Abhay is deeply hurt and shattered by one person who was becoming a part of his life - a person for whom he had done so much, how could she make a mockery out of him and Maithili. She knew Maithili is Abhay's weakness, when it comes to Maithili he can be really vulnerable and yet she betrayed him. How could she ? But Abhay can never hurt anyone, he couldn't.
And Pia is so irrevocably in love with him, and he would be the last person she would ever want to hurt. Her monologues were really sad where she is sitting alone and crying 'I need you to be happy. Main tumhe akela iss aag mein jalte hue nahi dekh sakti, main toh tumhe wahan se nikalna chahti hoon'.
As of now they both are in a terrible state emotionally. You just feel so very bad for both of them. And all the times when Abhay would ask her to stay away because it would destroy her (like the initial promo - matt aao mere kareeb aag hoon main jal jaogi) is making perfect sense. Like it has always been said - theirs is a forbidden love story.
Indeed they are connected, it is an inexplicable connection. And yeah, what Maithili is to Abhay, Abhay is to Pia. I don't know if Abhay will go back to help her, will he listen to her screams and will he once again be her saviour - I hope so. Abhay and Pia's pained expressions were a horrible sight.
