"Mishal"

Hi guys...
Well I was wondering what is the meaning of the name "Mishal"; what's its origin (european,hindou,muslim etc...)
In fact the first time I heard this name it was a Polish guy who had participated in a french reality show (like indian idol)...then I was surprised to hear a name like this in indian industry...I thought it was more european name ...is this "Mishal"  a common name in india?

After some research I found out that it's a biblical origin then I found that it's a muslim name means "torch , light"...
Lol what's the truth behind "Mishal" ....Lol I m just a little bit curious...

It's of Arabic origin and does mean light in the form of a torch or beacon, I believe 😊 Beautiful name and beautiful meaning.

I think Mishal means torch and its 

So is Mishal a variation of the word "Mashaal" then? Cuz that's the word I know of that means "torch" or "flame torch"

the word meaning example in not mishal its 'misaal', even i dont know wht mishal means

MASHAL MEANS---TORCH

Oh thanks! This clears things up....I also always thought MASHAAL meant torch, not Mishal....so Mishal means example or trend? Nice😆 Either ways, it suits him😆
