This whole plot is ridiculous. First of all, what's the urgency for Veena to get married, particularly if her family can't afford her dowry? That dowry demand on its own should be enough for the family to reject the dulha.
Second, if Murli does decide to marry Bharti, what reason would he give? And how long will it be b4 she finds out that the only reason he married her was so that he could give 7 lakhs of her fortune as dowry? Also, if Rupesh loses his case b4 that can happen, then how does Murli then decline? Either way, he'll lose face, although given how Rupesh loves grovelling, he may not lose much.
Here's an idea, Murli - the dulha that's come for Veena - send them to Rupesh & Bharti. Since money means so much to them, let him marry Bharti and earn their lakhs. In the meantime, have Veena study - unlike Bharti, she ain't about to lose her father, and can stand on her own 2 feet w/o being mocked by society the way Bharti is.
If Murli does marry Bharti and then it turns out that Rupesh loses his case & has nothing to give Murli, I'd love to see the look on Gaushala's face when neither Veena can be married off, and nor would Gaushala move into a big haveli. They'll just have to accomodate Bharti in their space. I'd think everybody would be nice to her in that scenario, except Gaushala & her puppet hubby.
