Then, MSK propels SUNmeera over to the NES without spectacles.
Lovingly, he looks at SUNmeera and asks her to extend her left hand. SUNmeera's joy knows no bounds. She extends her left hand. MSK takes his hand in hers. His expression turns into one of joyous wonder.
Aghast, Geet looks at MSK.
Wordlessly, he holds out SUNmeera's left hand and also takes NES's right hand. On both of them are tattooed the letters "KKS" in exactly the same inscription.
SUNmeera breathlessly asks, "Kya hua?"
MSK finally finds his vocal chords. And he sings,
"Tera mujhse hi pehle ka naata koi,
Yoonhi nahi dil lubaata koi,
Jaane tu ya jaane na
Maane tu ya maane na."
Another flash of memory had returned. Along with the bespectacled sister, was another sister without spectacles ... NES' twin, one they lovingly called Sunny. There were two of them -- Annie and Sunny.
Time for a family hug. Folks, allow them some privacy. No shutterbugs allowed.😉
PS: KKS stands for Kanjoos Khurana's sisters
