Misti, the funny thing is that they are not even copying CB1 here. In CB1, Radhika used to spurn Dev but when he would become sick, her tender feelings would come out. Here, what kind of spiritual love is this? Two weeks ago, he was shown crazy about Radhika. Now he doesn't have a compassion that his psycho brother almost killed her. I actually fast forwarded his scene when he started screaming like a demented person. He seemed like Rohan in that scene.
There is no spiritual love here...between Radhika and Dev...but there is between Dev and Rohan...see I told you yesterday that they finally decided to make a new show with spiritual love and the twist is, it is between Dev and Rohan...
You know I only watched the first part and forwarded it after Dev started ranting and going crazy. Then I calmed myself: You are now Why6 and this is 1970s movie. But realized that actually it is more like those 1960s mala Sinha type movies where the heroine would be treating her husband like God who would treat her like crap for 3 hours. At the end of the movie, the husband would suddenly improve, ask for forgiveness and the heroine would say that he had the right to do so as he was her God. I think a lot of heroines were feisty in 1970s movie (remember Basanti from Sholay).
Anyway, since I don't like those kind of movies and wanted a new age song, I had to go to 1980s era (don't have any reference from 1990s and 2000's movies) to find an appropriate song (something does come up with watching all kind of C/D grade movies on TV when your high school and college exams are going on. My ratio of watching crappy movies used to go up the more closer I came to exam date).
Ok this one is from movie: Naseeb apna apna. I could not find the song on youtube and so relying on memory. I think it had Rishi Kapoor and Farha (second stylish wife) and somebody for the first wife (South Indian actress but can't remember her name). The first wife sings the song to defend her husband to the second wife who is unaware that her the husband is a cheater and she is the second wife. So the husband is there, first wife is there and second wife is feeling compassionate with first wife and is angry at the husband for mistreating the first wife.
Radhika singing it to Kanha when Dev becomes really obnoxious and inhuman.
Bura hai bhala hai, jaisa bhi hai
mera pati to mera devta hai...
I have also see this movie...
So...Rishi Kapoor character is Dev...Radhika is Radhika and Farha is Rohan...wah what a twist chunnu munnu.
...but here the twist is that Dev will leave a wife for a platonic brother relationship...
Your story reminds me of a friend of mine...she passed her CA exam in India after her third attempt. Everytime she used to flunk, she used to go and watch any Govinda movie.
