Yeah, I just watched it. I'm not exactly angry...just resigned....unhappy. BnB interaction, their dynamic is completely gone..everyone's in their own little space...and Hannah is given too much screen space for my liking.
Booth's reaction in the car could still be justified...he was taken aback...already in a relationship....went into denial...Hannah..blah blah blah. But what now....I'm really surprised at Booth. At the beginning of this epi, he was guilty because he hasn't told Hannah about Brennan's declaration (which btw wasn't even a proper declaration of love or something he can't live without telling his gf) but there was no guilt for refusing Brennan, not even a twinge of grief, or you know...longing..not even regret at what could have been....he has been in love with this women for 5 years..and she just bared her heart to him, won't he feel something? Anything? Is love so easily forgotten...or replaced? And this is BOOTH for crying out loud...I know he's an honorable man..he would never dump Hannah because of Brennan, but there should be a hitch in his 'I'm-sooo-happy-with-my-not-a-consolation-prize' attitude...his attitude with Brennan...something. He disappointed me. HH disappointed me. They ruined it...they freakin' ruined it...
I understand Brennan's attitude. She has always been like this...I expected her to retreat back into her hole...she would be the last person to show anyone she's hurt. But again, I was surprised by Hannah's attitude too....there's no insecurity? No jealousy? No bitchiness? How is that possible? This chick knows that Booth had feelings for Brennan...even if 'it's all in the past'....and now she gets to know that Brennan has feelings for him too...and she felt no anxiety or hesitancy..no anger? Bullshitt!!! What a pathetic triangle this is!
I didn't think it was possible, but I'm hating Booth...like reallyyyy hating him now! And even if Ang-Hodgn got good scenes and the case was better than usual...the epi was dull...DULL! As if there's no...spark left in it.
WORD.....the whole reason why I was pissed off was seeing how much Booth was changed....not even a LITTLE discomfort or consideration for BRENNAN....his entire focus and guilt was on "oh I need to tell Hannah" and even when he told her or Sweets, there was this sense of "yeah whatever, Brennan told me she had feelings for me"....I just can not digest this being the same guy we've seen in the last five years who loved Brennan with all his heart and soul.....who understood her like no other....loved her FOR her oddness, not rolling his eyes and laughing about it with Hannah like he now does.....I don't even know who THIS guy is.....this guy doesn't give a crap that BRENNAN opened herself up to him like that....the woman who never believed she had it in her but still finally put her heart on the line....who has lived with such abandonment issues all her life that she's scared.....now I think he never really understood that vulnerable side of Brennan...she's just a joke to him.
I just found the entire treatment to be so half-baked....even when Hannah told Brennan that she knows, all we got was a moment of hurt on Brennan's face "Booth told you?" and then everyone INCLUDING Hannah rushed to brush this under the carpet like it never happened.....ridiculous....is this supposed to make us LIKE Hannah? That she was oh so "mature" and didn't care about this fact?
Basically there was this feel of fakeness running throughout the epi especially coming from Booth and Hannah in all their scenes....and the reason why there was no spark....cuz BnB are the spark of this show....and they didn't show a single worthwhile scene b/w them....most of the epi was spent in showing how Booth has nil consideration for Brennan anymore and has "moved on" with his "perfectly understanding" girlfriend and the end was the most disgusting with Brennan enjoying random dude hitting on her all the while with Hannah's encouragement
