fulfilling episode indeed!! Loved watching it,wanted more and was not
satisfied when it got over ( will have to wait for Monday now)
A classic act by MIK yet again....very very natural and honest.
The episode opens with RG house- hunting in the lanes of Haridwar.Rudra has all the luggage and is still holding Gauri's hand.Loved the sight,it showed the protective side of Rudra towards Gauri which looked awww soo cute.
They look at many places but no success.
Rudra buys newspaper with his two coins to look up for a house on rent ad (awwwww loooved the way MIK did that lil scene,the innocent way Rudra looks and makes sure the amount is correct )
At last,they plan to take separate ways and search for a house in different areas of the city....R goes to Raiwala and G goes to Har ki Pauri.They decide to meet again after 3 hours at the same place.
They take to their ways but Rudra comes back hurriedly to gauri and asks her that will she be comfortable in looking for a house in the crowdy lanes.Gauri assures him that she is used to all this and will be fine.
Rudra was very caring and tenderly caresses her cheek saying 'Apna khayaal rakhna' awwwwwwww
They start walking and turn to look at each other and Rudra looks amazing ( MIK always does his best with such 'turn' wala scenes....how can we forget the turns of Angad,Shiv,Shaurya,Zaib,abhi,Shankar

RR crying-JR unhappy with her- leaves for a business trip-RR worried for her 'Haweli ki Dhadkan' Rudra (we agreeeeeee!!!)
It starts raining and R is sitting all drenched waiting for Gauri.
She comes,trying to fend off rain with her pallu...Rudra immediately gets up and brings her under the shade of a tea shop and orders Chai
They both sit on a bench and discuss about the failure of not getting a house under their budget.
Rudra suggests that they should try in the adjacent town Rishikesh cos all options in haridwar are not affordable.
G says she has a place in mind but only if he agrees to visit and take a look.Rudra excitedly gets up to move.Praises the Chai 'bhaiyya chai bahut acchi thhi,phir dobaara aaram se piyenge...Gauri tu ruk main rickshaw lekar aata hoon'
They both sit in the rickshaw and reach the place.Its still raining and Rudra realizes the area is near to Gauri's Mohalla.
The landlord unlocks the door and RG enter.
Its just a room with lots of dust and dirt all over.
Rudra is shocked to see the uncleanliness and goes everywhere touching the layers of dust and spider webs.
He complains about the condition but G says she'll clean it up in no time.
Rudra says we can't do this even if kept cleaning all our lives.
'Ye saaf karegi tu...ya ye karegi..saari umar beet jayegi tab bhi saafai nahi ho paayegi'
Then he questions about the kitchen ,which actually is just a corner in the same room..
"matlab kitchen bhi yahi,bedroom bhi yahi,drawing bhi yahin.
aur bed kahan hai..soyegi kahan tu'
He looks for the bathroom and notices a curtain in the room..he draws it apart to reveal a little space which is the bathroom
As he pushes the curtain..'Don't tell me!! Unbelievable!! ye hai!!..yahan khade kaise honge....ye toe ghar mein hi hai..Gauri tu yahan Ghar me nahayegi..nahin nahin..tu yahan nahi nahayegi
On asking about the bathroom,the landlord directs them to a public toilet which exists outside in the lane and a very dirty water tap.
On finding such an unhealthy atmosphere and no proper sanitation facilities,Rudra finally gives up
He is so shocked to see a place like this..that he walks out of the place .
All drenched he holds Gauri by the hand and walks out in hurry.
Nahin Nahin Nahin is all he replies to gauri's repeated requests.
G stops him and asks him how much money he has in his pocket right now.R tells her its enough to rent a decent place.
G enlightens him that as he has never rented one he doesn't know about the formalities...and that they need more money to make advance payments.
She asks him that if we wants we can easily go and ask his parents for help to which R maintains that he will never look back at his Haweli.
G says that she understands that its very difficult for him to move from a palatial mansion into a tiny place like this but not impossible.
She questions him that where will they spend the night...to which R has no answer
She assures him that they both will save up to rent a decent house but for the time-being they will have to cope up with this option
Freeze
The episode made a very tragic statement though the tone was subdued.
Rudra,who in the words of the narrator in the first episode,'was born with not a silver but a golden spoon' was shown paying in coins for the newspaper,hiring rickshaws,looking for a shelter in narrow lanes of the city,and getting just a room with nothing decent to it.....
The man who has lived in richness and glory is rendered with no shelter.
All of this...the expressions of a lil fear,struggle and misery were portrayed in just the most perfect manner they should have been by MIK.
You wanted to laugh at his innocence of finding a bathroom/kitchen existing in the same room but could not cos he showed you that this was shocking and tragic.
Kudos to him for being what he is !!!!
