Kudumbasree Travels - A humour filled travels

Following the success of Saji Surendran, more and more young directors are entering big screen from their humble openings in the television screen. Some of the TV serial directors who achieved commendable success last year includes Radhakrishnan Managalathu (Sakudumbam Shyamala) and N R Sanjeev (Janakan).The new young director to add into this list will include that of Kiran, of famous serial 'Ettu Sundarikalaum Njanum', who will debut with his movie 'Kudumbasree travels'.

Jayaram plays the lead in this humorous entertainer. He will be attempting a change of looks for this new movie, which will have him as Aravindan, a common innocent villager of chithirapuram village and a member of a family full of Koothu artists. He has decided that he would only marry a girl who knows the art form and finds one in Aswathy, a Nagiarkoothu artist who hails from a rich family in the Cochin city. Aravindan's uncle Pachu has some other plans in mind, and is all set to prevent the marriage from happening. The entire village now goes to take part in the wedding. Kudumbasree Travels is the name of an old bus on which they set out to the city, to attend the marriage function of Aravindan. The movie is narrated amidst this bus travel to the Cochin metro.

Planned as a nonstop comedy, 'Kudumbashree Travels' will be scripted by Thomas Thoppilkudy famous for many mimics' cassettes. Bijibal is in charge of the music department while Murali Raman handles the cinematography. V T sreejith is the editor while Sameeera Saneesh handles the costume department.

Bhavana will play the role of Aswathy, the heroine while Radhika will come up as mysterious characters around who revolves the big twists in the movie. Jayaram who is badly in need of a hit has realised the potential of the character and has appeared without his characteristic moustache, for the first time in his illustrious career of 24 years. Jagathy, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Mamukoya, P. Sree Kumar, Kalpana, KPAC Lalitha and others are also part of the cast of the movie. Produced by Mythri visuals, 'Kudumbasre Travels' will get into theatres this month.
