Wednesday, March 16, 2011 | 6:45:15 PM IST (+05:30 GMT)The likes of Harsh Chhaya, Priyanka Bassi, Kunal Verma, Karan Mehra and many others have been roped in to play the lead roles in the show...
B.P. Singh's Fireworks Productions has given television the most popular and long running show in CID. The same production house provided viewers with the one of its kind silent comedy on TV in Gutur Gu on SAB TV. And now, they are all set to give the audience the first one hour daily, that too a crime thriller in television history!!
Yes, you heard it right!! Fireworks Productions is planning a 32 episodes Crime Thriller on Sony Entertainment Television based on the incredible cases which get solved by a set of crime investigative officers.
The yet untitled show, we hear will comprise of three different investigative teams. Harsh Chhaya will essay the role of a blind officer, a super genius who heads the teams.
Karan Mehra who is presently seen in Behenein, Priyanka Bassi and Swati Taldar (both of Left Right Left fame) and Kunal Verma have been roped in to play daring, bold officers. Nagesh Bhosle who is regular in Ram Gopal Verma movies and Vinay Apte, a big name in Bollywood will also be part of the show. New faces Neha Galotia and Sumit Vats will also be seen as part of the team.
Our source states, "The show will have a different story everyday, and this means that viewers will be getting to see four different stories in a week. The untitled show is expected to get the time slot of 9-10 PM and will begin from April 4th".
We tried contacting Harsh Chhaya, but he remained unavailable.
Kunal Verma who was last seen in Sony's Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Naata Koi confirmed his presence in the show.
Priyanka Bassi who recently made her comeback with Rang Badalti Odhani said, "Yes, this role is going to be an extension of Naina seen in Left Right Left. I am happy to have taken up this role, as my fans wanted to see me in such a bold and strong role".
We tried calling Producer B.P. Singh, but he remained unavailable for comment.
Our efforts to reach Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, Sony remained futile.
Well, this is one genre that has definitely worked for Sony, and the cast certainly looks impressive!!
