@Priti...I agree with what you are saying...but think from the point of view of Geet....The man who completely disowned her is accepting her...and also asking to be forgiven....

Even in real life when couples go against their parents and get married....and angry words are exchanged and many even consider their children as dead for them....but the children...especially a girl will always keep hoping for acceptance and when it comes from the man in her family who has wronged her the most then there is nothing wrong in both Geet and Maan forgiving him and seeking his blessings...
