EPISODE 1

It's the middle of a dark starry night...

Maan has gotten a small room on the ground floor, which he has to share with another naukar...

Everyone seems to have finally passed out. Maan has been waiting for this moment for the past hour... He was tossing and turning waiting for the nauker's kharrate to start... which just did. Finally, he slowly slips out onto the main hall, and starts walking up the stairs...

Geet's room is up the stairs, straight ahead on the right ... he makes the right after reaching upstairs, reaches her door, and gently knocks on the door.

Geet comes at the door and asks; "Kaun? Kaun hai?" She tries to look out but Maan is hiding on the side so she doesn't see him. Maan who has already recorded Pammi's voice saying "Geet", plays it on his phone. Geet, thinking it is Pammi, quickly opens the door.

As soon as she opens the door, Maan quickly grabs hold of her soft hands and pulls her out. Background music starts. Light wind blows making her hair fly back slowly. Their eyes meet. Geet realizes what she has done and quickly turns back. Maan, still holding her hand firmly pulls her again, this time even closer, wrapping one of his arms around her, pressing her body against his manhood. The fresh scent of Geet's hair oozes life in Maan's senses. She had just showered before going to bed. A faint ray of light from a small lamp at the end of the hallway is shining her bronze caramel eyes. He stands there, staring, smelling, and feeling her, stimulating his senses to the core. Geet reciprocates with the same response momentarily forgetting her state of mind. Suddenly this trance is broken by a faded low voice from out side "jaagte raho"! Maan is distracted and Geet manages to get herself out of the hold of his arms. Geet turns around to go back into her room where Maan softly says, "Geet ruko!" She stops for a moment, but starts walking again. Maan puts his hand on her shoulder and says, "tumhare liye ek tohfa laaya hoon. Mat karo mujhe maaf, lekin mujh se ek minute baat to kar sakti ho na?" Geet softens and turns around. Maan slowly puts his hand around her waist and directs her to the middle of the hallway where there's a mirror. He had brought a laal dupatta for her. He takes it out and puts it on her head. (MAAHIIIII) They both stare at each other through the mirror.

His fingers all this while are brushing her hands from shoulders down to the palms. Shivers keep passing through her body. His fingers start walking their way back up. The dupatta falls from the head and settles on her shoulders. Maan's fingers find her neck and start to caress it. Geet now unable to control herself, unwillingly pushes her body against his. Suddenly, maan takes her in a warm tight embrace. His lips slightly touch her neck and start moving up, to her cheeks. Losing herself in that sensation, yet quickly getting a hold of herself, Geet wakes up from this spell and tries to break free again. The show piece at the edge of the table right below the mirror falls in this fight, making a loud noise.

Lights in more than one room turn on instantly. Maan and Geet have seconds to hide themselves. They are forced to take shelter behind the navy blue velvet curtains right at the edge of an empty room next door. They both hide behind the curtains while a funny sequence happens between Lucky and Lacchi about whether a billi did this. Teji is fiercely looking for an intruder. All the while Maan has Geet are closed in a really tight grip behind the curtain. They are facing each other and hugging firmly because the curtain is not wide enough. Maan's hands completely wrapped around her moving slowly up and down her back. His fingers tenderly running through her bare back sneaking out from her low-back salwar kameez. She lets out a light Moan and says softly, "MAAN". He knows she is falling in Maan Singh Khurana's magical trap. He pulls her even closer. She feels his firmness even more evidently now. Her knees are getting weak. He bends his head down and kisses her shoulder, then neck, then ear. Geet utters helplessly, "Please mujhe jaane dijiye Maan". He ignores her plea, loosens his grip lightly, and moves his lips to her forehead, then planting sensual kisses on her eyes, then moving on to the lips. The lips barely touch, Maan is about to feel Geet's lusciousness, he waits a few moments to feel those soft truffles hoping to build more tension. His lips are now finally about to reach their final destination (for now), where suddenly he hears a loud noise yelling "GEET".

Teji's voice breaks them out of their moment again. Teji has seen Geet's door open and Geet missing. He is now angrily looking everywhere for her. She pleads to maan to let her go before she gets caught with him. He refuses to let her out of his grasp. She takes hold of his arms and tries to push them down trying to break free. But maan closes in even harder. She is now desperate. Maan, now holding her waist firmly with one hand and holding her palm with the other, says softly in his husky bedroom voice and staring at her with his bedroom eyes "Chodne ke liye thode hi dulhan banaya hai tumhe Geet? Ab to tabhi chodunga jab'" Geet, who was managing to look at him till now, shyly moves her eyes away. Maan singh Khurana ko mauke ka faayda to uthana tha' so he says "Acha chalo chod deta hoon, par tabhi jab tum wada karogi ki kal mere saath market chalogi." Geet replies, "Nahi mein aap ke saath kahin nahi jaa rahi hoon. " "Thik hai phir, mein bhi tumne nahi chod raha." Maan utters, playing steadily with her palm and fingers, rhythmically sending chills down her spine. "Maan yeh aap kya kar rahe ho? Please mujhe jaane dijiye na!" Geet begs. Her voice now squeaking in appeal. "Toh phir waada karo." Maan speaks authoritatively. "Acha thik hai main chalungi kal aap ke saath market. Ab please jaane dijiye mujhe." With that, Maan quickly lets go of his clutch and she runs off to her room without getting caught. Teji spots her in her room and asks, "kahan thi tum?" "chat pe gai thi Veerji. Neend nahi aa rahi thi." Itni raat ho chuki hai, tumhara chat pe hona thik nahi. Ab so jao." Tej pronounces. "Ji Veerji. Good Night." Geet closes her door.

Maan the conqueror is still standing behind the velvet curtains while everyone goes off into their rooms and shuts of the lights. Smiling wickedly, he knows that he has caught his Geet in a trap. He knows he is not taking her to the Market tomorrow. He has completely different plans for her.

EPISODE 2

Maan and Geet both torturously pass through a sleepless night. They both know that the next morning is going to shine brighter than usual. Geet although has vowed to stay as far away from her Ma(a)n as possible, still can't wipe that smile off her face. It is now 6 AM. Geet is up earlier than usual for apparent reasons. She takes her sweet time embellishing herself. Her face is glowing more vividly today, in anticipation of spending some time in peace and privacy with her soul mate after what feels like an eternity. She is staring at herself in the mirror, with a soft silky serene smile that she just can't seem to get rid of. She knows she is still angry with him and continues to remind herself of that fact, so that last night's blunder doesn't repeat. She should have controlled herself yesterday. But today, she knows she is not going let him touch her. Little does she know in the world of her innocence what is to be bestowed upon her by her ceaseless lover.

Maan is impatiently counting the moments when he can take his girl for the surprise of her life. But life isn't through with testing Maan Singh Khurana's patience. He walks out of his room and sees his dream stepping down the stairs, looking more picturesque than the painting displayed behind her. He is lost in a reverie again just standing still, admiring the magnificence that slowly paced towards him. She walks up to him and speaks before he can articulate what to say, "Mein aaj aap ke saath kahi nahi jaa sakti, hum phir kabhi jaa sakte hai? Aaj mujhe biji ke saath mandir jaana hai." She knows she has no where to go, but he needs to know that winning a few moments with her isn't that easy. She wants him to burn a little while longer. But she hadn't expected he would react so viciously. The anger in his eyes is now transparent and Geet is starting to regret her decision. Without caring for who might see them, he grabs hold of her arms with his, and pins her to a wall closest to his left. "Kya lagta hai tumhe Geet? Tum har baar waada todti rahogi aur mein har baar tumhare intezaar mein marta rahunga? Nahi! Nahi aana chahti ho na mere saath? Thik hai phir. Ab dekho tum mein kya karta hun." Maan speaks looking hurt and angry. Before Geet can gather what to do next, he lets go of her and starts to walk out, only to find his Taaveez stuck in her top. This was not a good place for the Taaveez to get caught. The position was too close to her heart. Her heart starts to beat faster, her breath getting heavier. Maan too feels the tension she is experiencing. She aggressively but clumsily tries to get it out, but fails. Maan comes to rescue. (MAAHII) She puts her right hand on his shoulder. He brushes his fingers a little below her neck to reach the destination (of the Taaveez), and takes the knot out with ease. He brushes his fingers thru the area some more, before moving his hand and the Taaveez away. Geet reacts to his touch, and presses on his shoulder. The still angry Maan is softened by the sensation of her touch and the sound of her heart beats. But still gives her a spiteful look, walks out of the Haveli, and starts washing the car.

She knows the Maan that she just witnessed is not to be messing with. The lion is out of his den. "e lley geet. Ruthna tujhe tha, aur ruth woh gaye. Kardi na gadbad. Ab kya karun?" Geet thinks to herself. Just then, Nandini comes from inside and goes outside shouting Maan's name, which is now "Mahinder Singh". Seeing her Mahi being chased by her cousin sister sparks the familiar envy in her mind. She stands by the door to see what Nandini has to say. "Mahinder, yahan ek ghante dur ek mela laga hai aur mein aur meri kuch dost wahan jana chahte hai. Agar aap ko Veerji ke saath kuch kaam na ho to kya aap hume le ja sakte hai?" A staring and admiring Nandini requests. "Nahi!" Angry maan spontaneously shouts. But seeing Geet at the gate with a corner of his eyes, changes his tone. "Acha thik hai, hum adhe ghante mein niklenge. Bol do tumhari dosto ko." His voice now softening. Geet's mouth is now pretty widely opened. She is cursing herself out without realizing that she is supposed to be giving him a cold shoulder. "Gadhi, khoti, ullu di patthi, kab akal aayegi tujhko?" she murmurs. Maan chuckles at hearing this. "Teer bilkul nishane par laga hai." He thinks to himself. Suddenly, the hose he was washing the car with breaks spreading water on himself and Nandini, who is still standing there gazing at him in his black wife beater. Nandini gets caught off guard and slips. Maan catches her in time. Their eyes lock and Nandini can't stop gawking at him. Maan too stares back and continues to hold her. He knows his Geet's face has turned Red, green, blue and yellow at the same time. And he is enjoying it thoroughly. He finally lets go of Nandini. He brushes the excess water off himself and takes off his t-shirt. Nandini stands there motionless flattered by his flawless body. Geet is now burning in the fire started by her own self. She looks upstairs and Lacchi who was supposed to be drying clothes is also staring at her Mahi. She instantly yells, "Lacchi, mere liye chai banao, aur Nandini, andar chalo aur apne kapde sukhao." Realizing that her voice is too stern with Nandini, she calms down and says, "Nahi woh mein isliye keh rahi hoon ki tum puri bheeg chuki ho kahin beemar na pad jao."

Both girls leave. Maan starts walking towards the gate, towards Geet, slowly. She stands there watching him come closer towards him. Her heart is again pounding extensively. Geet knows she needs to leave before he comes any closer with his bare chest, or else she is to lose her senses again. But he quickly reaches her and stands in front of her, staring deep in her eyes. As she turns away to leave, he grabs a hold of her arm. Geet skips a beat but composes herself and yells "Maasi". Maan panics and lets go of her hand. Biji comes in and Maan gruntingly walks away into his room, watching sneakily at her every move. Geet says, "Biji, maine kuch frame banvane di thi Market mein, wohh laani hai. To kya mein Market jaa sakti hoon?" "Bilkul jaao beta. Gaadi aur Driver ko saath lekar jaana." Biji answers sweetly. "Par biji gaadi to mein aur meri dost mele mein lekar jaane wale the." Nandini whines while drying her dupatta and hair. "Chup kar jhalli. Kisi mele shele mein nahi jaana hai tenu. Kal hi marksheet dekhi teri. Ulte se avval aayi hai. Tu kahin nahi jayegi." Biji reacts. Geet smiles, and so does Maan, but pretends like he didn't hear anything.

"Mahinderji," Geet knocks at his door guarding his identity. He opens it with a wicked smile to die for. "Wohh..... umm..... jo..... hum..... kalโ€ฆ.." she fumbles. "Jo bhi kehna hai saaf saaf kaho mere paas time nahi hai. Mujhe jaldi jaana hai." Maan speaks indifferently. "Kya aap mujhe market le ja sakte ho?" Geet softly pleads. Maan jumping with joy inside, but controls his expressions. "Nahi, mujhe Nandini madam ko mele mein le jaana hai." Biji overhears this and says "Nandini kahin nahi jaayegi, tum Geet ko Market le jao. Aur geet puttar, ek ghante mein vaapis aa jana." "Ji Biji", "Ji Maasi" both anxiously exclaim together!

Both are now moving towards the car, Maan glaring at Geet while walking and thinking, "aakhir aana hi pada mrs. Khurana ko mr. Khurna ke saath ghumne. Ek ghanta nahi, pure ek din ke baad lane wala hoon tumhe ghar waapis! " Both sit in the car and he drives a few minutes before stopping the car on a quite roadside. He gets out, opens her door, pulls her out, drags her deeper into the woods, and pins her against a giant stone. "Bahot maza aa raha hai na mujhe tadpaakar? ab dekhna, iski saza tumhe zaroor milegi. Kya socha tha tumne, mujh se bach jaogi?" Maan's authoritative, yet deep modulated voice is back. Geet now perturbed by his close proximity. She had vowed to herself she would stay away. Her heart racing again. "Nahi aisi koi baat nahi thi Maan." She says awkwardly. "Acha? Thik hai phir, koi problem nahi hai na tumhe mere saath? To phir maan ni padegi meri ek baat! " Maan says. "Kya." Geet now breathing harder. "Ek chota sa surprise hai. Par tab tak, tumhe apni aankhen bandh rakhni padegi." Maan exclaims! "Kya? Nahi mein aisa kuch nahi karungi." Geet now scared. "Thik hai phir, to hum yahi par time paas karte hai phir!" Maan smiles winningly. "Yyyyyehh kya baat hui maan. Har baar aap ki dhamki nahi chalegi." Geet progressively getting her guts back. With that, Maan pulls her closer, and utters, "Ab dhamki nahi dunga, sidha kar ke dikhaunga." He loosens her grip, turns her around, takes out an eye band from his pocket, and slowly puts it around her eyes. Geet now submits herself unwillingly. She knows she shouldn't let this happen, but she gives in. Maan closes the band, runs his fingers down her face, thru her neck and her back, weakening her more. Then whispers in her ears, "Aaj ka din tumhe bhulne nahi dunga Geet!" He delicately turns her around, gets on his knees, and kisses her stomach. Then slowly getting up, his hands now on her waist, his face studying the intricate curves of her body before settling on her ears and whispers "Aaj har ek angle se mein tumhe โ€ฆ โ€ฆ โ€ฆ Ghabraogi to nahi na?"

EPISODE 3

Ring Ringโ€ฆ Ring Ringโ€ฆ

The ring of the phone echos in the whole Haveli. Biji manages to pick it up. A man's voice on the other end says "Hello!" "Sat Sri Akaal". Biji greets back. Suddenly comic music plays and we see Adi on the other line. He starts to speak on the phone "Ji mein DDC se bol raha hoon." Biji interrupts, "news channel walo ne pareshan kar rakha hai. Mein apna faisla nahi badalne wali aur kisi ko koi interview nahi dene wali." "Arrey nahi nahi, mein Delhi destrict court se baat kar raha hoon." Adi funbles in shock and barely continues, "Hume Geet Khurana ke purane address se uska naya address aur phone number yeh bataya gaya hai. Is liye mein court ki taraf se aap ko ittalah kar raha hoon. Aaj dopahar saade teen baje Geet ko court mein kuch kaagaz par dastakhat karne ke liye pesh hona padega. Apni pichli peshgi mein bhi who nahi aa payi thi. Is baar nahi pahochi, to use par kaanuni karwahi ho sakti hai." Biji now worried. "Yeh kis tarah ka case hai jo meri Geet ko korat tak le jayega?" "Dekhiye behenji, hum aap ko saari details nahi bata sakte, lekin itna kahenge ki ek purana case hai jo wohh jeet chuki hai lekin papers pure nahi hai to unhe aake apne dastakhat dene padenge, aaj hi." Adi finally lies with composure. "Thik hai Geet pahoch jaayegi." She hangs up the phone. "YES!!! Ab maan sir aap ka raasta saaf hai!" Adi jumps with joy. Meanwhile Biji paces around the hall for five minutes. Teji has gone away for some work and won't be back till tomorrow. It will take 6 hours to get to Delhi and it's already 9 AM. "Mein Geet ke ghar lautne tak intezaar nahi kar sakti." She thinks to herself. Quickly calculating everything, she tries calling Geet, but Geet has still kept her cell phone off to remain disconnected from her past world. Biji remembers that she wrote down Mahinder's phone number the day he was hired. She rings him up.

There in the woods Maan has kept Geet in his magical trance and is working his charm in full swing leaving no stone unturned in seducing her. He is whispering in his ears, "Aaj har ek angle se mein tumheโ€ฆ โ€ฆ โ€ฆ Ghabraogi to nahi na?" Just when Geet's breathlessness reaches its peak, the phone rings. "Ek minute Geet, hilna nahi, aur patti to bilkul mat nikaalna, samjhi tum?" Maan commands her. She stands there without uttering a word. But then she thinks "MASTI TIME". Takes the band off, and starts dancing around as soon as Maan walks away. She knows she is happy and in masti mood today after so long. She doesn't know why. "Hello." Maan on the other side answers the phone. "Oye Mahinder, puttar tenu mera ek kaam karna padega." Biji says with concern in her voice. "Ji Biji." Maan replies. "Dekh puttar, Geet ko aaj hi kisi kaam se sadde teen baje delhi pahuchna hai, tujhe abhi use market se nikaal ke delhi district court leke jaana padega. Warna pareshani ho jayegi." Biji speaks worriedly. "Acha, aisi baat hai, main abhi Geet ko, mere matlab hai Geet madam ko leke Delhi ke liye nikalta hoon." Maan nodds his head with a grin, appreciating how well Adi has done his job. "Puttar agar delhi mein der ho jaye to waapis mat aana. Wahan hamare ek rishtedaar hai unke waha ruk jana. Mein unhe phone kar dungi. Likho abhi address deti hoon unka." Biji speaks protectively. "Biji pen to nahi hai mere paas. Mein aap ko Delhi se hi phone kar lunga agar der hui to." Maan doesn't want to prolong this conversation any longer. "Thik hai, jiyonda reh puttar. Rakhti hoon." Biji hangs up the phone.

Now all hurdles are removed. Maan's face is glowing with exhilaration. He knows that now nothing can stop him from taking his Geet away for a day. Geet sees the phone call has ended so she puts her band back on and stands there like a good little girl who is up to no harm. He slowly walks back towards Geet staring at and admiring her with thirsty eyes. He reaches her and stands near her, not touching her. She can't see him but feels the familiar air of his breath brushing through her face, and senses his eyes studying her. "Maan?" she exclaims. "Haan Geet!" He replies, still gazing at her. "Kya hua aap kuch bol kyu nahi rahe hai?" Geet questions. "Khwaab dekh raha hoon." Maan replies but quickly gets alert without letting her react. "Chalo Geet, chale yahan se." He grabs her waist with one hand, directing her to the car. He opens the passenger door for her, carefully sitting her in the car, then closing the door. "Bethiye Geet Madam!" He speaks with a smirk then gets back in the car. "Maan, kya hum Market nahi jaa rahe?" Geet smiles and asks. "Tumhe kya lagta hai Geet?" Maan counters with another question. "Nahi! Mujhe lagta hai aap aaj kisi aur sharaarat par utar aaye ho. Mujhe pata tha mujhe aap ke saath nahi aana chahiye tha!" Geet now annoyed makes a face. "Mere saath to hamesha sharaaratein karti ho, ab jab khud ki baari aayi, to nakhre? Achi baat hai!" Maan reacts with sarcasm. "Aap se toh baat karna hi bekaar hai. Mujhe aap se ab koi baat nahi karni!" Geet makes another unpleasant expression at him, her eyes still covered. But Maan remains unaffected, in fact thoroughly enjoys her drama. "Baat karne ke liye....... keh bhi kaun raha hai Geet?" He speaks seductively while grabbing hold of her right hand. The sensation of his sudden touch brings shivers through her body. Since she can't see, she is caught totally off guard. "Mera haath kyun pakda?" Geet reacting nervously. "Meri marzi!" Maan replies naughtily. "Chodiye mera haath!" She tries to break free. "Ab to yeh mere marne ke baad hi chootega." Maan says with sincerity. Deeply irritated Geet can't think of what else to do, so she takes the band off her eyes. "Yeh kya kar rahi ho?" Maan asks all surprised. "Patti nikaal rahi hoon, Meri Marzi." Mrs. Attitude is back. "Fine!" Maan now aggravated. "Fine!" Geet mirrors his tone.

The rest of the car ride, neither speaks a word. Maan continues the hold of her hand and keeps caressing it. Geet stops fighting it eventually and enjoys it secretly for the remaining ride. Maan suddenly pulls over. They are now 2 hours away from Amritsar. Geet is now free from Maan's grip and regains consciousness. Both walk out of the car. The highway seems to have ended and they are at the edge of a dirt path. All she sees is a hill a small distance away. There is nothing around them except peace and tranquility. Birds are chirping and a small bed of flowers lay on both sides of the dirt road, making two straight lines meet at the horizon. Geet takes a moment to absorb her astonishment, and comes back to reality. "Yeh kahaan aa gaye hum Maan? Maasi mujhe maar daalegi. Aap abhi waapis chaliye ghar." Maan, attacked with all these questions gets impatient, angrily walks up to her, and puts his finger on her lips. "Chup! Bilkul Chup!" He softly murmurs his favorite words with not only his mouth, but with his intense eyes as well. Few anxious moments pass by. Rhythmic background music continues to play. Slow breeze painting a sensation on both before breezing along. Maan now calming down, speaks - "Aisa kuch nahi hone wala Geet. Biji sochti hai ki tum Delhi mein ho court mein kuch papers sign karne ke liye, aur kal lautogi. Meri unse phone pe baat ho chuki hai." His voice now modulates low - "Ab kal tak, tum mere saath, yahaan, akeliโ€ฆ!" Geet lets out a deep sigh in the anxiety that her man is building in her. She knows that her self respect won't let her come close to him, and her immense love and burning desire for him won't let her fight him. She knows how weak her knees get at any single sensation relating to Maan Singh Khurana โ€“ whether it's just a mere sight of him, or the sound of his breath or heartbeat, or his husky manly smell, or his touch. Oh his touch, she sighs again! She is in a dilemma. She fears his eternally stirring love for her may conquer her soul and defeat her self respect. "Chale?" Maan breaks her from her deliberation. They start walking towards the hill. "Ruk jao Geet!" He stops her. Goes back to the car, brings the band, and ties her eyes again. She accepts it submissively this time, in anticipation of what's to appear before her. Both of maan's hands are now on her shoulders, guiding her ahead. His touch, his breath, his smell, they are all affecting her. She feels the need to embrace him, but controls herself. They finally reach the part of the hill that has stairs. He picks her up walking up the stairs. She now is thoroughly enjoying her hands stroking his neck while he carries her weight up the hill. They reach up the hill.

He takes the band off and she slowly opens her eyes in disbeliefโ€ฆ

EPISODE 4

They have just reached up the hill. The band has come off. Geet slowly opens her eyes to a scene she has never witnessed before. She can't believe her eyes.

It's a big wide open area overseeing a magnificent lake and more beautiful hills. It feels like she is reliving the day she had first met Maan, but somehow this is so much more celestial and stunning. Someone, perhaps Maan, has gotten this area decorated with only the elements of nature, and a hint of Maan! She starts walking the path leading to a white Gazebo wrapped in red Drapes. The images of their first reunion keep flashing before her eyes. The glass stones that are embellished on the pillers, drapes, and garlands hanging in between pillars are shining from the reflection of early afternoon sun rays. The path is carpeted with red and white flowers from the end of the stairs to the gazebo. The path also forks at two other places, one to the right leading to an exquisite swing jhula, where the one to the left leading to a pentagon tent, also covered in red and white drapes, flowers, and glass stones. It seems as if the tent does not have a ceiling. It seems to be just covered with 5 walls of drapes. This was more vivid and picturesque than anything she had ever seen before. Air, Sky, Water, Hills, Flowers, birds, butterflies, earth โ€“ everything coming together, to reunite these estranged souls. Geet enters the Gazebo, rendered Speechless. She just stands there staring at what was offered to her. Maan walks up behind her, and puts his hands on her shoulders. She turns around, looking into his eyes in gratefulness. She is softened now, Maan noticed. So he pulls her close, puts one of his arms around her waist, and plants a kiss on her cheek. Geet breathes harder and closes her eyes for an instant. Maan breaks her free, and gets on his knees, then grabs both of her hands.

Maan kisses her hands softly, looks up at her, and speaks. "Aaj mein hamare saare gile shikwe door kar dena chahta hoon. Hamare beech ki yeh dooriyan mita dena chahta hoon. Meri aur tumhari is nayi zindgi ki, ek nayi shuruaat karna chahta hoon. Kya tum mera saath dogi?" Geet, who was lost in his eyes till now snaps out and responds to him โ€“ "Maan, aap jaante ho ki mein aisa nahi kar sakti. Aap ne jo shabd bole the wohhโ€ฆ" "Kya bola tha meine Geet?" Maan interrupts her. "Tum ne to apne dil ki baat bata di mujhe Geet, aur maine tumhari baat maan bhi li. Mein gunehgaar hoon. Aur mujhe sazaa mil bhi rahi hai. Pal pal tadapne ki sazaa, tumhare itne paas hote hue bhi tumse door rehne ki sazaa, duniya ke saamne tumhe apni biwi na keh pane ki sazaa! Sazaa to mein bhugat raha hoon! Haan Geet!!! Sazaa mein us din se bhugat raha hoon, jis din humne apne bachche ko kho diya tha. Toota hua tha mein. Lekin is aas ne sambhale rakha ki bas, tumhare udaas chehre pe ek halki si muskurahat ki surkhi nazar aa jaaye. Koshish pe koshish karta gaya, par shayad wohh kafi nahi thi. Mein jo kuch bhi karta, us se tum naaraz ho jati thi. Tumne baat tak karna bandh kar diya tha mujh se. Apna dard baatna bandh kar diya tha mujh se. Is dard mein main aur toot raha tha. Man hi man jal raha tha. Apne dil ki baat, ki mein hamari zindgi ki nayee shuruaat karna chahta hoon, bata nahi paa raha tha tumko. Meri beqarari badh rahi thi. Dev ke hamari zindgi mein rehne se mujhe koi problem nahi honi chahiye, aur iska asar hamari zindgi mein nahi hona chahiye, yeh main tumhare kehne pe samajh chukka tha. Mujhe usse koi problem nahi thi. Lekin mujhe uske irado par hamesha se hi shak raha hai. Tumhare babaji ki kasam Geet, mujhe khud laga tha ki shayad dev ko tumne, meri vajah se maaf kiya ho. Par tumne bhi to mujhe kuch bataya nahi. Itni badi baat tumne mujh se chupai? Kyon? Tumne uske gunaaho ke liye use maaf kiya, koi baat nahi, lekin wohh tumhare saath holi khel sakta hai, yeh meri choti si samajh ke baahar tha. Aur mein dar bhi raha tha, ki is maafi ki aad mein Dev koi aur chot naa pahochae tumhe. Mujhe sirf aur sirf tumhara khayaal tha. Tumhari chinta thi. Mujhe laga mere labzo ko sunkar shayad tum dev se door rahogi, lekin tum to mujhse hi door ho gayi. Kya karoon mein Geet? Kahaan jaun? Toot raha hoon mein. Doob raha hoon. Mujhe thaam lo. Varna pata nahi meinโ€ฆ" The precious tear pearls are now gushing from his aching eyes. "Maan!" Geet who has been listening to him in shock till now stops him from saying anything worse. "Aap mujh se wohh maang rahe ho, jo ab mumkin nahi hai!" Her remorse now evident on her face. "Aap ne abhi jo kaha usseโ€ฆ" Maan gets up, turns around and walks away from her before she could finish her sentence.

Geet lets him leave. She stands there looking at him walking away, and continues thinking to herself. It is at this very epidemic moment where she realizes how unfair she has been to her man. May be she has failed in understanding him. May be she also didn't try hard enough to make things right. May be she misunderstood what he had blamed her for. May be what she thought was his dil ki baat, wasn't. May be he didn't articulate it the way he wanted to. She knows he has a habit of giving facts masks of senselessness just to hide his weaknesses. Was this another one of Maan Singh Khurana's underlying guise behind what he was really feeling all along? How did she forget that so often he says what he doesn't mean to say and doesn't say what he is dying to say? The man who has left his own life to follow her and to win her back, who immensely loves her, can kill and die to protect her, can he have misunderstood her? How did she make such a devastating mistake? Could she have left her own HOME for a misunderstanding? Was that the truth? If that was the truth, then she needs to be punished. She doesn't deserve this man โ€“ who divinely loves her. There is no question of her forgiving him anymore. It seems he hasn't done anything wrong in the first place, other than getting angry. She feels ashamed, low, that she has shattered him by leaving him. She has punished him the ultimate penalty for the sin he hadn't committed. How is she to face him now? But she knows she has to talk to him. She has to stop his suffering. And then leave. She cannot go back to him because she might hurt him like this again in the future, she fears.

Maan is standing away from her, at the edge of the hill, staring at the faraway hills and the water of the lake. His eyes still moist. "Maan!" A voice comes from behind. Maan turns around. Geet looks lovingly at him, putting her hand on his cheek to try to ease his pain, to comfort him. "Mein aap ko maaf karne ke laayak mahi hoon. Aap mujhe maaf kar dijiye. Mujhe aap ka dard samajhna chahiye tha. Aap se baat karni chahiye thi. Baby to aap ne bhi khoya hai. Hai na?" Her voice now cracking, but continuing. "Mujhe aap se kehna chahiye tha ki mein bhi aap ke saathe ek nayi zindgi ki shuruaat karna chahti hoon. Bata dena chahiye tha ki meine Dev ko maaf kiya, aur kyu kiya. Mujhe aap ko mauka dena chahiye tha, yeh batane ka ki aap Dev pe barosa nahi karte aur mujhe usse door rakhna chahte hai. Mujhe puchna chahiye tha aap se ki aap kyu naaraz hai. Meine Us insaan ke saath holi nahi kheli, Jisne meri zindgi barbaad ki thi. Meine Dadi ma ke pote, apne Devar ke saath holi kheli. Us insaan ke saath kheli jise mein maaf kar chuki thi. Agar mein aisa nahi karti, toh wohh maafi puri nahi hoti, hai na? Mujhe maaf kar dijiye Maan!"

Tears flood down both their eyes. They lock each other in an unyielding embrace. A divine sense of peace, closure, and serenity in both their eyes. No one is letting go of the other, holding on to their dear life.
