I see my Mom does it all the time and SHE IS THE BEST MIL (it is not me who says this but my Bhabi 
) but doesn;t mean there can't be any other motives...I know there was a lot of discussion went on about how savita was acting like a parasite.....and I know that I will hurt a lot....but isn't it to an extend true...that we all do things at the end for some reasons.....in India it is expected that kids look after their parents at their old age...right....so there is an expectation for the duty of bringing up kids....many philosophers say people do things only for themselves at the end...it is true....I am a MOM....I want my kids to look after me when I am old...I might not think anything is wrong in it....But I am bring up the kids, educating them with the hope they look after me...so there is a thing for me in my Sacrifice?The following 2 member(s) liked the above post:

No WONDER Archana UNDERSTANDS Savita's SLAP .
Tanya I dont think she wants to go there with any UNTOWARD GUILT at all . She has a VERY clear grasp of the facts and compassion for the old woman . I dont think she will be CHUTNEYED at all ...........and this seperate SANSAAR won't WORK in that lower middle class scenario AT ALL . The Deshmukhs need some HAPPINESS . One aspect amazes me most. It's not an easy job to cater to so many posts days in days out. To stay alert,( almost apprehensively!?), lest your not answering hurt them for an unintended snub, and then to reply with such consistency. This must be taking lots of personal time and yet you are ready to provide a wide reaching receptacle of varying thoughts/opinions and passionate debates. This ought to be thanked hugely. As well are congratulations for completing a year of that live platform. The one, which itself had been germinated from a similar kind (to this one) of appreciative thread by some member named dharati.
And how can I not remember your Archana's defenses!?- Those interesting and witty dialogues which had placed me regular on this forum? And then later on tolerating conflicting views…Good job Koolsadhu!!
As for the episode- another day of an unwelcome small voice, mismatching with general consensus prevailing here …
Usha Nadkarni is a virtuoso and a veteran hand- all kudos to her…Aai was powerfully presented today. The rapidly conjured and speedily delivered Chawl gossip track had been perhaps, conceived precisely for this purpose. To present her powerfully. Especially when a blatantly public dance of actual larceny by Dharmesh and co, stay so conveniently unnoticed…...And for so many close-ups of a profound grief, why not a straight and simple open heart welcome and some show of real motherly concern for her child's happiness, (oh yea, such an ungrateful child)…That's why all those deep anguishes and furrowed lines over sunken eyes…Great act Ushaji.

Great commentary today, as always. Go Savita, that's the way to handle these people. Bhashans wont work with them. Also loved that she walked away telling Manav that she will learn to un-love him reminding him of his own words. Also, she didnt take the veggies on his credit since he told her he was not her son anymore. Loved that also. That is the best way to deal with one-track minded, no-clue-how-to-handle-any crisis Manav. Now that she gave him the cold shoulder, he's atleast considering that he shouldn't have talked that way to his mom. Till now, Savita kept visiting him and all so he didn't know how it would feel if she cut off relations with him like he did with her. I like this new strength of character Savita displayed
, I now want her not lose her mental imbalance and focus on little Sachu and Vandita and Damodar. Manav and Savita will both realise their mistakes in due course of time, but in the meanwhile as Manav is living happily with Archana, I want Savita also to be happy in her house with her family instead of pining for Manav.
