spilling down her eyes……for she has no one to whom she can share this confusion and anguish of hers!! Shanti tries pressurizing her cunningly by reminding her about the sacrifices Mansaram had given to raise her and how he stood by her all these days. This further pains Radhika as she didn't want to upset her father……but didn't want to go against her heart as well.
Star Male Character
Best Actor of the Edition: The Actor who indeed shined through this month was none other than……….
Avinash Sachdev!!
He delivered one after other mind blowing performances in every way possible! Whether it was funny sequence of multiple characters where Dev tried his best to woo his love……or the Holi episode where he portrayed a love struck guy yearning for his beloved……or the shattered man after realizing the truth……..Avinash did justice to each and every scene with aplomb!! Beautiful and subtle expressions with his face and eyes did the job even when the dialogues' weren't given! 👏
Best Actress of the Edition: If Avinash did perfect justice to Dev…….then even the character of Radhika was beautifully depicted by…….
Rubina Dilaik
What a wonderful performance she gave in every scene from happiness being with the stranger……that got converted to pain and confusion!👏 The actress can so beautifully change her expressions in a whiff of a second from Happiness to grief…..from anger to confusion! The scene where she describes her KK to Mansaram was so beautifully done……innocence shone through her face and love sparkled in her eyes as she reminisced her moments with little KK. And then when Mansaram tells her about KK being RP's grandson and her thinking Dev to be KK……….wow!! Subtle yet joyous expressions flashed on her face so sweetly!!
We have a tie in this section!!!!! Yes, we have two Menaces this time who are making the lives of the character (and ofcourse even ours) a hell!! Hehe.
So who are these Mahan vyaktis (person) who made us tear our hairs in frustration??
1) Maheshwari Devi aka Temporary RPtian sheds crocodile tears everytime she feels that she's losing the battle. With fake tears in eyes, she throws askance, sly glances at everyone to see if all are believing her…….and indeed it seems that her 'open-the-tap-to-make-things-work' mantra works so beautifully and lo jee…….all fall down!
2) The second person winning this category is none other than 'Mr. Fevicol' aka Rohan! Yes, the guy seems to have got smitten with the idea of Radhika……with the mere description of Radhika that Dev gave her! He asks Dev to cancel this wedding if the girl is anything less than "lakhon main ek"……..and when Dev describes her beauty, he falls in love with her!?? So for Rohan, its only the external beauty…….sorry Rohan…..then its not Love for sure!!
