Vidya's boyfriend wants Ash

Siddharth Roy Kapur is hell-bent on making a film with the Bachchan bahu even though the story is similar to that of his girlfriend's film. 

Vidya Balan may hold a special place in Siddharth Roy Kapur's (SRK) life. However, when it comes to professional decisions, her beau doesn't relent. 

Says a trade source, " Madhur Bhandarkar had almost shelved Heroine. He even told this to a senior journalist over a cup of coffee on March 2 that he wasn't keen to make this film becauseMilan Luthria's making The Dirty Picture that's also set against the backdrop of the film industry. 

Madhur felt it would be a bit much to have two films releasing around the same time with similar subjects." However what Madhur proposed, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur opposed. They hold Madhur in high esteem especially after Fashion and are pushing him to make Heroine. Says our source, "It is Siddharth who even spoke toAishwarya Rai Bachchan asking her whether she would meet Madhur for a basic narration of Heroine." 

Sid felt that since Madhur had done such detailing on the script of Heroine, it would be a shame to put it on the back-burner. Unwittingly Sid has worked against his girlfriend's interests. Madhur refused to comment on the issue.
