Your performance in Patiala House has received many good reviews. What do you feel about it?
It is good that critics have praised my performance. For me, as you know, it is very rare, so thank you critics! (laughs).
Your 2011 diary seems to be full. You are working round the clock…
Yes, that's the plan. I am indeed working round the clock. I have four films this year: Joker, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai-2, Housefull-2, and Namastey London-2, and there is also an action film for Prabhudeva, which I will start shooting for at the end of the year.
What's this sequel game?
(Laughs) These films have done well, and people want to watch more of them. That's why the directors are coming up with sequels. It will be fun because some are my films, and some have been done by others. When you work on a sequel, you have to be really careful, as it has to be better than the previous one.
You have done a lot of comedies, but this year, your work seems to be a mix of everything…
Yes, I have decided to do different genres of films, because audiences always want to watch something different. Like, Patiala House was an emotional film, which attracted family audiences. It got a slow opening, but later on, the response was good. The same was the case with Namastey London. Then, there is the Once Upon A Time In Mumbai sequel, which will be an action film. I will be doing something like that for the first time, so I am quite excited about it. And there is another interesting project called Joker, which is a 3-D film. Then, I am back at comedy inHousefull-2.
