@Madz - yeah most profs/depts dont have funds for masters. The funds they get can be used a tuition fee for research students only. So they can give fellowship for very students from their endowments. So they are very picky about the students.

No Madz! I did master in Anna Uni and PhD in Bangalore. I went to the US only after PhD for post doc.
