One image of Rani tells her that she has to fulfill her duties as a wife while the other says that she will have to fulfill her duties as a daughter-in-law. Rani, however, decides to fulfill both duties.
Rani meets Prince and tells him that she doesn't know why God gave him Raj's face but Rajendra thinks that he's Raj and if he finds out the truth, he may die so she wants him to live as Raj until Rajendra gets well. Prince agrees but tells her that he tried to tell her the reason behind him pretending to be Raj but never had the courage, so he wrote her a letter but she found out part of the truth before even reading it. He tells her that he lived among them as Raj because he wanted to make up for his mistake. Rani seems confused. He then tells her that he was driving the car that hit Raj's bike. Rani is shocked. He also tells her that he tried saving him but he had already fallen off the bridge and when he came to their house to apologize, Raj's 'chautha' was going on and he found out that he looks like Raj and wasn't able to tell them the truth upon seeing hope in their eyes. He pleads her to give him a chance to make up for his mistake but she leaves in anger.
Rani tells Karan everything. After a moment's silence, he asks her as to what has she decided. She tells him that she can't see her family shattered and will have to talk to Prince. She calls him up and tells him that Rajendra may be waiting for them at home.
Rani and Prince meet Rajendra and Surekha. Surekha tells Prince that Rajendra was waiting to meet him the whole day. She then tells Rani that she has decide to have 'Akhand Ramayan path' for Raj the next day, as the prayer was left incomplete.
After meeting Rajendra and Surekha, Rani makes her way towards her house and Prince follows her. Rani enters the house but Prince waits outside. Rani sees a frame with Raj's picture on the desk and talks to it. She says that no one can ever take his place in her heart and in this house. She removes her 'mangalsutra' and places it next to Raj's picture. Prince then enters and his face is reflected on the frame with Raj's picture. Rani tells him she is a daughter-in-law outside this house but in this house, she shall remain Raj's wife. She tells him that she doesn't want him to cast his shadow on Raj's picture, as he is his killer. Prince feels bad.
In the morning, Surekha takes Rani's 'Ramayan' from her for the prayer. Rani is about to leave with her but Surekha tells her to come with Raj, as they would both sit in the prayer as husband and wife. Rani gives Prince an angry look.

Prince and Rani go to Yash's house, where Rani is surprised to see Shalini and Puneet. Rani asks Mai about the surprise. Mai tells her that Shalini is pregnant. Rani gets really excited and hugs her. Prince congratulates Puneet. Mai asks Rani as to when would she make Shalini a 'mausi'. The smile on Rani's face fades away and she remains silent. Prince feels uncomfortable. Rani then tells them that she'd inform Komal. She dials her number and all of them hear her phone ring. They look at the door and are shocked to see her standing there, with her bag, and with bruises on her face. Komal cries and hugs Yash. Yash asks her as to what happened. Komal tells them that her parents-in-law have not been treating her well ever since they found out about Yash's financial loss. A flashback is shown wherein Komal gives her parents-in-law a box of 'mithai' and a 'sari' from Yash. Her mother-in-law insults Yash and then gives the 'mithai' and 'sari' to the maid. Komal also tells them that few days after their marriage, they placed a lot of pressure on her to bear a child. She adds that they didn't even feed her well and then her mother-in-law started hitting her. A flashback is shown of a day when some guests visit the house to invite them to a party for their newborn child. They then ask Komal's mother-in-law when they would have a grandson. After they leave, her mother-in-law insults her for not being able to bear a child. When Komal tries to explain, her mother-in-law slaps her. Komal apologizes to Yash for not being able to adjust to her situation. Another flashback is shown, wherein Dheeraj and Komal inform Dheeraj's parents that Komal can't bear a child. Her mother-in-law is furious at Komal. Komal tells them that the doctor suggested to have a test tube baby but her mother-in-law says that she wants Dheeraj's own child and will have him remarried. Komal is shocked. She leaves from there, crying. Dheeraj tries to tell his mom that he can't just leave Komal. His mother then gives divorce papers to Komal and asks her to sign it. Komal refuses and tears them; she also refuses to leave the house. Her mother-in-law starts hitting her. Dheeraj watches helplessly. Prince tells Komal that she was treated unjustly. Puneet agrees and tells her that he'd talk to Dheeraj. Prince offers to come along. They both leave. Prince looks at Rani before he steps out of the house (I couldn't make out Rani's expression but she didn't seem angry at him..)
