Bollywood is full of surprises, the latest being, Sanjay Gupta's new avatar as a songwriter. He's penned the title track for his film Zinda, 'Mein Zinda Hoon'. Gupta's dream project is being readied for release in early January.
Says Gupta, "I spoke to various lyric-writers for this song since I wanted to get the words right. It's been written with the main protagonist in mind and it attempts to capture his feelings at that particular moment," says Gupta.
Inspiration struck when he was driving to Pune one day. "The lines just came to me and it seemed so right that I just went ahead and penned them down. It's just one of those things which happen. Thankfully it turned out well and everything fell in place," Gupta exclaims.
The irony of it is that Gupta isn't even sure if he'll be using the song in the film, "Our basic idea is to make Zinda a song-less film. So, don't be surprised if you don't find the song in the film."
